Idk if I just need to touch grass but holy shit I am so sad about how ragingly misogynistic today’s men are, at least online. I’ve never been under the impression that misogyny was a thing of the past but I think I was too charitable to men. I assumed that most men saw women as more or less their equal but acted in casually sexist ways as a byproduct of our culture and downplayed sexism, rape culture out of ignorance not malice. But if how they talk online is any indication, a large percentage of men truly do not see women as people. Scary and depressing.

So fucking tired of trans backstories. 99% of transwomen’s (men’s) stories and 99% of transmen’s (women’s) stories are the exact same.
MtF (male): Sometimes in my early life I actually didn’t feel like a braindead muscle man and then later on I REALLY started emphasising with girls in porn. I got SUPER deep into forced feminisation probably bc it was the ONLY thing that allowed me to be a sexy girl (and got my d*ck hard) and then I was like what if I could be a hot girl with big mommy milkers irl???
FtM (female): Sometimes in my early life I WASN’T constantly only thinking about dresses and gossip and the colour pink. Also I got kinda uncomfortable thinking about my body compared to what society determines attractive women’s bodies should look like, and my ultimate life goal isn’t to be barefoot and pregnant. Then I was like, what if I could be treated like an actual HUMAN, not just a “girl,” irl???
That’s literally fucking it. And somehow they still don’t realise how ridiculous they are. My year-long stint of identifying as a “transman” fits perfectly into the second category, and it honestly just makes me cringe recalling it.

Very curious about the amount of hostility I see towards doctors and health care providers from trans ppl online. To me, my doctors and my SRS surgeon are saints and I am incredibly grateful for the work they did for me. If you’re mad at them and see them as your enemy, maybe you should reconsider whether medical transition is actually for you.

if "woman" did not mean "adult human female", "trans woman" would not mean anything.
if "lesbian" did not mean "homosexual human female", " "trans lesbian"(and for that matter "bi lesbian" etc)would not mean anything.
"trans woman" "trans lesbian" etc are derivatives.
they are totally linguistically dependant on the words from which they derive their meanings in order for language to be functional.
attempting to change the meaning of the original words to somehow include the derivatives means now you can't talk about the derivative or the original, and language folds into a nonsensical clusterfuck.
this argument is meaningless and we've all been duped.

Porn is inherently harmful lmao, how could you possibly think we could even regulate the harms away? Even if we COULD buy consent. Which you can’t. At least in prostitution (which I still oppose) there is a mostly a guarantee that each session is over when it’s over. But with porn, 1. How can you verify the person you’re watching hasn’t since regretted the taking of the video? Even if they were fine with it at first, how can you know they haven’t since been trying to get the video down? They CAN’T get it down.
2. How can you tell it wasn’t stolen from an OnlyFans or a similar subscription? How can you get consent if it’s stolen?
3. How do you know they weren’t trafficked? How do you know? You don’t know. You can’t know.

I can’t believe there are people who have been exposed to the Internet from a young age and have been groomed to think that healthy exploring of sexuality in adolescents involves interactions with kink communities online and thinking of violent sexual fantasies at 13. I can’t believe pornography is considered so normal that people can’t see criticism of it without thinking it’s a criticism of sex itself. There are young people who truly believe porn has basically always existed. This isn’t normal. It’s not normal to be seeing BDSM online at 14 and to be hearing porn jokes from your classmates. How did this even happen so fast.

you ever think about how men who enter female dominated spaces (male beauty youtubers) are adored and celebrated and welcomed and women who enter male dominated spaces (gaming, sports) are often verbally abused to the point of quitting the activity all together

Very scary that people on tumblr are taking medical advice from unintelligent unqualified unhappy unhealthy freaks. And they trust that advice more than they trust doctors. Ethical evidenced based medicine is somehow gatekeeping to these people.
