I think if Jyn and Cassian had survived (which they DID! Gareth Edwards told me so himself) that they would have become parents one way or another.

Maybe they would have children of their own, but I like the idea of them adopting war-orphans. And that they would see each other in their children’s eyes.

Day 5 (June 20): how they celebrate on Endor 🎆

My entry for the #rcfixitweek

I wanted them to cry some happy tears because it's finally over. Imagining they would hug and cry during the celebrations on Endor.

I discovered this way too late but here is my entry for day 5. This was so much fun and I'm really happy with the result.

“Right, so… tomorrow, Corporal Shifra needs another X-ray of his leg.” Lonan said, “It’s been one week since the last one, and Dr. Anjda wants to check if the bone is healing properly; otherwise, he’ll need surgery. Please –please– don’t forget it. I fought hard to get that X-ray approved.”

“Don’t worry, Lonan. I won’t forget it.” Tillie assured him, tapping the remainder into her datapad.

Lonan shot her a skeptical look before he relented with a sigh. “Alright… And your last patient, in room B29, is Sergeant Erso.”

Tillie’s fingers froze mid-typing.

Erso? I know that name.

“Patient is human, female, mid-twenties, no allergies, and no prior medical history of note. She’s an actual survivor from Scarif, can you believe that? She’s practically a hero.”

Tillie mentally chided herself. Scarif, of course .

lmao, man, how did you "undo" it? Did you make 5000+ fics unwrite themselves? Or do you think that the people who have shipped them for 9 years will suddenly stop? Does this man realize that people ship them in a hypothetical scenario where they survive and thus canon is meaningless? Or that we can happily ignore a bullshit prequel not written by the canon's original creator if we please?

Just yesterday we got 10 new fics plus 4 chapter updates.

So, the very first rebelcaptain fanfiction was created on June 25th, 2016, a few months BEFORE the movie was even out

A year later, the rebelcaptain tag in AO3 had exactly 1,600 works, that’s without counting the deleted works from the past few years.

I think it says a lot.
