tonight's the oscars, so here's a topical article from folha de são paulo and a little vocab list :) trying to expand my vocab actively each day, so expect more vocab lists in the future!

one of my favorite ways to study is by copying down the short stories in the back of the genki textbook for writing practice, and translating it as i go~

28 jan 2024 - time to make new anki cards from this week's readings. my portuguese is going to get a LOT better this semester from all of the things i'll have to read, but if anyone has some recs of lighter things to read, let me know! i really like contemporary fiction but am swamped with classic works right now

learning japanese update: i’ve been practicing writing down sentences and trying to understand the sentence structure. linguistically, japanese and turkish have similarities, so i can say that it’s been going well and i’m having sooo much fun!!

03.04.2024 — Final exam is scheduled for next Wednesday, so I’ll be studying when I can until then. Today I spent some time just looking through my notes and doing a textbook exercise from last week’s chapter. That’s it for today!

starting this gloomy day off with some japanese! i just found this app called renshuu and im loving it already!! i’m still new at japanese and all the study resources available but i can already tell it’s an amazing app and i highly recommend!!
