Type: Ghost

Title: The Phantom Limb Pokémon

Pokedex Entry: When a person loses a limb in a traumatic way, part of their soul can remain trapped inside it. Over time, it will become a Pokémon.

Forms: It has two forms. Its first form is that of a shadowy beast, the bones of the limb at the core. In this form, it lashes out at everything around it that isn't the person it came from, due to it being lost, afraid, and experiencing phantom pain. Over time, it calms down enough to take its second form, a shadowy version of the person that it came from, the bones of the limb in proper position. In this form, it is much more reasonable- it might even be able to talk! In either form, it seeks out the person it came from- the only one that it will allow to be its Trainer.

Important note: Very few know of its second form, as those that see its first form tend to panic and catch it to stop its rampage. They then never let it out again, since they cannot control it.

Have you decided on their preferred cars yet? Who gets each bunk in the Crash Pad? What are some things they brought from home?

In terms of what kinds of cars each of the HWLR Legacy crew prefer to drive, I have the following!

Tesla likes to drive sports vehicles with a heavier focus on technological components, or advanced car-power. Cars such as the Nerve Hammer, or the Quick N' Sik are some of his top picks. While he's willing to try driving any car once, Parker prefers to drive race vehicles which allow for better handling and control, favorite car picks including the Super Blitzen and the Futurismo. Rivet prefers to drive cars made for tricks on-track (think loops and half-pipes), but prefers his cars to look less flashy. Favorites include the SpecTyte and the Forward Force. Roxy's favorites are off-road cars- bonus points if they are creature themed! Cars like the Terra-Tracktyl and the Spider Rider are her preferred picks. While initially, Clutch's car preferences are more superficial (choosing cars without understanding how they work, and why previous racers have been able to win races or complete challenges driving them), she ends up gravitating towards high-performance muscle cars, such as the Ravenger S/T or the Blvd. Bruiser. Volt prefers to drive cars with exposed engines and visually unique builds. Their preferred cars include the Z-Rod and the FusionBusta.

When it comes to the bunks in the Crash Pad, I'm still not sure! Still to be determined! (sorry!)

Outside of the camp must-haves, a few extras brought from home include Volt bringing her spray-paints, Tesla's tools and as many small inventions as he could fit in his bags, and Rivet's ZG-Board.

HWLR Alterverse AU: Parking Problems

The campers were in the middle of a practice race, using the RocketFire, the Skull Crusher, the 🩶Mad Manga🩶, the Aristo Rat, the 💛Shark Bite💛, and the Baja Jump Truck. And as always, they were ready to comment on each other's performance. "Hey Cruise, what's the holdup? You're the Hot Wheels Camp Champ, and a speed based racer at that!" "Don't count me out yet, Axle! I won last time, and I'll win again now- just watch!" With that, she took a more definitive lead, and victory was hers. "Nice going, Cruise. For a moment, I thought I had you beat." 🩶"You'll win next time, Axle."🩶 "Sidecar, no one's beatin' my buddy Cruise. She's Camp Champ for a reason." 💛"I agree. Cruise has gotten much faster that she was during the Grand Prix!"💛 "Now she's faster than fast- she's the fasterest!"

Around that point, Dash showed up. "I think you've all gotten faster since then thanks to your hard work. That'll really make things more interesting as we shift into high gear with level two!" Cheers all around. "Level two! ...Uh, Dash, what is level two?" "Great question, Brights! Level two is the next stage of your training. Everything gets more epic. And, the leaderboard resets." That it did, right then and there. 💛"How come it has to reset?"💛 "If it didn't, someone could coast along on the prior level's badges, and win without really earning it. And I'm not letting that happen! Especially since you'll be racing for more than a medal. The prize for winning level two is: the Ultimate Garage!" "So, the winner gets all the cars?" "And they can use the Track Builder whenever they want?" "And they'll live here...forever?" "Yes, yes, and yes! Now then, I still need to set up the first race, so in the meantime, I've got these for all of you!" She revealed a set of amusement park tickets. "Enjoy!" They each took a ticket, got into their cars, and off they went!

