Witchy Self Care 💕
As witches, we tend to do spellwork that can be potentially draining. It’s important that we take care of ourselves after magic that is long and hard on our minds and bodies.
Self care isn’t just for after hard spellwork either, its a great way to incorporate some simple undercover magic into your daily routine!
Remember, self care is for everyone, this list is not specific to one type of person! ⚘
Hair - ✂️
• Deep condition your hair and work in some enchantments as you work it into your hair!
• Hair masks - Use the properties of the ingredients in your masks to your advantage!
• Enchant your hair products - Enhance the products purpose to work better for you
Skin - 🍑
• Draw sigils or important symbols while exfoliating, and activate it by rubbing it in and washing it off
• Use specific toners like rose water for a glamour, for its properties, or to represent a certain deity.
• Glamours - While washing your face, use the mirror and products to create a glamour
• Just enchant everything, deoderant, face wash, soap, whatever!
Nails - 💅🏾
• Paint sigils on your nails with clear polish then cover with a regular coat
• Paint colors and symbols to represent your deity or what you would like to feel for the day (green for lucky - that sort of thing)
• Enchant (are you surprised) nail files and remover!
Clothes - 👗
• Use specific laundry detergent scents for spells and glamours
• Wear colors to correspond with feelings or deities. (Light flowy pinks for Aphrodite, strong blues for Poseidon, etc)
• Be comfortable! Enchant clothes for comfort, or whatever purpose you’re looking for
Room - 🏡
• Play music that sets a good mood for the room
• Use certain colored candles and scents to also give the room a certain vibe (pink roses for sense of love in the room)
• Cleansing spells while tidying up!
• Spells to keep the room clean
• Decorations to remind you of the sea or deities, something to look at that will calm you
Misc - 🍃
• Bathe, scrub, cleanse
• Meditate
• Journal
• Breathe
• Yoga and stretch
• Take a good nap
This just a small list of how to incorporate some witchy elements into a daily routine, (even if half of them are all enchanting), and after care for recovering from intense spells. Please feel free to add on!

How do Witches Celebrate Birthdays?
My 30th birthday in January will also be my first birthday as a witch. Usually I throw a big birthday party, but this year I have been a bit of a hermit and focusing on me and my husband’s health. So I kind of want to make my 30th something personal yet special.
Some of my ideas to do on my Birthday (as a City Witch)
Have a session with a Psychic to talk about my upcoming year
Have a session with a Medium to connect with my friends and family who’ve died
Get a witch themed tattoo (I have a few ideas)
Get my Natal Chart read by a professional
Commission a portrait of my witchy self
Perform a good luck spell for the year
Make an herb bread with all the herbs and spices that would correlate to your intentions for the year. Share with the loved ones you wish to be with you throughout your year.
Candle magick, make up an ultimate birthday wish candle spell that is activated when you blow it out.
If you have deities, invite them to have a little birthday party with you. Have offerings for them to thank them for your year and to tell them your goals for the new year.
Recieve an aura cleanse through smoke, crystals, incense, or Reiki
