I have someone I want you to meet.  His name is Johnny G. and he partnered with VicteliB seven years ago.  He said he chose Boot Camp Challenge® because of the administrative system.  Johnny wanted his own fitness business but didn't want to be bogged down with the business side of things. How to Keep Your Customers Coming Back for More
I know we throw around the word RETENTION in our industry, but what does it really mean to YOU?
In simplest terms, it means more money in your pocket. Period!

And, I know you are thinking, "Lors, what does retention have to do with making six figures?" And you create a great team and your returning clients feel a part of something!
And now I know you are thinking, "Lors, how can I increase my retention by leading large groups?" Check out this short video, and I will share with you three strategies to keep your clients moving, coming back for more, and paying you money!

1,400+ Clients Annually
Meet Melissa G. from Upstate New York. She partnered with VicteliB eight years ago because she desired work/life balance. She was tired of leaving her house in the morning before her family woke up, coming home midday to no one at home, and leaving again for work and not arriving home until her boys were sound asleep. Why did she work these hours? Because she was a personal trainer who worked the split shift!
Would you like to meet my friend?  Click below to check out her video and learn how partnering with VicteliB brought her life balance.  (Spoiler alert! She is now home by 3:00 PM for the day, has several trainers working for her, and is servicing over 1,400 clients annually. Hoo-Aah!)
youtube
“Partnering with VicteliB has been, by far, the best business decision I have made in order to grow my training business.  I purchased the license back in 2006 and launched my first camp in January of 2007.  I launched with 10 family members/friends and did not make much profit on the first camp.  However, word spread like wild fire and the number of participants doubled for the next launch.  Within one year I had hired 5 trainers and was running 10 camps.  As I was growing, fitness boot camps were popping up all over.  Most have come and gone. However, Boot Camp Challenge® has been indestructible and is still by far the most reputable fitness boot camp in upstate, NY.
I was VicteliB’s first licensee and I have watched them grow and evolve over the years.  Each year, they provide their licensees with more support as we build our businesses. I am very impressed with the amount of support available to us on their website, through their sales team and through their media department.
I have certainly faced my challenges over the years and have worked very hard to build a successful Boot Camp Challenge® empire. However, with each challenge, there is always someone from the VicteliB team there to support me and to help figure out solutions to my challenges.
It has been 7 years since I have partnered with VicteliB.  I have consolidated my public camps down to 3-4 solid camps with 20-30 recruits in each one.  I have done this in order to continue evolving and growing with the latest wellness trends including the offering of corporate boot camps, Kids Kamp Challenge and Break Through Challenge, all through VicteliB.
Partnering with VicteliB has given me the opportunity to prosper in the fitness industry in a way that I would not have been able to do on my own. I am able to stay home with my children while bringing in significant income doing what I love to do!” – Melissa Grattan, New York

Why you Suck!
I know your first thought is, “Lors, I don’t suck at group training!"
And your second thought is, “Maybe I do suck. How would I know?”
You will know you suck because your numbers will decrease, not increase.
You will know you suck because you will have less than a 72% retention rate.
You will know you suck because you will not be able to pay your bills with your group training income.
If you just had a reality slap and realized you actually do suck, don’t worry, Boo! I got you!
Check out this short video, and I will share with you three strategies to keep your clients moving, coming back, and paying you money!

You’re welcome. Lori Patterson

It's Time for a Mind Shift
Have you ever had the dream to start your own fitness company?
What’s holding you back?
For a lot of us, what holds us back from our dreams is our mind.
We stand in our own way of accomplishing our dreams and seeing them come to fruition. We have thoughts that keep us in the same paradigm when all we want to do is get out and make change.
We think "I’m a trainer. I can’t possibly be an entrepreneur!" Or "What if I make the change, and I don’t make enough money?!"
Well it’s time for a mind shift!
In today’s episode of VicteliB TV, Lori shares the five paradigm shifts that took her from a trainer to an entrepreneur.
Those five shifts not only took Lori from trainer to entrepreneur, but now she has two companies and an app that has gone worldwide with over 2 million downloads.
