This Swedish ammunition belt is ancient. Can’t quite remember the exact date but it’s about a century old.

Physical mock up of the zine
Made up an actual mock up on the zine and how I’d fold the pages so I can see where everything needs to go and when I fold it out I can see how the pages it so I can put every in it’s right order in MediBang once I’m finished.

Mock up no. 3
We’ll see if I’ll be able to add this much detail on the pages but I wanted to play around with title placement mostly

The final pictures I will use in my zine

These are the photos I’m gonna use for my zine even tho there were loads to choose from I liked the zoom in into the detailed accessories. I don’t have much space on the page so I only chose two photos but I would’ve loved to add more. I’ve turned the pictures in black and white so they’ll translate through the riso printer correctly. Hopefully these will turn out blue and white on paper.

My amazing friend Prim has written an article on how to curate your wardrobe and find your style! I honestly think her article has some amazing points about sustainable fashion and being smarter with the clothes you own so I wanted to share.

BRO I MESSED UP
My first plan was to just fold the A3 paper in half so I’d have 4 sides of content and the poster as the front and back cover, somehow curating it to look aesthetically pleasing when you open it up. This was cool because I liked the idea of having basic two posters that you could chose between depending on whether you liked the front or the back. Although this could’ve been a fun idea, I spoke to my teacher and we agreed that I could do so much more with my zine if I had actually pages. So I set out to redesign my zine….
Talking to my teacher today I realised that the layout of my zine wouldn’t work with the module brief we have been given. As well as the zine, we have to make a poster to accompany it. The layout is supposed to have your zine on one side of the A3 paper and the poster on the other. That’s all doable of course it just depends on the way you fold the paper however, I thought that the poster could just be the front cover of the zine.. unfortunately not. I had planned to fold my paper in a way that pages 5,4,3 and 2 were made on one side and pages 1 and 6 on the other. I wanted to do this because it allowed for my pages to be a lot bigger, fitting in more information and design. BUT I CANT! The poster neeedddss to be on one side covering the whole A3 paper. Honestly I’m a little sad about this because I knew now that with the new folding techniques my pages would now be smaller and I’m gonna have to condense a lot of the information I wanted to add in. It’s ok tho never anything wrong with trying out new plans.
