आज कुछ खामोशी है तेरे मेरे बीच,

जैसे खोई हुई कहानी हो, बिना सारे राज खोले।

इन समयीं की ठंडक में छुपी है बातें,

हर आहट में छुपा है कोई अनसुना सा सवाल।

सिर्फ नजरों से हो रही है बातें अब,

दिल की धड़कनों में है एक अजीब सी बेचैनी।

शब्दों के पर्दे में छुपा है एक राज,

आज कुछ खामोशी है, एक नए अध्याय की शुरुआत है।

बैठ मेरे पास कभी

तो बताऊँ तुझे

की कितना शोर है मेरी इन खामोशियों में

फिर भी बेजुबान हैं मेरी बातें

रुक ज़रा मेरी साँसों के करीब

तो दिखाऊँ तुझे

की कितनी तपिश बाकी है अभी इनमें

तेरा इंतज़ार कर रही हैं मेरी आँखें

इन हवाओं का नज़राना ले

उड़ चल मेरे साथ

आज ये मुमकिन है

किसको पता आज के बाद

आसमान की बुलंदियों को छूकर

सितारे कुछ और जल उठे

इस चाँद से भी उसका हाल पूछ आएंगे

बैठ मेरे पास कभी

तो सुनाऊँ तुझे

ये सारी खामोशियाँ

जो धड़कती हैं तेरे नाम से

इन पर अपना हाथ रख

अपना ले इन्हें भी ज़रा

जुड़ के तेरे नाम से