If you have been holding yourself back from accomplishing your dreams, you won't want to miss the last tip. Lori shares how to go from trainer to entrepreneur, all while having a safety net.
We would love to hear from you!  Which paradigm shifts do you feel will be the easiest for you to make?
Or if you have already made the leap from trainer to entrepreneur and shifted your paradigm, what would you say was the hardest one for you?
Leave a comment below and help out a fellow trainer.
As always thank you for sharing with all of us and our online community!
Smiles,
Joanna

WHICH WOLF ARE YOU FEEDING?
How do some people obtain their dreams while others sit on the sideline watching their dreams pass them by?
The answer is a simple four letter word that is so powerful it can paralyze us.
It’s FEAR!
Fear can keep us in an unhappy job, situation, relationship and the list goes on.  Why? Because we are paralyzed by the power of our mind.
We think…
What if I take the leap and I fail?
What if I can’t pay my bills?
What if I lose my house?
What if I can’t put food on my table?
Well, I’ve been in this exact place.  I wouldn’t leave my career of 10 years because I was scared.  So I sat in misery because of fear, paralyzed by my mind.
Then, I thought…
What if I take the leap and I succeed?
What if I pay all my bills and have financial freedom?
What if I payoff my house?
What if I can feed my family, friends and neighbors?
I finally took the leap and am now living my dream.  Thanks VicteliB!
In today’s VicteliB TV, Lori shares some magic to overcome your fears.  What she shares is magical and if used, can change your life!
Check out today’s episode of VicteliB TV and learn how you can go from paralyzing fear to running a passion filled marathon call “YOUR DREAM”!
In the comments below, let us know what is holding you back from making the leap from trainer to entrepreneur.  Or if you already made the leap, what tools did you use to overcome your fears and obstacles?
Smiles,
Joanna

GET UNCOMFORTABLE AND GROW
VicteliB -Why did you choose the fitness industry?
Katie Carroll -I gained a ridiculous amount of weight with my first child. I joined a gym to have my 2 hours a day away from the baby and fell in love with group exercise. After a year or so of taking the same instructors class, she asked me to substitute teach for her while she was out of town. I did not think I could, but when I strapped that mic on, a side of me I had never met came out. I was hooked on teaching and motivating people to give their all!
VicteliB -Why did you choose to partner with VicteliB?
Katie Carroll -God totally led me to VicteliB. My husband had been pushing me to break ties with the fitness facility I was running boot camps and teaching group exercise for, mainly because I was receiving an hourly personal training rate regardless of how many people I had in my camps and classes. One day I was in the group exercise coordinators office, when I happened to see a brochure for Boston Mania Fitness Conference. I thumbed through and came to a screeching halt when I hit the page with Boot Camp Challenge(R). The words "turn key business solution" smacked me in the face. Was this what I needed to learn how to open my very own business?
VicteliB -Who if anyone was your inspiration to start your own business?
Katie Carroll -My husband kept saying, “Stop letting these people take your money,” over and over again. He saw how hard I worked and how much I put into my clients. He hated that the "big box" got 90% of the money. I kept saying "I don't know how to run a business", “Its too hard", "I am comfortable and happy doing what I am doing". He said, “Get uncomfortable and grow as a person". What a statement that was! It stayed in my mind constantly.
VicteliB -How long did you contemplate starting your own fitness business?
Katie Carroll -I think my husband was on me for about a year before I saw the Boston Mania flyer. As soon as I saw it, I called Lori and made the decision. God laid it in my lap and I had to trust.
VicteliB -And what was holding you back?
Katie Carroll -I didn't know how to open and operate a business. It was easy to let the "big box" do everything but teach for me. I was too comfortable and thought doing it on my own would be too hard. I was scared.
VicteliB -What made you turn your big fitness dreams into a profitable reality?
Katie Carroll -My husband believing in me, because I didn't believe in myself. And how cliche this is, because once I stopped being scared of failure and took a leap, the reality he saw all along happened. And that is what I see every time a camper doesn't believe in themselves!
