I can’t understand waking up choosing to immediately be hateful and spew hate towards a specific individual. Especially when the other option is to enjoy your day and do something beneficial for your own life. I need people to understand that if you woke up with someone on your mind, they’ve won. I think about you a lot. Losing you changed my brain chemistry. It made shit sink in. We were really putting our lives on the line. Everyday I talked to you. We sat side by side at 3am cleaning and logging weapons for hundreds of soldiers for range days while everybody was sleep. Stayed late when everybody went home. Your family was the first to invite me in. Took me to church with you guys, had dinner. And you always kept me laughing, kept my spirits high. One of the last things you did was save our first sergeant from an I.E.D. Got out with just a burn on the back of his hand. That speaks volumes about who you were as a man. Kind, Compassionate and you saved my ass many of times.

My day brightened when I saw you. Setting up your boots, weapon, hat at that alter, and giving my final salute broke something in me I’ll never get back. I experienced so much more life after loosing you. Our Black Hawk was went down with 5 of our soldiers. People committing suicide. I became a gatekeeper shortly after and after becoming our company’s CLS rep I decided I wanted to do more. This weekend I was honered with the 2025 women of Impact award for my activism and education on mental health. You’d be proud of me. You always believed I could do more. You, SSG. Collin’s, and SSG. Shaw were my rocks and to this day you all have my heart. I want you to know I believed you all when you said I could make impact. I’ll continue to be an advacate. More than words, more than attention, IMPACT.

Man…Life is beautiful. The world is beautiful and I pray everyone gets the chance to truly EXPERIENCE LIFE. Be curious. Have a community. Love your family! Fix relationships, stop being petty! Sit by the water, be on the water. Listen to God and stay grounded. Dance wild! Sing loud! Literally, immerse yourself in love. Pour your time and energy into what/who loves you. Listen to me…NOT the things you enjoy and reap no benefit from. Things that steal from your time, energy, your soul, and fill you with negativity. You are supposed to feel fulfilled in everything you do. Everything you do should have the best of intentions. It doesn’t matter how people take it. It’s always about your hearts posture. And, when you choose to love, love with your whole heart and give it to those who truly want to receive it. Remember, "Therefore, what God has joined together, let no one separate." Love is work, but the work ain’t difficult if the love is real.

Having to have a conversation with my ex and realizing why that split was so very necessary. God works in the most interesting of ways. Seperating myself and then having to hear her talk again makes the addiction to struggle so prevelant. The use of always being in some type of dire situation or mental crisis to delay my inevitable departure. Mental health is not a manipulation tactic to make people who genuinely care stick around. Gifts shouldn’t be used as a distraction to take the focus away from you being manipulative. Mental illness does not make you unaware. You still have to do the work and people still have the option to decide if they want to deal with it. It doesn’t make me a bad person for not wanting to deal with you. Especially, when I see that you’re not attempting to grow. Bye
