I miss having a summer vacation. Endless days of doing the same thing with friends and it not getting boring or repetitive. Late nights. Late mornings. Hot afternoons. Shorts. Flip flops that turn the bottom of your feet black because of how worn and dirty they’ve become. Swimming. Getting out of the pool and getting grass on your feet and having someone yell at you to not jump back in the pool with grass stuck to you. Doing it anyway. Hearing the ice cream truck and never catching it on time or waiting ten minutes too early because it’s four blocks behind you. Playing at the school playground. I miss being a kid. It was so easy.