VicteliB -What do you love most about owning your own fitness business?
Katie Carroll -WOW.....I love that I get to see people change their lives. They get off medications, they become more confident, they lose body fat, build healthy relationships with positive and motivating people, and they gain a family. And then they tell me it is all because of me, and that.....that is POWERFUL! It is what drives me each and everyday to better myself. So who is inspiring who?
VicteliB -What are some obstacles of owning your own business?
Katie Carroll -For me, organization and all the office and paperwork is the biggest hurdle. I get better each and every camp, but I would rather put my all into my camps and campers than have to worry about expense reports.
VicteliB -How do you overcome the obstacles?
Katie Carroll -I have some awesome people around me that help me out!
VicteliB -What makes you get out of bed the days you don’t want to?
Katie Carroll -When the alarm goes off and I am tired, I ALWAYS want to get up and be there for my campers. I LOVE them and I LOVE watching and helping them make GREAT changes!
VicteliB -What do you love best about VicteliB?
Katie Carroll -Just like the camps we create we are all a family! If I EVER need anything I know my VicteliB fam is right there!

It’s 5:30am. Darkness covers the sky and the moons glows like a dim night light. The streets are as deserted and quiet as a ghost town. Most people at this time are just waking up for work, but for Lori Patterson’s St. Peters boot camp and roughly 500 other camp locations across the U.S., it’s time for a nice, brutal work out.
Lori Patterson is CEO of Boot Camp Challenge, a nationally recognized fitness and wellness program for all fitness levels. The program is fun, effective, and provides a way to incorporate army style training into your everyday exercise routine. Patterson started the company 15 years ago and it hasn’t stopped growing since then. She sells her program to gyms across America. Lori creates routines each day for the camp and sends them out to participating gyms and trainers with which to follow along. Trainers can check in with a social media app called “Swarm” to let campers and anyone interested know when and where the camp is being held that day.
At 19 years of age, Lori joined the army as assistant to the command staff and was stationed in Germany. During the hard, cold winter months in Europe, the army was unable to go outside for their runs. The colonel knew Lori was into fitness, so he asked her to train 300 troops in aerobics. This experience sparked a passion inside of her. It taught her the fundamental values of integrity, respect, perseverance, diligence, and ingenuity that Boot Camp Challenge is built upon.
I meet Lori in the parking lot. She has a commanding presence, one to make you listen to anything she says. She’s wearing army pattern capris and a black jacket and tee with “Boot Camp Challenge” printed on them in bold letters. She’s lugging a duffel bag also with the logo on it. Dog tags hang from a chain on her neck. She holds open the door and I walk into the gym.  I’m hit with the pungent odor of sweat and feet upon entering. The bright, fluorescent light shocks my eyes after being in the darkness outside. The bars, beams, vault, and foam pit reveal that it doubles as a location for gymnasts. After sending her campers on a mile run outside, Patterson jogs inside and immediately begins setting up the gym for her class. She turns on some poppy music and begins scrawling today’s “missions”, or station routines, on the mirror lining of the walls. As the 16, out of breath campers return from their warm-up run, Lori divides them into groups called Alpha, Bravo, Echo, and Delta. She assigns three to four of them into each group.
Since this is modeled after army style training, I expect loud yelling and intimidation from Lori. Contradicting my preconceptions, she rotates around the groups, correcting form and shouting words of encouragement. She even stops once to resolve problems with a woman leaning on a mat, feeling queasy and faint. After Lori has a short, quiet talk with her, the woman is back on her feet, working out with her team.
The comfortable and chatty campers seem to enjoy one another. They act as a team and motivate team mates to push themselves, eliminating any negative, doubtful or competitive feelings. “Cool Kids” starts playing and Lori excitedly announces that this is her new favorite song. “I’m dedicating this to all my campers!”
After each rotation is completed by the groups, Lori switches the music to something slow and calming then calls everyone over to make a circle to cool down and stretch. “Let’s go around the circle and I want you tell me how you liked the work-out today. Rate it on a scale of one to ten,” Lori’s slightly gravelly voice instructs. There are solid tens all around. “I wish the missions were written on a piece of paper. They were hard to read on the mirror.” One of the campers gives some feedback and several heads bob in agreement.
