i’m writing a series of journal entries by the people who developed aegis, it’s very interesting 2 think about.  many thoughts, head full.

smthn about androids/robots/ai learning to become human just fucking makes me go feral......

thinking about someone calling him ‘aegis’ when he tells them thats his ‘name’ and it rlly gives it meaning and hes lowkey freaking out bc it’s never meant anything before.....

i’m not saying i might make it canon that gigas hid override commands in aegis’ code, but i AM saying there’s things in his system that he’s restricted from accessing

➸✮ Surprise flickered across his face, blinking. After all, that was… that was new. Of course he wasn’t aware of the very… life-like androids slash cyborgs that Gigas could make- so he wouldn’t know that they once belonged to them. A small frown made its way onto his lips as he tilted his head, leaning forward a bit to examine it before wincing as he leaned back.

“Yikes! That… is a bit of a doozy there isn’t it? I think I might know a place. Although it’s… sort of the more dodger side of town.”

‘ it doesn’t.....hurt.  i-i don’t feel pain like people do. ’ 

that’s not a lie  ,  AEGIS  wasn’t built with the ability to feel pain  ,  it would’ve inconvenienced him.  still  ,  he offers a weak smile  &  a nod.  luckily  ,  it didn’t seem this guy knew where he came from  ,  which was good.  it’d be easier to get away with his  lies  with that piece of information. 

‘ i-i’m not....human, but i guess that much is obvious.  i’d be grateful for the help, though. ’

➸✮ The young man blinked, turning in surprise as the other approached him. He stepped back, almost as if he was on edge about something; but they quickly put on a smile as they gave a two finger salute.

“Huh? Oh hey there~ and parts? …Depends what kind of parts you’re looking for.”

There was something… off about the other. But that may have been due to their magic, he could feel it flickering and sparking under his skin but he snuffed it out for the time being. After all magic wasn’t exactly easily detectable by scanners as it wasn’t programmed to pick it up… except for at Giga Corps.

THREAT LEVEL UPGRADED  -  SLIGHT

the few  working  scanners in his other eye can  sense  it  ,  the magic.  he doesn’t say anything for now  ,  it’s not his  job  nor is it his place to do so.  the android  shifts  uncomfortably when asked about parts  ,  unsure of whether or not to let his  secret  slip so soon.  then again.....he could always  lie  .  there was a high probability of getting this man on his side if he did so.  slowly  ,  mimicking a  human’s  reluctance  ,  AEGIS  lets his hand fall  ,  revealing his missing eye 

‘ ....these kinds of parts.  i-i’m missing my eye. ’ 

a brief pause  ,  his hand comes back up to cover the gaping hole. 

‘ or at least something to cover it with. ’

He looked at them like they were his entire world.       But when he looked back, he looked away almost ashamed.             For how could he stand by his side when all he did was radiate light?                  That didn’t matter to the mage.                          All that matters was if his knight was by his side.

ERROR  -  OPTICAL DAMAGE.  REPLACEMENT NEEDED.

he  knows  one of his eyes is damaged  ,  there’s nothing AEGIS can do about it now.  shaking his head  ,  the android looks around with his  one  functioning eye  ,  fixing on a splash of red hair.  maybe he can help.  AEGIS stumbles to his feet  ,  one hand covering his damaged eye before he speaks  ,  scanning him.

THREAT LEVEL  --  NEUTRAL.

‘ excuse me, do you.....know where i can find any parts ?? ’

i just think it’d be really neat if u liked this for a first meeting starter.....

i just think that maybe meeting and befriending people helps aegis foster his own humanity and i think that’s Neat !

thinking abt the first time aegis met magia and yozora.  dunno how that would go but im thinking about it

anyways uhhh.....aegis’ name is also an acronym of his system, it’s not his name in the human sense, but i’m not smart enough 2 know what it stands for.  he’s an advanced AI in a human-like body, a supercomputer if you will.

i am not immune to the "character's eyes glow when they use their powers" trope
