This is a sideblog for posting my hobby stuff. I mostly paint warhammer miniatures—with a lot of that being Death Guard and Genestealet Cultists—but I've got a metric shitload of projects on my eternal backlog so there'll be variety aplenty.

my favorite thing about the moomins is that their domestic cottagecore aesthetic is basically just a cover for the fact that they’re actually like 2 degrees of separation from going full feral at any one time and literally everyone knows it

Been a little while since I've posted, oops. Here's a WIP Blightlord terminator to make up for it! The model comes from Lord Felthius and the Funky Bunch box, though I got this guy secondhand. Been a blast to paint, this guy's weird wormy mutations are fun as hell to paint

Here's a shitty picture of the helbrute I'm working on! It's not quite done, still gotta work on weathering and other details, but it's coming along well. In other news i'm working on a land raider, so that'll be fun

If GW ever makes a new helbrute kit I hope they either cut back on the chaos-y trim or at least make it a little bigger, good lord

Finished the Plaguecaster! This guy was a ton of fun, but good fucking LORD are there a lot of bugs. Flies aren't up to my standards but i'd like to paint more than one model this month

The closer I get to finishing this guy the worse i get at taking pictures, I swear. Either way I'm getting closer to finishing it! I've still gotta work on the small details and figure out how to make the fly wings look passable, but i'll burn that bridge when I get to it

Another day, another distraction. Today's WIP is Pustus the Vile, that unique plaguecaster model i've been trying to find for a half-decent price since last year! It's a bit rough at the moment (and my phone camera overly saturates yellows and oranges for some reason), but I'm making good progress

Ullik Rotbone, virulent lord of the Sevenfold Choir.
Had to call this guy done, otherwise I would've animorphed into the Joker trying to get every detail perfect. Overall happy enough with it, especially the meaty bits.

did some mental math, and i've got my list of death guard shit to paint or strip and re-paint;
2 Deathshrouds(5 if I strip the first squad, 10 termies in total if I strip the Blightlords too)
12 plague marines (more if I decide to strip them all)
Then there's a blighthauler and a lord of virulence to paint. Overall it doesn't look too bad, should take about two or three weeks if I pace myself properly

Finished the deathshroud champion! Now it's time to paint two more for that authentic minimum size unit experience

Deathshroud Terminator WIP

And i'm back to painting Death Guard again! I love these guys so much, they're a blast to paint as well as walking blenders on the tabletop! I've had them go toe-to-toe with so many big stompy bastards and win that they're a must-have for my lists. Knights, Riptides, other terminators, infantry swarms–they're all in danger when these bloated fucks waddle into melee range.
Here's hoping 10e does them justice!

Canoness Olgyra the Butcher
Finished my first and (probably) only Sororitas model! It was a hassle to paint so many itty bitty details on an already small mini, but it was absolutely worth the effort. Now it's time to swan dive into the warp and paint more plague marines

Back from my vacation, and I started obsessively painting a model for an army I don't play! It's a WIP, of course, and I'll probably post the finished mini in a few days.
This Canoness is based on a named character from a Sisters of Battle army I played last year in a crusade for the Tau discord. I lost literally every battle I played because I kept forgetting how to play the army, but it was fun regardless. The Canoness was given everything I could to make her obnoxiously hard to kill and a walking Turbo Blender in melee.
The Order of the Gnashing Maw were a Khornate cult of cannibals from a feral world that coincidentally worships the Emperor. They were led by the Canoness Olgyra the Butcher, who I imagine barbequed T'au and Genestealer corpses after every battle.

I return from the Sludge Dimension with another WIP. Ridgerunner's nearly done, figured I'd paint another wizard for a break