Stretching is completed and the door closes on the last camper.  Lori is quickly on her feet putting up weights and cleaning up. Less than ten minutes later, we meet at the Starbucks down the highway near her dance work-out class that begins in a little over an hour. She orders her coffee and picks up breakfast, a Starbucks Protein Box, and chooses an overstuffed chair to sit down in, allowing herself to rest for probably the first and last time today.
“I love my job,” she states. “When I got involved in this industry, it was new. The fitness industry was just starting. The only jobs were group exercise. Personal training didn’t exist.” She leans forward and emphasizes each word with large gestures. “What makes our business different are our values and philosophy and culture. We create a culture of family with our partners. We share, we’re noncompetitive.”
Lori takes a drink of her coffee. She explains a career as a personal trainer doesn’t provide enough income to live off of. “They don’t make enough money. Not enough money for 401 or insurance. Rudimentary. I want trainers to make what their worth and for this to be a valuable and good career choice. It’s sad if you have this passion and can’t even put food on the table.”
Even though she doesn’t have a degree in physical fitness, Lori earned her degree in communication, which has helped her when she appears on Fox 2 news every Monday. “I do this to act as a platform to share vision with the world and vision of wellness. I get to share real truth with everyone. That’s why I starting selling it. To leave something to my kids. It gives my daughter a job.” Patterson’s oldest daughter, Victoria, works for her company. Lori squints her eyes as she thinks about Victoria. “She’s my biggest inspiration.”
“The toughest part of my job is staying open and attentive to my team as CEO. As a trainer, right now the hard part is creating work outs that stay in all sciences, deliver results, but that campers find fun. On the nutrition aspect, I have to battle Jennifer Anniston, movie stars, diets, and even doctors that tell patients to go do diets like Atkins,” she voices.  “The truth I give my campers is what they don’t want to hear. The truth is that you have to make a lifestyle change. Being the deliverer of truth is tough. You go against the media.”
Lori adds that when a member is having an issue, you must start by talking. Ask a powerful question and just listen. It all comes out and you’ll learn the real problem that’s blocking them. “Use powerful questions to find out what is the real motivator and overcome obstacles. Show them the way. I’m just a facilitator.  I help them find what is blocking them. I like to dive in and help them find new choices.”
Patterson is the type of person who honestly loves what they do. She has a passion to help people and guide them to not only a healthy body, but also a healthy mental lifestyle. “What the clients anticipate and expect is the physical change. What shocks them is the mental change, the change in self-confidence. It changes them.”
As her business continues to grow, more and more people are recognizing the difference in how things are run in Boot Camp Challenge. Honesty always stands out, just like the spunky CEO, Lori. Boot Camp Challenge is the type of company you can really dig into and come out feeling refreshed, unable to find any cheats, lies, or marketing scams.
She drives off to her class while I ponder her motivation to keep going every day. In just one short session with her, Lori has inspired me to challenge myself and go beyond my limits every day.

HOW I GOT MY PASSION BACK?
Tumblr media
VicteliB - Why did you choose to partner with VicteliB?
Jenifer - Before becoming a part of the VicteliB family, I was a Wellness Director for a fitness facility, and I found myself very unhappy in a field I had been passionate about my whole life.  I no longer felt I was actually helping people reach their wellness goals.  Instead, I was always trying to meet a financial bottom line or canceling a training session with a client in order to attend another 2 hour meeting.  I also found myself a new Mom with a 2 hour round trip commute to this job with my baby.
One day I was driving down the interstate on my normal commute home, and I found myself singing the ABC's to my little one through the rear view mirror.  All of a sudden I just thought to myself this was not the kind of Mom I wanted to be.
