The reason I'm so hostile towards the "egg prime directive" is because of the older trans woman I met who had resigned herself to die without ever transitioning.

Her deepest desire her whole life had been to be a woman but she never considered transitioning because as far as everything in her life had told her, she wasn't "allowed" to.

Transgender was something other people were. She had too many responsibilities to various people, to her job, to society, all that demanded that she be man and bury the "fantasy" of any other possibility.

No one in her life was willing to tell her different until she actually met other trans women.

I refuse to let that be another girls situation while I can do something about it.

i dont know why anyone else misses analog board games, but to me, it's because physical parts let me cheat. there's no moving pieces around when someone isnt looking in a chess app, no sneaking bonus pieces out of the graveyard in checkers, no double drawing cards in go fish.

i spent years developing those skills as a Professional Little Brother. what am i supposed to do now, go back to college? learn how to play games the right way? i mean, who gives a shit? the fun part was never the game, it was the Getting Away With It. or, you know, for the rest of my family, Catching The Bastard. now that was entertainment.
