2021 Year in Re(Over)view — Fagradalsfjall Eruption
Our 2021 Year in Re(Over)view continues today with the Fagradalsfjall volcanic eruption in Iceland. The event began March 19 and officially ended yesterday, December 20th, making it Iceland’s longest volcanic eruption in at least 50 years. Just 25 miles (40 kilometers) from Reykjavík and relatively easy to access, Fagradalsfjall’s eruption attracted upwards of 350,000 visitors.