One of my former employees and BCC Zee, Katie Carroll, sat down with me one day over coffee to talk.  She seemed so happy with her new business.  I found myself wanting to join her and right there she encouraged me to check out Boot Camp Challenge® and put the idea in my head I could own my fitness business.  She made me believe I could do it.  After talking with my husband and the amazing people at VicteliB about Boot Camp Challenge®, we decided to take the leap.  The idea that I could do the business end from my home, facilitate the program to fit my family's life, and make good money was just too good to pass up.  It was a Godsend to me.
VicteliB - Why did you choose the fitness industry?
Jenifer - I have loved the fitness industry my entire life.  I used to watch Denise Austin and Gilad on TV when I was a kid and do the workouts with them.  Crazy I know for a kid!  Growing up I played sports, so being active was normal for me.  I chose fitness as a career after studying Physical Education in college and joining my local YMCA's fitness staff.  From there I became a CPT and worked my way through the ranks to finally become a Wellness Director, and then on to becoming a ZEE for Boot Camp Challenge®!
I choose to stay in the fitness industry because I have a true passion for motivating others to get fit and live fit.  Coming from a family where heart disease, high blood pressure, strokes, and diabetes have become the norm, I feel like I am on a mission to stop these in their tracks and help as many people as I can.  Everyone deserves to live their best life.
VicteliB - Who was your inspiration to start your own business? And why?
Jenifer - My now 4 year old daughter, Laken, was my inspiration to start my own business.  I can be a stay-at-home mom and I can also work in the field that I absolutely love.  I can be there for my daughter's milestones and still help others reach their wellness goals through a program that works.  I want to be a strong role model for my daughter and show her the importance of living your passion every day.
VicteliB - How long did you contemplate starting your own fitness business? And what was holding you back?
Jenifer - I have wanted to own my own fitness business since I was in my mid twenties but just didn't know how to make that happen from any angle.  I always thought it took a lot of money to get started, and I would have to have my own building. Lack of knowledge and fear held me back.  When I learned about Boot Camp Challenge®, all of a sudden it seemed possible.  Yes, there was still fear, but taking the leap has been so worth it and I haven't looked back.
VicteliB - What do you love most about owning your own fitness business?
Jenifer - There are so many things I LOVE about owning my own fitness business.  Setting my own schedule to fit the needs of my family has been huge for me. I can go on field trips with my daughter.  I can schedule dentist appointments when I want to and don't have to get permission from someone else to do that.  I can stay at home with my daughter when she's sick because my campers understand having a sick kid.  In my former job, we worked 45-50 hours a week.  I now work smarter, not harder.  Boot Camp Challenge® gives me the tools to make that happen.
I love having the opportunity to help people on a daily basis.  The people I've met and have watched transform through the program keep me going.  There is nothing like seeing people truly make lifestyle changes and start reaching their goals.  I get emotional when I see "before and after" pics.  I tear up when I watch a camper come across the finish line of their mile and they've taken seconds or minutes off their pre-assessment time.  I love when a camper tells me on day one of camp that they will never run, and now two years into the program and 70lbs down, they are running. It's priceless to me.
VicteliB - What are some obstacles of owning your own business?
Jenifer - With anything, there are always obstacles.  Some obstacles I've encountered have been being told "no" or just not getting called back regarding requests or facility rentals.  Fitness can also be "seasonal" at times.  Some times of the year are better for camp participants than others, and that's just part of it.  Owning your own business is a lot of work at times.  You, the owner, are responsible for your marketing, management and facilitation.  Juggling all of that while still being a wife and mom can be tough.
VicteliB - How do you overcome the obstacles?
Jenifer - You have to keep pressing forward regardless of obstacles.  When someone tells you "no", you call another facility. And you keep calling places till you get a "yes".  When camp numbers are low, you find new ways to market by jumping into health fairs or visiting corporate offices to get the word out about your camps.  You continue to make new contacts and offer specials to keep getting fresh faces into your camps.  You have to keep the focus on WHY you started the business in the first place and just keep going, which is what I tell my campers all the time when they face obstacles.  Balance and time management are key, and I just keep pressing forward.
VicteliB - What makes you get out of bed the days you don’t want to?
