1953 Curly Hetchins Experto Crede
A "Curly" Hetchins Experto Crede in original unrestored condition complete with period parts. The Experto Crede ("trust the expert") was produced from 1951 and is identified by the lug design which is thought to be one of the best examples of Hetchins work. The "Curly" part refers to the rear and seat stays which include a characteristic curve. The bike is in its original paintwork and has never been restored or modified throughout its 59 year life. The forks are the plain design also seen on the Nulli Secondus, the lugs have the more desirable cast edges (as opposed to the angular pressed option used on later models).

Early Goeland 650b Campeur, Frexel Brakes
Lots of changes to this bike over the years, including a repaint of the frame (not the fork), possibly some braze-ons added or removed, including the derailleur mount from under the chainstay. Some modern components, a JOS FCM tail light and front twin lights. Interesting Frexel cantilever brakes. Gotta love the camper racks with removable lowriders.

French 650b Randonneur Campeur
Many nice elements to this bike, not the least of which is the mixte style Frame tubes used to stabilize the men’s lugged frame.  Notice the additional frame strengthening 5 inches forward of the rear dropouts between the chain stay and the stay above. Le Chat front derailleur, Cyclo rear, red Michelin 650B tires, Maxi Car drum brake, AVA bronze stem, Lefol 60 mm fenders which have a hammer logo.  Fenders do not say Pratique which makes them early, maybe prewar.  Wood rims, Ideale saddle, Philippe Leotard pedals and constructeur rack on back.
Final Price: US $1,775.99 (2 bids)
