It’s taken 8 years for me to finally draw James and Dimi together :o. I did have picture ideas, but it was one of those things that never evolved from rough sketches.

I picture this as the scene right after Dad is freed from the Vault 112 simulation. It’s bittersweet; Dimi’s relieved to finally find him and they’re happy to see each other, etc. After a hug, James notices the scars, and on Dimi’s part, there’s anger that he left her behind in the Vault, and all the BS that happens getting your LW out of there. She pushes his hands away and succumbs to emotional overload. But James has dealt with his temperamental child for 19 years, so he knows how to deal with her.

I picture them taking a moment to sit and talk before journeying back to Rivet City :,)

Just had an interaction with some old women in retail and wanna scream ngl. She asked me for help finding an item (the usual), and when i showed her where, noticed the fact i scratched. Context: I have crippling eczema and dermotollomania. She goes into entire rant about how I need to stop (which valid) but just kinda goes off into guilt trippy shit of “do you want to get staph and get that contaminated to your loved ones and kill them??” Am I biased because of her response later too? Yeah. Because she starts badgering me about if I’ve seen a doctor. And im trying to laugh this off and take it as cool convo, so just tell her yknow, hey, no. Not right now. Cuz yknow i never had the insurance for it until recently. But now my issue is just transportation. Most possible appointments are an hour away and I don’t have car. So I say this lightheartedly to her. Like y’know “Not yet. I plan to, just having issues with transportation” AND I SWEAR TO FUCKING GOD. THIS WOMAN GIVES ME THIS STARE AND THEN GOES WITH THE MOST PASSIVE AGGRESSIVE TONE “uh huh.. good luck with that” As if shes calling me a liar or looking down on me or some shi. LIKE, OH, IM SOOOORRRRY KAREN. SORRY EVERYONES NOT PRIVILEGED ENOUGH TO HAVE MONEY TO USE WHEN NEEDED FOR CARS OR HIGH DOCTOR EXPENSES. GOD.
