felix wasn't sure if he should approach her at first, but decided that yes, he should & no, nobody should be alone after that holli had gone through. how much did she remember? what exactly happened? they got her out, they knew the why & the who, but.. he wasn't quite savvy with the details after all. not that it mattered - she was out, she was safe. they had her back now. "listen, we might be gods, but we're humans too. hell, even gods make mistakes." & he accepted the flask, taking a swift sip before handing it back & scrunching his nose as it traveled down his throat.
"next time, though. don't go alone? we worried."
[ location: bonfire ] [ open: to anyone ]
holli is sitting at the flickering bonfire, nursing her flask and just sort of quietly dissociating. she's done a lot of crying and some ranting and raving in the past couple days, and is just really trying to stay on the spinning earth at this point. she liked being in the middle of everyone moving around. "i should've known this place was determined to really break me. what a stupid ass mistake." she shook her head, talking to herself more than anyone. except that she offered the flask. and it was in the spirit of true hospitality this time, as she had dropped all pretenses and chit chat for the first time in her life maybe.

"ahaha, funny. i won't go easy on you next time, promise." he'd go all out if he had to, but he would carry home the crown next time. some more practice, some more prep & he was sure he could do it. he knew the other was strong, he'd seen it in the way he moved along the obstacle course, but that didn't mean felix wouldn't put in some extra hours to up his chances. using his wings.. didn't even cross his mind.
"not sure if i wanna take you on in the arena, but i guess we can try. wall's my favorite place to be, though. definite first class treatment if you beat me on the wall again." he got the feeling he wouldn't do too well against the other on the battle field - he looked like one of those ares kids, all rough around the edges & lethal as fuck. probably packed a mean punch.
he sat down with the other, happy to let his legs dangle off the platform & folded his wings behind him as to not push the other off with them, the view of the camp.. definitely a sight. he guessed he was a bit blind to it at this point, the view up high one he saw often, but .. beautiful nonetheless. "oh yeah, i should've demanded a head start." felix grinned, hand patting the other's thigh. "nike. if the wings weren't obvious." he wasn't sure why he was so fond of the wall, but it brought him comfort to reach the top time & time again. once upon a time he couldn't.
Alaric wasn't one to gloat even if the victory was pretty sweet. It felt more like good sporting banter as he patted Felix's shoulder once he was on the same ground as him. "Too bad. Because it looks like I may never find out then." He teased all in good fun. There was something he felt familiar with Felix. Like he was one of his comrades back in the academy or early military days. With his reassignment there were very little team missions on his roster. It was good to get a taste of that comradery again.
"I kid, I kid. No I'm up for the challenge whenever ya want it. Even if we compete somewhere else. I could use a good training partner. It might be good if the two of us are ever paired up on an assignment. Plus if it gets me first class treatment on Felix airways how canna say no?" For a moment he wanted to enjoy the view, so Alaric plopped down on the edge with his legs over the cliff. "To the victor go the spoils. Have a seat with my while we take in this view."
Surely had to be the best views as it over looked some of the tree line. Had to say this was probably one of the best war camps he'd been stationed at. "Probably should'a told you this from start. Me dad is Kratos, God of Strength. So like this kind of shit is in my blood I guess." Looking down at the wall they just climbed. Felix surely gave him a challenge even with his enhancements. Which made him such an idle training partner.

oh hey, he wasn't from here. he knew half the country's population thought the british accent hot, but felix ... found it cute. especially on a demigod who struggled to fly - it seemed. lucky coincidence he was around & not someone else who couldn't fly. he didn't have wings, so.. not nike's. he should know which others had the ability to fly, but other than the most obvious - zeus, felix didn't really know.
"glad i was around. no harm done and you didn't get squashed like a fly." win win. he let them descend slowly & gently until both their feet sat safely on the ground again. "alright, first of all. i'm felix. who did i have the pleasure of catching mid-air, hm?" not that he minded rescuing others, but he was curious nonetheless. he released the other man & let his wings flap as he stepped away from him. "who's your god? or parent?" might help them figure out the flying bit, too.
as it would appear, flying was a lot easier when he's on an actual plane with him as the pilot. ever since he arrived at camp, henry wanted nothing more than to master his innate divine powers and access them to their fullest potential. he got the hang of lifting heavy items and shooting bolts of lightning from his fingertips fairly quickly. however, he somehow couldn't figure out a way to remain afloat.
soaring far too high for his own safety, henry immediately realized the mistake he made when turbulent winds bombarded him from every direction like a bird caught in a storm. the newest chosen son of zeus found himself in a position all too familiar now as he descended from the sky. luckily, a gentleman with wings caught him just before he made impact with the ground. "bloody hell," he cursed and tried to control his breathing. "thought i was done for, mate," henry remarked and gave an approving nod. "i'm grateful for the save."

