having read over one hundred and fifty 457 fics, my favs by far are:

- the truth of us by wheretheheckismyjello

- kill our way to heaven by deardiaryofmine

- love thy enemy series by Iludusyou (starts with “what’s the name of the game?” then “chasing the dragon” and finishing with “going for broke”. the last two parts are what solidified loving this one for me! but honestly probably my fav fic in fandom!!)

- to be young by dontbesillynow

if there’s any stories that are in the same vein (preferably in the squid game universe, i’m way way more difficult outside of it (alternate universe aus), please rec themm)

honestly i just want other stories that will make me feel what these did, but i can’t find any

i really like the lovesong of hwang in-ho by 457 and their first work as well. i don’t personally agree with some of the characterisations or the choices made and how they’d believably get together, but that’s just my opinion, and their writing is so good that i personally don’t really care and am able to suspend my disbelief <3

this one was extremely interesting and just so different to everything out there rn. of course it’s not accurate to the way someone like in-ho would stand trial, but honestly it didn’t matter in the slightest and the author very much states that. it was beyond captivating and while the last chapter felt a bit off kilter to the rest of the story, i was completely moved by this story, especially this version of him and his straight candour (at least when coming to his feelings ;) for gi-hun). and maybe even more so this version of gi-hun. i truly hope we see other 457 fics from them. desperately intrigued to how they got to some of the core of them, way beyond their some toxic old men mlm content fad

any 457 fics that are anywhere near as good as kill our way to heaven? gihun has to stay a really good person, that’s my only must. also i much prefer in the squid game universe fics

all i want is 457 canon or canon divergence fics with good, at least somewhat in character writing, where gi-hun keeps his humanity and in-ho isn’t too nice (at least not too quickly) but he’s also not a grapist psychopath 😭😭 the only ones ive really really loved so far are “kill our way to heaven” (i’ll do anything for that fic!), “one coin, two sides”, and “to be young”. does any have good recs? preferably no past sangwoo/gihun but at this point i’ll take anything