They soon arrived, and discussed what they were going to do. "I'm going to the haunted house! I can't wait to see what scary story it's based on this time!" "I'm going to ride all the coasters, and then try all the new food stands!" "We're going to the Ferris Wheel." 🩶"We can see the whole city from up there!"🩶 💛"I'm going to the midway. I'm really good at the games there!"💛 "I'm...not sure what I want to do. I've never been to an amusement park before." The others weren't too surprised by that, but it was still weird to hear it said aloud. "I'm sure you'll find something you'll enjoy." 💛"Let's meet back here in a hour!"💛 And with that, they ran off to enjoy the park.

Cruise wandered around for a bit. There were plenty of rides, sure, but none that really caught her interest. The others sure were having a good time though. But that was not to last. Suddenly, the ground started to rumble. The sound of footsteps could be heard. And at last, the source of both revealed itself- a giant gorilla! It began to attack the park, starting with the roller coasters. With their tracks broken, the rides were all stopped, with one stuck on the top hill. "...This isn't part of the ride, is it?"

"Why is this happening?" The amusement park has nothing to do with the cars or the Ultimate Garage- Rearview should have no reason to unleash a monster here! And yet, here it was. "Is it...because of me?" Her dad was mad at her for running off and joining the Ultimate Garage Racing Camp, sure, but he'd never try to hurt her...right? "No, no time to think about that." The gorilla was attacking the Ferris Wheel now. Again, the ride was stopped, trapping the campers that were using it. 🩶"Ahhh!"🩶 "I need to get the others!"

Where were they again? Oh, right, the haunted house and the midway! Good thing those areas were right next to each other. 💛"Cruise?"💛 "What's going on?" "No time to explain, we need to get back to our cars before..." It was already too late. The gorilla had caught up to them, bringing down the house and all the booths! The resulting debris separated the campers from the path back to the cars...and each other! "We're ok!" 💛"We're going to find another way around!"💛 It was all up to Cruise now.

She had to find some way to take this gorilla down! But how? Maybe one of the rides could help. "Tilt-a-Whirl...Log Flume...Bumper Cars...Carousel...wait! Bumper Cars!" It's worth a try, at least. She got in, and to her surprise, even these cars have a special power! The gorilla tried to grab her, but she dodged and bounced all the way to the top of the Drop Tower. "Time to send this gorilla packing! Rebound Rumble, activate! Go Hot Wheels!" The gorilla leapt up to stop her, but she hit it at just the right angle for the rebound of said hit to send it careening into the distance!

The amusement park workers got her friends off their rides safely, and ushered them and everyone else in the park out, as it had to close for repairs. They made it back to camp, albeit much later than they had planned. "Hey campers! I heard about what happened. Sorry I couldn't get there in time to help." "No worries Dash, we got it under control! Now then, I think we need to unwind a bit...is the race ready?" "About that...it's too late to have the race now. I'll have to combine it with the next challenge I had planned." "Oh." Well, that was disappointing. "But there is something else we can do. Someone delivered this video to the Ultimate Garage. Let's see what it is!"

The video began to play. A figure in a deep blue, high tech suit appeared. "Hello, Hot Wheels City. Did you enjoy seeing the gorilla I created?" Wait...what?! "No, of course you didn't. With any luck, it managed to destroy those precious camp racers you idolize so much. And even if it didn't...well, it certainly sent a message. The professor's not working alone anymore, and things are only going to get worse...much worse. See you then." The video seemed to turn off- but then, it continued. "Oh, you're probably wondering who I am. You all can call me...the Street Shrieker!" Now the video was done. "Dad's...got an apprentice now?" "And judging from his menacing look and the fact that he could attack us anywhere...I think we're in big trouble!"
