My family is going through a hard time, I will pay my education with my savings, but my accommodation doesn't include lunch, and eating in London is expensive. I'm searching for a job, in the mean time, I have no income.
If you want to help me get lunch during my education abroad, you can help me by buying a commission.
I know some people can't donate, some people think 2€ is too much, I have a discount code "HELPANARTIST" with 25% discount.

(TW for everything)
*in lestat’s voice*
so, let’s talk about our gorgeous murder gremlin armand. in the books, he canonically:
- burned his own paris coven alive after lestat destroyed their centuries old belief (TVL)
- let louis kiII his second paris coven (IWTV)
- tortured nicki with his coven while he was still human, because he was angry at lestat (TVL part 4, ch 2)
- tortured lestat to force him to say claudia’s name as the guilty vampire (TVL, epilogue, ch 1)
- mentally manipulated and vampirically raped lestat (TVL, part 5, ch 1)
- threw lestat off a tower when he came to him to beg for help (TVL, epilogue, ch 1)
- told louis that lestat was dead and didn’t tell the truth for decades (IWTV, part 4)
- told lestat that louis was dead and didn’t tell him the truth for decades again (IWTV-TVL)
- mentally manipulated louis to make him turn madeleine into a vampire (IWTV, part 3)
- telepathically kept telling claudia to die/kill herself/leave louis to himself (IWTV, part 3)
- tortured daniel for days (QOTD, part 1, ch 4)
- drew daniel to absolute insanity for a decade (QOTD, part 1, ch 4)
- locked nicki up and cut off his hands so that he couldn’t play his violin like crazy anymore (TVL, part 6, ch 3)
- scalped his human victim because he was curious (TVA, part 1)
and so on. and you’re mad that they— *checks notes* ruined his character on the show by making him the villain? am i correct? he is literally one of the most iconic villains in literature. also, shouldn’t we be glad that they didn’t show him actually torturing claudia by cutting her head off and stitching it on a woman’s body before the trial? while she was still alive? (TVA part 2)
why do you need him to be a saint to be able to love him? he should be a lovable character to the viewers despite and because of the stuff he has done, no? are you sure you're built to consume gothic fiction?
Tumblr media
"what about the things lestat did?" i literally made a list of lestat's crimes and never shut up about it and you're yet again proving my point. this is not an attack on armand. he's my favorite right after lestat. i wrote fact threads on twitter for both of them. i know my material.

My prayers are still just "O [deity name + translated epithets], i'm gonna pray for you...ok, so, you're pretty, i love you, thank you for being there, i think you did that or at least it's cool that you maybe did that, thank you. Khaire [deity name]." And I feel good each time because I struggle with prayers.

🌿Leucippus of Crete 🌿
Antoninus Liberalis wrote in 'Metamorphoses' that Leucippus was born a girl but given a masculine name and raised as a boy in order to prevent his father from killing him. Once he got older, his mother, Galatea, prayed to the goddess Leto to make him biologically male.
Phaestus, the city Leuccipus was born, afterwards held a ceremony called Ecdysia in honor of Leto as a rite of passage for young boys. As a part of the ritual, they would wear a feminine peplos, the removal of which echoed Leucippus removing his own. . Something different than my usual work! Wanted to explore some interesting queer mythology. The plant at his feet is dittany of Crete

I need everyone to read how Socrates described the etymology of Hades’ name. This is, in my opinion, one of the most beautiful descriptions of the God in antiquity

I think I worship them but they want our relationship to be friendlier and closer.
They just scream at me "Dude BE CASUAL, BE CAREFREE" and I proceed to act as calm as I can while completely stressed about if I'm being carefree enough.
Thought I think Persephone is ok with us being a bit more formal, I think she might like that, and Hades is quite silent, I guess he tolerates me.
Fellow Hellenic polytheists, how would you describe your relationship/feelings toward your deity/deities.
Purely a god/worshiper dynamic? Parental? Sibling like? Mentor/student? Romantic? Queer platonic? Friends? Boss/employee? Purely just fascination?
I honestly have no idea how I’d describe mine, it’s partly fascination and devotion, partly autism brain needing to consume everything about him and maybe a little crush but oh my gods he’s a DEITY Astro control your fucking self.
I can describe it in a picture though

i love you, king zeus.
i love you, lady hestia.
i love you, lord apollo.
i love you, lady athena.
i love you, lady aphrodite.
i love you, lord poseidon.
i love you, lord hermes.
i love you, gods that i don’t actively worship.
i’ve been slacking on my devotion lately but i’ll always love the gods and they’ll always understand. they know that as long as i’m alive, i am living for them.

7 Virtues of Hellenism.
Xenia - This is the pillar that signifies hospitality, generosity and reciprocity. It's typically demonstrated in a guest/host dynamic.
Kharis - This is the pillar that signifies appreciation and gratitude. It entails giving to the gods and and expressing gratitude when you receive something from them.
Eusebia - This is the pillar that signifies reverence and veneration towards the gods. It can be translated to 'piety' or 'reverant conduct' meaning that you show respect for them.
Hagneia - This is the pillar that signifies purifying yourself. It entails having moral, perhaps physical too, purity and avoiding miasma where possible.
Arete - This is the pillar that signifies excellence and brilliance. It entails trying to reach your highest potential and this can be in any field.
Sophia - This is the pillar that signifies the pursuit of knowledge and wisdom.
Sophrosyne - This is the pillar that signifies self-control and prudence. It involves being of sound mind and remaining balanced, which can further lead to other positive qualities to have.
I hope these are right and that I didn't misunderstand their meanings! Hopefully this is useful to anyone, I certainly enjoyed making the post!
