awe, you kind of missed out this year. i thought there were soo many great, memorable performances and i had a blast watching both semi-finals and the final. i couldn't make it to basel, i had to head home to new york for something but i was there in spirit. hopefully next year i can go again. omg yes, i'd love to go with you. as soon as they announce which city in austria is hosting, we're totally making plans for this. what is your favorite eurovision song of all time?

I enjoy eurovision, but I'll admit I didn't follow this year as I meant to so now I'm lost and gonna have to look at some highlights of what all happened. Did you end up getting those tickets and seeing the grande finale? Yes it is and maybe next time we can enjoy our gay olympics and superbowl together.

hah, i've never heard anyone describe eurovision like that but i can totally see it. it's genuinely got everything and if you're a fan of camp and whimsy, it's the place to be. you have to go see it live one year. you give me permission to bother you with eurovision videos and i'm gonna be sending them over until you're utterly sick of them and me tbh.

This sounds like March Madness meets a Vegas show, and I kinda love that Europe goes all out for it. Camp, drama, wild performances… I respect the commitment. Sorry your favorites didn’t win but now I’m curious who they were. Drop the link, I gotta see what the hype’s about!

right? it's definitely an amalgamation of those two. week of camp and excess and music and i love it so much. there's nothing like that. i had no idea you're half english and that's amazing. it makes me sad most americans really don't know eurovision even exists. your mom is the mvp for introducing you to it. have you ever gotten to go watch it live? serving was iconic, and i'm still mad that the EBU made her change the lyrics. serving kant would've gone so hard tbh.

The fact that you referred to Eurovision as the gay Olympics and the Super Bowl just unlocked a new level of accurate. I’m technically an American girly, but I’m also half British, my mom and her whole side of the family are from England, so despite growing up in Illinois, Eurovision was A THING in our house. I didn’t get to catch the whole thing this year (work life has been consuming my soul), but from the snippets I’ve seen… the UK, bless them, had a ride. A rough one. As per tradition. That said, I have seen clips from Serving and Ich Komme, and I agree! They were incredible.

the way that film is way more accurate than anyone knows. it was pure fun and captured the spirit of eurovision so well. i grew up watching the contest, so winning was amazing and i'll forever have a soft spot for it. one week where everyone can be as extra, loud, camp and gay as possible? the best timeline. omg, i love that you know some of the songs from this year. i know tommy cash and espresso macchiato was so fun. it's impossible to get it out of your head. but erika? my queen. she was robbed, ich komme was the moment. i didn't end up getting to go to the final but i was grooving along at home. i'll try to make it next year tho. austria is beautiful and knows how to throw a party!!

I gotta admit all my "eurovision" knowledge solely came from film and i think since then i definitely went down a rabbit hole one night after to really admire the level of pure camp. And lady i tell no lie when i say your win was perhap's a huuuge favourite, just had to add that in there. All that being said i did get curious and got most of my euro updates via the gram and that espresso macchiato song has been on an loop in noggin !! but ich komme ? oh she ate, as the kids say. i actually admire the work ethic and that's why you're so successful. you're just making the rest of us look bad, btw. i've only worked a handful of days this year and i'm starting to feel like an underachiever. he's so famous that getting any kind of privacy is tough but i'm hoping the cameras aren't bothering you too badly. private: i'm not pregnant yet, so maybe the baby clothes can wait a little bit? that's the superstitious part of me tbh. i don't want to start buying things until it's 100% confirmed. however, i love how excited you are for us and our future baby will be so lucky to have auntie kelsea in their life.

eurovision was always a huge deal in my house. my mom was danish and it's basically religion there. we watched every year so to be on that stage and win was so special. i ended up not being able to go but i did watch the grand finale and still got the feels. the pomp and circumstance is unreal. did you end up watching? if you did, who were your favorites? both of my faves were pop acts but with lots of bad bitch energy thrown in. forever mad that they censored the Maltese song, smdh. serving kant would've been iconic.

honestly, eurovision is the best week of the year. especially if you're european and love everything camp. it's a song contest that takes place every year and most of europe takes part. everyone sends an original song and the best wins. this year tho, my queens were robbed and austria nabbed the win. boo.

it's eurovision week and i gotta say, this has been the first year since we won that i've checked back in with the scene and damn, i kind of miss the energy in that arena. being in europe now for work, it's literally the only thing anyone wants to talk to me about and ugh, the temptation to try getting tickets to see the grande finale is real. is anyone else looking forward to watching? or you part of the camp that doesn't care or know anything about it? for us europeans, it's our gay olympics and superbowl combined tbh. if you're watching, who are you rooting for this year? i'm team serving kant. or ich komme. 😏 / @hfrpstarters

i've still yet to see the film but the consensus seems to be that you nailed the role and that's something you should be really proud of. you've been in the industry for so long that getting all of this love now must feel really special. what's next for you?

Yes and I'm happy it's getting so many good things people are saying about it. I was so out of my comfort zone with the role I had, but since everybody is saying how good I was in it makes me happy. Shay Mitchell went to see it and she tagged me in an Instagram story about how good it was. I've seen a whole lot of other celebrities post about how good it was as well. I posted about it and my fans went crazy for new music.

true, but even as safe conversation starters go, weather is still the least acceptable tbh. food, the booze you're having or fashion are way better options for random convo. dogs too, since who really doesn't wanna talk about puppies? it's like the universal thing everyone likes. you're a really lucky lady.

Usually comes to the reasoning when people get bored with the situation so they think up the easiest conversation topic to end the conversation so you can bow out gracefully. I'd rather talk about food, yes, or puppies. My parents are awesome, no better way to grow up than with Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell as your parents.
