Dude escaped to Juarez I’m sure
Living in El Paso, Texas, 13-year-old Janet Bonilla was outgoing and full-of-life, friends and family of hers would say. On November 25, 1977, Janet was asked by her neighbors to babysit her children, between the ages 3-7, as they would be away for the night. She enthusiastically agreed to the offer, as this would have been a great opportunity to save up money for Christmas presents. What no one else knew was that this would be the last time that loved ones would see the teen girl alive. The following morning, Janet’s father entered the home where she was babysitting the children, only to stumble upon a devastating scene that changed his life forever: his daughter’s body on the floor, strangled. Although he tried to perform CPR in an attempt to revive her, attempts were fruitless. Detectives believed that whoever had killed Janet broke into a bedroom window earlier that morning. With the children being so young, they couldn’t offer much help in the investigation. Although detectives latched onto many suspects, they were eventually ruled out. Four decades later, and the Bonilla family continue to search for clues as to who killed the teen, and why.