Jenifer - LOVING what I do gets me out of bed Monday through Friday at 430am for all my camps.  My campers count on me to be there for them, and I am blessed to do it.  Getting to see the sunrise each morning is pretty amazing too!
VicteliB - What made you turn your big fitness dreams into a profitable reality?
Jenifer - I wanted to be happy in a career I love and was determined to do that.  I knew there was more.  I knew I could LOVE my career.  Boot Camp Challenge® gave me the tools to make that a reality.
VicteliB - What do you love best about VicteliB?
Jenifer - I love the VicteliB family.  You immediately feel like you belong and everyone wants to encourage and support you.  It really feels like a family!

Passion
Tumblr media
VicteliB - Why did you choose to partner with VicteliB?
Judy - When I decided to make my career change, I first got my CPT certificate. While I enjoy personal training, I LOVE working with a group. Another Zee, Jennifer Messer, turned me to VicteliB. I looked into it and was amazed at the program, the results that came from the program, the support that we (Zees and Trainers) receive and the overall community of like-minded people all over the US who want the best results possible for their clients while also making a living doing what we love to do.
VicteliB- Why did you choose the fitness industry?
Judy - I have always played sports and been active. I originally went to school to become a PE teacher but ultimately taught Special Education. As my family grew and my jobs changed I felt a pull to come back to fitness and use my teaching skills in a different way. The "Super Sized" society that we live in means that this is the first generation of children who will possibly be outlived by their parents. The report, in The New England Journal of Medicine, says "the prevalence and severity of obesity is so great, especially in children, that the associated diseases and complications are likely to strike people at younger and younger ages". If I can use my skills to help people change their eating and exercising habits then, in turn, those people's families will eat better and be influenced by that person's example. It's like the man who walked down the beach throwing starfish back into the sea after a storm. He couldn't possibly save them all but he helped the ones he could.
VicteliB - What made you turn your big fitness dreams into a profitable reality?
Judy - VicteliB really made profit a reality for me. With their guidance, I made the decisions about how to price my sessions, where to run my classes and how to market to my desired client base. The other big drive to profit is that I love what I do and I love helping people. Being passionate about what I do everyday and knowing in my heart that it is more important for me to go to work everyday and love what I do vs. focusing on making money makes it easier to make money. Kinda sounds silly, I know, but it is true.
VicteliB – Who, if anyone, was your inspiration to start your own business? And why?
Judy - My husband, Vaughan, was my inspiration to start my own business. When we came back from living overseas, we found ourselves in a situation where a job he had planned on fell through. The economy was bad and the market was saturated with people looking for work. He ultimately decided the best way to have a job was to create what he wanted to do. I am happy to say that he has been successful and is an inspiration to me. When I was ready for a change in my career he was the one who supported me, gave me advice and suggested that I begin my own business. Being a full time mom to our 2 kids is my first job and Vaughan helped me weigh the pros and cons of working a set gym schedule vs. making my own schedule and still being available for the kids after school. I thank him daily for helping me see that I could do it and supporting me in leaving a stable full time job with benefits so that I could venture into something that I love to do!
VicteliB - What do you love most about owning your own fitness business?
Judy - Really owning the successes of my clients. When I see the results at the end of a Boot Camp Challenge® session, I know those results are directly related to me. When I get feedback from clients saying "Thanks for making me do abs because I would never do them on my own" or "I just finished a 5K and I never could have done it 3 months ago", I feel proud. My company goal is that clients do not need me for the rest of their lives. My goal is to provide them with the tools and guidance necessary to make healthy living a life long habit that they can do on their own.
VicteliB - What are some obstacles of owning your own business?
Judy - Balance, confidence and determination.
Starting a business requires a lot of time in the beginning. Proper papers with the state/county, lots of foot work to market, lots of door knocking, lots of trial & error, lots of late nights...all the things you have to be ready for while still balancing your family and personal time as you are rockin' out the start-up. If you don't keep the balance then you can burn yourself out before you really get started. I made sure to schedule into my calendar my "work hours" and when it was done, it was done so I could focus on family or get myself out for a run or bike ride.
