while gi-hun and in-ho’s dynamic is very important to the plot, i think a lot of shippers do have this kind of.. clouded vision? like rose-tinted glasses, to where they misinterpret their interpretations as canon. but romantic or sexual tensions are pure interpretation, as is almost everything not confirmed! they are just as much interpretations the same way i don’t interpret them romantically. it’s all about people’s perception.

comparing the ship to hannigram is also not the greatest argument considering hannigram is literally BUILT around will and hannibal’s relationship/dynamic.

squid game, on the other hand, is a show about the criticism of capitalism and a corrupt system. it is an ALLEGORY.

SQUID GAME 3 TEASER I -- A FULL IZZY ANALYSIS

Headcanon idea for sangihun

Sang-woo calls Gi-hun hyung. But I wonder if Gi-hun would ever call Sang-woo, dongsaeng (as young sibling/ friend). I can imagine him using it as a kid when he thought Sang-woo was doing something he shouldn't or being brat. He uses it to call out his behaviour. That title always gets his attention and makes he do what Gi-hun says because he hates being referred to as a child by his friend, who isn't that much older than him.

But sometimes Gi-hun uses it to comfort him when he gets hurt or gets a low mark on a test that takes hit to his ego of being the smart kid in his class. Gi-hun would hold him and tell him how smart and successful he'll be as an adult, that the teacher had graded it wrong, etc.. to make him feel better again.

Now, as adults, Gi-hun only calls Sang-woo, dongsaeng, when he feels like Sang-woo is in the wrong, and one day it came out during heated argument and as a way to shut him up which only lead to upset Sang-woo even more that he walked away and didn't speak to Gi-hun for years. Gi-hun never used it again.
