i am extremely new to the community (discovered the tag on total accident just a few days ago!) but its honestly one of the best things to ever happen to me. ive had these unexplainably intense emotions surrounding a specific character and i spent all my time obsessively consuming their content, but i thought i was just “weird” or “wrong” for feeling that way. after years of being doubtful and alone and embarrassed, finding such a sweet and fun community now makes me so unbelievably happy!! all the imagine prompts make my heart burst and seeing people share their art makes me smile!!

take a moment to appreciate the community you have and pat your f/o on the head for me ❤️

i am once again saying that there is nothing wrong with being a non-sharing selfshipper. there's nothing wrong with blocking people who share one (or multiple) of your f/os. there's nothing wrong with telling doubles not to interact with you. setting boundaries for yourself and your online space is a moral neutral and has nothing to do with being "insecure" or some other negative. if you find that insulting or belittling, that's on you; not on the person setting the boundary. quit trying to make non-sharers into bad guys.

f/o who is bad at expressing emotions but they care so extremely much about you even if it seems like they don’t. your voice being their favorite thing ever, their thoughts sometimes full with nothing but you. a stare that lingers far too long, reaching quietly for your hand when needed along with a little squeeze (or three, an unsaid i love you). a smile/look they have that’s reserved for you and only you. with all the unspoken feelings and gestures they do, they truly hope even those seemingly little things reach you.

Imagine snuggling on the couch with your F/O. They insist on you laying on top of them while you snuggle, wholly convinced that's the only way you'll both be comfy.

Are they significantly taller than you? To the point where you have to use their chest as a pillow... Their arms enveloping you completely, pinning you snuggly against them. One hand gently tangling in your hair as they rub your back slowly, almost lulling you to sleep. Even if the only other thing they can do is kiss the top of your head periodically/sporadically.

Or are they only slightly taller than you? Where you can comfortably rest your head/chin on their shoulder as you snuggle. Their arms comfortably tight around your waist as you trade kisses to the neck and face. Every so often going after your lips at the risk of getting a little spicy.

Maybe you're the tall one but boy are they stubborn about holding you in their lap. Arms wrapped tightly around you as you try to balance over them and not squish them... but they are tough little buggers and love having your chest so close to their face. Easier for them to trail soft kisses as far up your neck as they reach.

No matter what, your F/O just wants to make sure you're comfy. They adore snuggling with you every chance they get. Doesn't matter what else is going on, they just want to be close to you...

shoutout to selfshippers who depend on their f/o. who can't ship them with others because it hurts to imagine them having another partner.

shoutout to the selfshippers who are touch starved or lonely, who can't bring themself to love anyone like they love their f/o. who rarely ever (or never) crush on others because their love for their f/o is too strong.

shoutout to those who print out pictures of their f/o, have them as their wallpaper, imagine them next to you, draw and write about them. who treat them like an irl partner.

shoutout to selfshippers who don't just like their f/o because they're "your type," or they're attractive. shoutout to the selfshippers who have a deeper connection with them than that.

shoutout to the selfshippers with many f/os, and the ones who only have one or two.

shoutout to the selfshippers who kin characters from their f/o's source material, even if it creates some weird rarepairs. (i've been there.)

shoutout to the selfshippers who hate what happened to their f/o in their source material, and to those who love every direction it went.

shoutout to selfshippers with quote unquote "weird," f/os, or nonhuman ones. shoutout to selfshippers who are open about that fact, or who are nervous to tell others about it, even other selfshippers.