"doubt it, but we can try some day. i promise next time you unpack the gorilla i won't back down." felix grinned & he meant it. he was always up for a challenge - always pushing himself. how could he grow as a person if he didn't push himself out of his comfort zone? competing with a girl with gorilla hands? definitely a challenge he was up for.
"no offense taken." still that winner smile, because felix could & because he was amused by his own stupidity as she'd implied it. "listen, you call yourself kitty, i'm just ... appreciating the name." so, she had claws? he couldn't help but be curious.
"mh. why? you.. feel you owe her?" he was curious how others saw the whole ...god or ..goddess thing. he was here, too, so in a way he did feel the same obligation towards his mother goddess, even if he didn't feel like he did some days.
" I don't know, I might be quick enough to speed race you up there. " Kiara was fairly certain she wouldn't be fast enough, but it didn't mean she wasn't going to be willing to try. " Thanks, it's taken a bit but i'm pretty comfortable with my current abilities and skills, they all have pretty great synergy with one another. " Her focus was on growth, becoming strong enough to help with some of the pitfalls and challenges they faced as a collective unit.
" You're stupid, Felix. " Rolling his eyes and shaking her head at the purring, she supposed a sense of humor wasn't the worst thing for a demigod to have. " No, I get it. I was running around for a while doing my own thing simply because I wanted to, but when you get the call, you get the call. I couldn't let my goddess down. "

"maybe i'll get to have some fun with sirens myself one day." seems like he'd missed a great time being away. he didn't regret leaving to live a mundane life - he'd enjoyed his work & being away from the chaos that is eoghan camp halfblood, but now he wondered if maybe he should've come back here instead .. after camp jupiter. hm. then again, sirens? probably not the best way to celebrate freedom. then again, holli's little story sounded pretty good.
"still, just.. thought i should let you know i appreciate it." he did. it'd been just the two of them & he had been supposed to be the damage & yet .. he took more hits than he should've. he didn't have a lot of defenses when the enemy had nobody else to go through but him. "i'll make sure to practice before throwing myself into the next rescue mission." he'd stick to ... more lowkey missions for now, definitely. if he got someone killed by thinking too highly of himself? no. "so uh, you got anybody in camp... y'know? someone?"
"yeah, it was too good. wish i had a picture to show you. i met the nicest butch lesbian stud siren you've ever seen. wild fuckin hot, hooked me up and expected nothing in return." she kissed gathered fingertips, accidently thinking too much about how perfect it really was and felt a shiver run down her spine. "well, probably not actually nice but she was to me. before we escaped." good times. speaking of, maybe it would be smart to avoid ariadne this week and not make anything weird. "oh, felix, you don't have to thank me!" she shook her head with an incredulous laugh. "that's what a team does. plenty of people have carried me on those off days we all have. and if i had just let her kill you, she would have simply killed me next before evas got there. we have to protect each other or none of us will survive."

the wall was a challenge & not a small one at that. felix had climbed it more times than he could count since he first came to camp as a young boy. the shifts still surprised him sometimes, but he generally knew how to adapt faster than the average. he didn't expect the young demigod to climb all the way up on his first try, which was why he'd stuck somewhat close. so, when he slipped & fell, felix knew he could've let him fall & he'd be fine, but that wasn't the promise he made. so, he caught him without much effort, arms around his hips & holding him. "happens to the best of us." he gently descended until both their feet were on the ground again & then let go. "wanna try again now that you witnessed the first shift?"
Greyson ascended the wall wrapped in the form of his Vine!Panther, the creatures powerful form allowing for him to manoeuvre with feline grace and cunning as he climbed. It was always thrilling to use his powers and think of new ways to adapt them to aid in whatever challenge he was facing. When he felt the first change in the wall, Greyson leapt out, claws catching on the ledge but not quite enough to secure his footing. He reached for purchase on any surface as he seemed to fall, the Vine!Panther seeming to fall away from around him as Greyson's concentration slipped in his sudden descent. "Fuck!"

"for sure." he'd definitely draw attention to himself in those - if he was to wear only those pants with nothing on top, which ... he might, if the weather allowed for it. he wasn't going to freeze his ass off just for a party & a nice outfit. he was curious, though, if he seemed the type to go for a look like that on the regular. then again, letting a stranger choose for him - he asked for it, truly. "guess bird it is then." angel... nah. he was far from that. "you fly, too?" sure sounded like it. he didn't know everybody's strengths & weaknesses yet. "wanna head over to nike's cabin? won't get any more private than that." camp .. was always populated, so his room sounded like the best option. "guess i shoulda asked before askin' you for an outfit, but what's your name? i'm felix."
what someone was and wasn't wasn't really any of london's concern. he walked around camp without a solid three thoughts in his head at all times. maybe that's why he came back from an excruciating time in space as if he had just went to the grocery store for a whole month. fashion though? now that was something he could think about. "what better way to prove that you're not shy than to show up with this then?" he smiled widely over at felix before he went to sit down on the nearest spot. "an angel then, if you're not a bird?" again, the logistics were going to continue going over his head. "i thought you would, it seemed right up your alley. i'm going to have to make sure it fits though. we can fly up somewhere private if you don't want anyone else to see you."

the training grounds weren't felix's most frequented location, but sometimes - when the olympic wall was too crowded or he felt that itch to practice with his swords a little, he .. did peek his head in. with his short swords in a holster on his back, he was still debating what to train when a voice reached him. was he talking to him? looked like.
he could help, sure. "yeah, sure - why not." he never really thought about switching weapons, although he did play with the idea of a greatsword. "whatcha need me to do? i'm felix, by the way."

location: training grounds
Corey wouldn't consider himself a scientist, but when a new weapon arrived at camp the Ares born had to test. Most were out of balance, even worthless, and that made a search for something special all the more exciting. He stood beside a wood workbench beside the grounds, inspecting the dozens of new blades to explore.
"Hey! 'you wanna help me test these out?" He spoke up the moment a strong demigod entered.