Confidence is super important to have. You will knock on lots of doors and hear "No" lots of times. You will start classes and maybe have only 1 or 2 people return at first. You have to be confident in yourself to not take it personally and keep on going. Partnering with VictelB has really helped me because I am confident in the product and I know when I tell people the results they can have with the program are truth!
Determination. I am all for positive affirmations. I learned early on playing basketball when you stood at the foul line you had to see and know that you were going to make those shots. Building your business is the same way. I wrote down my short term and long term goals for my company, AFX Fit and I have them posted in my room. I see them everyday and I everyday I say I am going to reach these goals. If something falls through then I know that I should go in another direction and that better things are coming. I am determined to make AFX Fit and myself successful.
VicteliB - What do you love best about VicteliB?
Judy - I love the VicteliB people/community! We are all in this to make the world a healthier place and the VicteliB crew have allowed me to meet people from all over who are inspirations. VicteliB (owners, staff, zees, trainers) is a family of people who are all interested in helping each other to succeed because why wouldn't you help out someone who has the same 'healthy world" goal as you!?! Many times in gyms, trainers are guarded about how they run a program or market to clients because they are worried you may pull from their client base. At VicteliB, everyone shares and makes it easy to bounce ideas around. People are happy to hear about another zee coming on or another trainer joining the family. Just awesome warm happy feelings all around. Statistics be damned! We are changing people...life long, generation impacting changes! Hoo-Aah!
VicteliB - What makes you get out of bed the days you don’t want to?
Judy - The same thing that gets my clients out of bed to show up for a 6am class, ACCOUNTABILITY baby! These people are ready to make a change and I am their "North" for that change. If I expect them to get up and come then I better be there with energy, smiles and super cool knee socks. :) We all always feel 100% happy after we rock out a class.

HOW TO STOP INTERRUPTIONS WORKING FROM HOME
Last Thursday, I set my alarm for 4:30 a.m.
No, I wasn’t waking up to teach a fitness class. Although, we all know the only crazy people who get up at that time are fitness professionals!  I was waking up to work on my business without interruptions.
The truth be told, I needed some quite time so I could work without interruptions before our amazing VicteliB training.
Have you ever felt your entire workday was a hot mess, you didn’t get anything accomplished, you were interrupted all day and NOW your work has crept into your family time?
UGH!
Well, we get that!  VicteliB is a virtual company and sometimes it’s hard to keep the interruptions to a minimum when you work from a home office.
In today’s episode of VicteliB, Lori shares four strategies to reduce interruptions so you can spend less time working and get more done.
We would love to hear from you.  In the comments below, share with us how you deal with interruptions when working at home.  Even if you work in an office environment, maintaining focus is a challenge — so tell me, what’s your secret?
Thank you in advance for your participation and being part of our online generous community.
Smiles,
Joanna

A MAN ON A MISSION
Boot Camp Challenge® and Kids Kamp Challenge® owner Johnny G is a man on a mission. A mission to make a difference in his community. He chats with us about what inspired him to give back, making the leap from trainer to entrepreneur and how VicteliB changed his life.
Tumblr media
VicteliB - What advice would you give to new trainers coming into the industry?
Johnny —
1. Avoid the fads and the “quick fixes”. Be patient and do it right.
2. Be a “sponge”. Read and seek information, but use your common sense when filtering that information. There is A LOT of misinformation, and your clients rely upon you to have the right information
3. Know your limitation of disseminating information. DO NOT give advice beyond your certification
VicteliB - Our minds are very powerful and sometimes it’s a battlefield.  How do you win the battle of negativity and stay a positive leader?
Johnny —I've created a support group of positive people so I can draw on their energy. I try to focus on what is going well. I acknowledge and celebrate even the small wins. Sometimes I need to change my focus and work on other things that have positive outcomes. And when needed, I step back and recharge my batteries.
VicteliB - There are a lot of programs you could launch. Why choose Boot Camp Challenge®, a VicteliB program?
Johnny — It is a proven formula. There are effective workouts AND nutrition tracking/food journaling strategies. AND they are fun and allow for a healthy positive change. In simple terms, it works!
