Few days back me and a friend of mine who is a keen yoga student started a conversation on a FB post of a friend. In the post she described how she feels about life and how everything is crowded , how she is getting the rough from life and how she is trying to work on balancing & staying connected + trying to keep a good attitude through all this with the help of  yoga/meditation practice.
We got connected to her via the 6 week course in Pokhara Nepal when she came for her yoga teacher training certification in Vedic Yoga Academy.  The facebook discussion we had with her was on the observation/experiences we all had when we came back to the western world after having spent time in Nepal working on ourselves, our perspective, and how living in the laws of nature flourishes everything in every way.  The question we all had was that how came we are struggling to bring what we have learned when back in our daily lives?
To me it seems like the major difference is this - when I decided to do my 200 hours Yoga Teacher Training in Nepal, I was open for ideas, my heart ready to expand & my mind was ready for new perspectices. In short, I was excited to do my 200 hours Yoga Teacher Training in Nepal. When I was there, I could feel it happening – I learnt  and learnt, I was shown newer dimensions and I loved the new findings about myself and life in my Yoga Teacher Training in Nepal.
Fast forward to now, when I am back in my surroundings , there is a part which I feel that I left behind in my Yoga Teacher Training in Nepal. Don’t get me wrong. I am not complaining. So much has changed for me {my heart, my perceptions, my awareness} that I am looking to go deep into the realm of Yoga and the normal life is not motivating me. The challenge is to incorporate the new learning in the normal life. To tell you frankly, it has been a bit of up and down, once I came back.
If I ask you to leave your mundane set life behind and go to do a Yoga Teacher Training in Nepal which you absolutely love and then come back again to the mundane life, then surely your heart would want to go back and continue the exciting journey, wouldn’t it?
What I understood is that the Yoga Teacher Training in Nepal has given me the environment where  growth & transformation happened and practice made me realize that the  results are absolutely stunning.  Then the training was over and came the hard part – to make adjustments in the old life in bits and pieces , rather than completely flipping it upside down.  I realized that it is so important to bring others with my journey.  In the transformation process, I openly connected with others.  This connection helped in the later part to give inspiration and help in total transformation, after the Yoga Teacher Training in Nepal was over.
I take this moment and ask you to start your journey if you haven't and stay strong on your chosen path. Always remember- You are destined - to be you.

This is a written experience of a Yoga teacher who wanted to become Yoga Teacher for quite some time & did a screening process before she decided to do her Yoga Teacher training in Nepal. Now I’m officially a yoga teacher. But what is that?
This all started a few months back when I decided that I will do my Yoga Teacher Training from Nepal and paid my fees to Vedic Yoga Academy.
The questions that I bothered to ask myself
I will start from the start. I am doing this for the sake of those students who want to do thier Yoga teacher Training in Nepal.  I asked myself hard questions like, “Am I willing to put my body through mild forms of torture for 28 days?” “Am I that into yoga?” “Do I plan on teaching?” “Do I value myself practice enough to pay upwards of $2,000-$4,000 to improve it?”
The questions were all practical and were asking me to weigh my wish against the commitment. To tell you the truth, I submitted my upfront $200 deposit with my school first and then all these questions started to bother me.
Ask yourself - What? Which? When?
Okay, so I decided to pursue the yoga teacher training.  But before I actioned my decision, I figured out the type of yoga I wanted to do, the school from which I wanted to gain Yoga Knowledge, and scheduling that was right for me.
I aksed myself What type of yoga I enjoyed and valued most?  What information I would like to pass on to others, once I am a Yoga Teacher?
For me, this was simple, I absolutely love vinyasa flow yoga, which also falls under the ashtanga title.  Basically it means linking the body movements with the flow of one’s breath.  It’s fluid and beautiful and it’s the right type of yoga for me so there was no question that I would pursue a school specializing in ashtanga/vinyasa.
Then I did a bit of Google Search on ‘Yoga teacher Training Nepal’ and zeroed doen on some schools. I looked into the curriculum and  paid great time to study the yoga teachers just to see who inspired me?
I knew I wanted to learn from people who lived a yoga lifestyle every single minute of their life and just not anyone who have the knowledge of asanas & practice them.
I asked myself, from where Yoga originated and that gave me the answer for the Yoga School.  For me it was necessary that my yoga teachers should be of Indian decent, the birthplace of yoga. Also, I wanted an authentic eastern experience so that the yoga I was being taught was as close to the source and truth as possible.
All the above lead me to a single school – Vedic Yoga Academy and because of my per planning, I ended up doing my Yoga teacher training in Nepal from a great school. Hopefully, you would ask yourself similar kind of questions and zero in on a great school for your Yoga teacher Training.

