At the irony of those words, Genji barked out a laugh. McCree and the cyborg were sitting in the break room at the watchpoint, enjoying each other’s company. It was late into the night, half the team asleep and the other half trying not to, when Genji decided to meddle with his brother’s long standing crush.

“Yer brother likes me?”

Genji nodded, tapping the table. “Oh, yes, definitely. I have never seen him throw himself so desperately at someone until now, but perhaps the years that divided us have changed him. Or, he is lonely and has a cowboy fetish.”

“Huh,” McCree said trying to recall every moment he spent with the man. None of it seemed more than a simple bro to bro relationship. They hung out a lot, sure- they trained together, watched movies together, sometimes they drank and divulged secrets and pains to each other then comforted one another. But that’s what friends do, right? Friends help each other out. Even if it’s-

“He said you sucked his dick.”

McCree frowned. “He needed it. Guy’s too stressed out for his own good.”

“You…had no intentions with this?” Genji asked, tilting his head.

“Well sure I did,” McCree answered, settling back in his chair. “Friends help each other. Just wanted to make him feel better.”

Genji made a robotic sigh. “Sucking a person’s dick is not a friendly gesture, McCree.”

McCree hummed. “Well…”

Later that evening, Genji stopped by Hanzo’s room to try to convince him to let his feelings for McCree go, or at the very least, kick his ass. When Hanzo opened the door, he let out a sigh.

“I already know you spoke with Jesse.”

“Yes,” Genji said. “And he is a dumbass. You must let go of him brother.”

“Let go of him? But he is the greatest friend I have in this place.”

Hanzo frowned. “You mean as in gay? Please brother, we are both heterosexual men.”

Genji’s arm twitched. “You are serious.”

“Yes, I am,” Hanzo said firmly. He crossed his arms. “Now, would you happen to know where I can acquire condoms? Jesse has been feeling stressed lately and I- Genji, where are you going? Genji!”
