the lok baintan floating farmers market is located outside banjarmasin, south borneo, indonesia. traders arrive early in the morning on their klotoks (traditional boats), spending the day selling and bartering freshly harvested fruits and vegetables as they float from one stop to the next along the current. photos by (click pic) fauzan maududdin and hary muhammad

lantern launch for loi krathong at the temple of wat chai mongkol in thaliand’s chiang mai, and nearby mae jo university. the festival is celebrated every year on the full moon of the twelfth month of the thai lunar calendar, which falls this year on november 6. it is believed these illuminated lanterns, or khom loy, send a person’s bad luck and misfortune away into the air.

Endurance

My goal for the next few days and months is to have the endurance to keep studying the best as I could and do well on the GRE test. Studying for this test takes a lot of time and effort and self motivation. Nobody is here to push me like how I was pushed in high school studying for the SATs. It is completely different. This is my choice and my decision for picking a field/grad program that requires this sort of workload. I’m not sure how well I am going to do, but all I know is that He will be here leading me through every step of the way. All glory belongs to Him.