It has been some time that I had this  desire to learn & teach, to help others, to contribute. For some reason, I was drawn to become a certified yoga teacher, and I decided to do my Yoga Teacher training Nepal. After researching the country, I learned that yoga actually originates from the indo Nepal region so perhaps my intuition was, as always, guiding me towards the right choice.
However, when I googled for Yoga Teacher training Nepal, the choices which came were so many that I was overwhelmed and there I just couldn’t go with the intuition.
I started to wonder for where can I do my Yoga teacher training in Nepal?
If you are also considering to do your Yoga Teacher Training in Nepal, then the below will be of some help. I chose to do my Yoga Teacher training in Nepal from Vedic Yoga Academy which is in Pokhara and the below listed is my experience.
How To Get There: If you’re arriving from the International Airport, a transfer can be arranged (mine was free of charge) but if you’re arriving from elsewhere in Nepal, just hop into a bus or taxi towards Pokhara.
What To Expect: As a foodie, I was a bit concerned about the food at Vedic Yoga Academy,  considering the fact that I was staying with them for 28 days but the food was so good that  I was over the moon – every damn day, mind you; literally I would finish my breakfast then immediately start fantasizing about lunch due to excitement. The food was organic, with less spices (I am such a spice lightweight) and satvik which was good for me.
I took some time to explore the local Nepalese culture and the staff was kind enough to either answer every random question I had, or told to visit the places where I can experience true local nepali culture.  I also appreciated the fact that on the compound there was an assortment of produce, and the Vedic Yoga Academy had its own garden to grow organic produce.
the yoga course: spanning 28 days over 200 hours Yoga Teacher training in Nepal, it was surely intense – but also physically and mentally rewarding; physically because the body finally received the treatment it needs and mentally because my mind finally learned to unlearn. The theoretical aspect of the course can be compared to the opening of pandora’s box as the history of yoga spans centuries and the depth of the topic is bottomless. But trust me, you’re going to want to continue learning even once you’ve returned home as 200 hours is actually just scraping the surface.
To know more about the Yoga Teacher training in Nepal you can click their 200 hours course https://vedicyogaacademy.com/yoga-teacher-training-nepal/.

Last year, I chose to do my 200 hour yoga teacher training certification in Nepal from Vedic Yoga Academy. located in the higher Himalayan hills of Pokhara. I chose to write this for you to explore the power of yoga and the reasons from the one who chose to do it without prior knowledge and went through a transformative journey.
If you search for yoga teacher training over google, you will get a lot of results from all over the world. So How do you choose? For me, the decision was based on two parameters:
1. Zeroing down basis the school: going after a well established brand of yoga school, deciding on the basis of  a well-known program, xyz teacher is famous and is a yoga teacher in the very school, it
2. Zeroing down on the basis of location: You always wanted to explore a particular place and the school is within the area. Maybe you can’t travel far and need to find a school close to home. Or, maybe you want to travel far, so you pick a destination first, and then do research to find a credited school in the area.
For me it is the second one.
Why I did my Yoga Teacher Training in Nepal?
I am a hiker and love mountains. Once you are on a mountain, it gives you life perspective like no other. And Asia was on my list of destinations to explore. Speaking of life perspectives, I always wanted to do Yoga teacher training as heard that the experience is worth the time invested. So for locations, I chose to do my Yoga Teacher Training in Nepal.
Nepal has always been a spiritual hub with a strong presence of both Hinduism and Buddhism, and is the birthplace to Lord Buddha. If you roam the place, there are hindu temples and buddhist stupas everywhere. While I was there, I was learning and immersing in various religion with whom my last interaction was in school via textbooks only.
While doing my Yoga Teacher Training in Nepal I enjoyed best of both worlds : hustle and bustle of the city, and peace and calm in the hills. The city of Pokhara is vibrant, crowded, and dusty. And when you move a bit from the city, the surroundings were natural, calm and serene.
At Vedic Yoga Academy, I stayed for a month. The life pace here was slow and calm and the air was crisp. I chose the school when it came on my Google search and I’m going to post a full review of Vedic Yoga Academy in the future, but in a nutshell they truly did an amazing job at capturing the essence of Nepal in their course. My  Yoga Teacher Training in Nepal was spiritually-focused, accommodating, and peaceful.
