We, (Najwa, Jana, Farah, and Maryam), are the sisters of Shaheed Khalid Saed Ash-Shawwah, who was martyred on 07/31/24 along with Al Jazeera correspondent Ismail Al-Ghoul and his colleague, photographer Rami Al-Rifi . Khalid was our older and only brother and he was a great support for us and others. As you may heard Khalid’s story in the news, he was bombed while he was riding his bicycle coming back from delivering food to our old and injured neighbors.

Before the IDF forces killed our brother Khalid, they forced us to evacuate our house and left everything behind. They then destroyed our house and our father’s restaurant. We had to move at least 10 times since every new area we seek refuge to gets bombed.

Currently, the 4 of us and our parents, are living devastating and sad life in a bombed room in Gaza. It is extremely difficult for us to get the basic needs of food, water, and shelter.

We sincerely hope you can empathize with our dire situation and consider supporting us. We are raising funds in order to be able to pay the rising cost of basic necessities in north Gaza. Our family is large and the cost of survival in north Gaza is astronomical. If you have anything you can spare, we implore you to support us. new and expecting mothers face some of the worst circumstances in Gaza ever since the begin of the genocide in October

not only are there no proper functioning hospitals left, there is also no anesthesia. even after giving birth, new parents face food, formula and diaper shortages, to name a few.

recently, my friend Alaa @alaajshaat found out that she is expecting a child! what normally would be a cause for celebration and a blessing for this young family, is a nightmare under these circumstances.

She's a 4th (out of 5) year pharmaceutical student currently studying abroad in Egypt after her school in Gaza was destroyed. Pharmacy school is difficult but she has a high average.

She needs to complete her goal of $20,000 CAD by her deadline for university registration, which is Sep 18 in Egypt's timezone. To be safe, I've set this at 12am. As of posting this, she has just under 281 hours (12 days) to reach her goal.

However, not everyone is so lucky. Hello! I'm making another post about my friends Rajaa (@rajaagaza) and Khaled (@khaled-gaza). Rajaa and Khaled have been married for three years, and they have a beautiful 18 month old son named Karam. They are currently stuck in Gaza living in truly horrifying conditions, and they desperately need to evacuate to Egypt when the border opens again, which we know could be very soon.

Karam is extremely malnourished and constantly terrified. The suffering and challenges Rajaa, Khaled and Karam experience daily would be enough to make anyone want to give up, but they are holding onto hope that they can raise the funds they need to evacuate and build a new life for themselves.

So far, Rajaa and Khaled have managed to raise $12,413 CAD. They have a short-term goal of $16,000 CAD, which they believe should be enough to secure their evacuations. This is so achievable! They're only $3,587 CAD away!

However, momentum has slowed down for Rajaa and Khaled's campaign to a truly worrying degree. They are so close to reaching their goal, and they need us to stand by them to ensure their survival and preserve their hope.