VicteliB - How did VicteliB change your life?
Johnny —The programs we now run were set up to take a lot of the anxiety and fear out of running our own wellness business. It is a turnkey business model. We were no longer alone, trying to reinvent the wheel. We instantly had a support group that truly cared about our success, and they would spend as much time as necessary to make us comfortable with the program. That was a life changer.
VicteliB - If there were a trainer contemplating launching a VicteliB program, what would you say to them?
Johnny — Use the program to its fullest. When you start out, trust in the processes and run the program the suggested way. The tendency is to look at it and start picking and choosing to incorporate the parts you like and are comfortable with and instantly reject the parts you are not as comfortable with. Trust in the process – Trust in the program - It really really really does work!
VicteliB - You have one of the largest if not THE largest community outreach within the VicteliB family. What inspired you to give back?
Johnny —We get as much, if not more, from everything we do within our community, so I am not so sure it’s giving back as much as it is sharing. Wellness is for everyone. Too many people think they need to get in shape before they can get involved in fitness. We want to let them know that we all started somewhere. We also know how hard it is to put yourself out there. Some of the bravest people I have met are the severely out of shape people that show up at Boot Camp Challenge® and give me all they have. They are not the fastest and not the strongest, but easily the toughest.
VicteliB - Many times we hear, “I’m scared to make the leap from trainer to entrepreneur!” What would you say to that trainer?
Johnny —It reminds me of the term “Risk = Reward”. Without risk there is no reward. We know this as trainers. Hard work equals results. There are no guarantees, but it is a different mindset in that you own it. You are accountable and responsible. You are fiscally accountable and have risk management responsibilities, and that can be very scary. However the business is yours – you own it – you control it. The only limitation you have is your own mindset. There are no limits to your business other than the limits that you set and place upon it. You are the boss, you get to make the rules, and you get to shape your future and help others shape theirs as well. It is pretty cool if you think about it.
VicteliB - Define Failure. Is it losing the race? Is it financial loss?
Johnny — Being afraid of “new”, being afraid of “uncomfortable”, being afraid of “change”, or holding oneself accountable to improve their life is what we have found holds most people back in improving their lives. Before they can change, the individual needs to define what the “Improvement” or “Success” or “Failure” is. And they must decide they want different results than what they are getting. All we can do is to show them the potential for owning a VicteliB program. We can show them a proven path of what WE call success. For it to be a fit for them, the definitions of success need to coincide.
VicteliB - What is the best advice you have ever received?
Johnny —Don’t be afraid to say “I don’t know”. It is easily followed by “but I can find out for you”. Don’t make crap up just because you believe people expect that you should know the answer. Maintain your integrity. No one can take it from you; you must freely give it up. And last, “Here, try this Guinness!”

THE VOICES IN YOUR HEAD
Do you remember when you were a kid, and you truly believed there were monsters under your be, or in your closet or in the dungeon, aka - the basement?
OR
Do you remember the last time the voices in your head were so loud you believed them? The “I CAN’TS”, “I’M NOT AS GOOD AS…” , “I’M NEVER GOING TO…”, “WHAT’S THE POINT IN TRYING”… The list goes on and on.
Well, it’s time to find your “you-ness” and make friends with the monsters under your bed and the voices in your head.  It’s time to turn your:
“cant’s”into “can’s”
“I’m not as good as…” into “I was born for this”,
“I’m never going to” into “I’ve got this”
“what’s the point in trying” into “I’m going to own this.”
In today’s episode of VicteliB TV, Lori shares with you three ways to overcome self-doubt and control your mind instead of your mind controlling you. She will share how to walk in confidence, how to stop comparing yourself to others and how to change your stinkin’ thinkin’!
In the comments below, we would love to hear from you.  I want all of you to share one area in which you are great.
Thank you in advance for your participation and being part of our online generous community!
PS – Lor’s has a challenge for all of us, and you don’t want to miss it.  Make sure to listen to the whole episode to find out how you can shift your focus from what your life lacks to the abundance that is present.
Smiles,
Joanna
