Please don’t skip 🍉🇵🇸

I am Ahmed from Gaza, 26 years old. I stand before you as a person trying to support my family of 7: me, my father, my mother and my sisters, in our miserable circumstances, which we live in after the occupation launched the war on Gaza. We were displaced from our home and it was completely destroyed. We are now living in shelters. Due to the circumstances and low income, we are unable to provide the necessary benefits such as food and drink due to the crazy increase in prices. Thus, my source of livelihood has been destroyed, but it has been completely destroyed, as we are no longer entitled to work; and we expect to live in miserable conditions in the shelters. It is difficult for me to find the words to describe what we face every day in the shelters; without food, medicine or clean drinking water; with the oppression, helplessness, psychological pressures, doubts and daily shocks caused by everything around us and the inability to care for our loved ones. The fear of danger, disease and death never leaves us.
Now, I find myself in this difficult situation, and I humbly ask for your help to save the lives of my family, especially my father and mother, by getting us out of Gaza to Egypt and building a new life outside Gaza or helping us get money to buy the necessities that we may be able to afford. Asking for help is not easy, but we had no choice because we want to survive and strive to rebuild our shattered lives. We are very grateful for any help you can offer, no matter how small, as your help will go a long way in alleviating our suffering. I hope you will share my story with your family and friends.”

Chitra nakshatra analysis - Part 1
𓋤
This post serves as an introduction to the series. In this part of the Chitra analysis series, I will explore on how this nakshatra manifests in relation to identity, beauty, and creativity.
Chitra is the 14th nakshatra in the lunar mansion, located in both Kanya (♍︎) and Tula (♎︎), and is ruled by Mars. Chitra is opposite both Ashwini and Revati. Its deity is Tvashhtar, the celestial architect, Tvashhtar actually takes two forms, one being Vishvakarma, the creator of the universe. Tvashhtar is also associated with Maya, as it creates illusions. The word Chitra translates to “the brilliant one” or “shining jewel,” and some astrologers interpret it as “pretty picture” or “beautiful one.” Which reflect the core themes of beauty and craftsmanship within this nakshatra.Chitra is symbolized by pearls, reflecting the purity, refinement, and hidden depth aligning with Chitra’s ability to transform raw material into beauty.

Beyoncé, a Chitra ♍︎ ↑, is one of the most renowned performers in the world, known for her constant crafting of image, brand, and perfectionistic work ethic. From her first solo album, she has demonstrated her love for combining visuals and music to create an immersive experience and tell a story. Beyoncé’s albums reflect her artistic evolution, as she expands across different genres, dance styles, and fashion expressions. As seen in her live performances, everything is meticulously calculated—even her water breaks are choreographed to maintain the flow and rhythm of the performance, is very much in line with Chitra’s need for form that functions both practically and aesthetically. In her behind-the-scenes documentary, Beyoncé is shown to be the first to arrive at work and the last to leave, constantly critiquing and arranging every detail, from dance choreography to stage props and music arrangements. Chitra natives tend to have constant irritability; the greater the challenge, the more creative they become. They can experience depression when they’re not actively creating. This perfectionism stems from Virgo energy, with its need for work and routine, and ties to the 6th house themes. In her live performances, Beyoncé often remixes her older songs, giving them new interpretations and refinements. The perfectionist and creative drive has been evident since her days in Destiny’s Child, contributing to her standout presence within the group. Chitra is known for its ability to shine, and with Spica—the brightest star in the constellation—Chitra natives are naturally conspicuous, drawing attention for their brilliance.

Courtney Love, a Chitra ♎︎ ↑, embodies a rebellious feminine energy that aligns perfectly with the essence of Chitra. Her music, innovative style, and the grunge movement she helped popularize reflect the raw creativity and artistic expression central to this nakshatra. Courtney’s popularization of the “kinderwhore” style, along with her brand of music, showcases Chitra’s themes of beauty, rebellion, and political expression, as Chitra natives are motivators of justice, which is reflected in Libra’s influence. When you think of Courtney Love, her wild, teased bleached-blonde hair, red pouty lips, vintage distressed baby doll dresses, and raw, gritty voice come to mind. Her fashion has inspired many, and she purposefully cultivates a unique aesthetic, collecting vintage items, arranging heart-shaped boxes filled with poetry, baby dolls, and other objects that fit the mood of her expression. aligning with the natives of this nakshatra love for the arrangement of beautiful things. Courtney matches her aesthetic with her music, using imagery in her songwriting. Interestingly, many rappers also have Chitra placements, as this nakshatra is has its skill in wordplay and rhythm, similar to Hasta’s affinity for poetry. Courtney Love is also known for her controversial public persona, but Chitra natives often thrive in controversy. No matter what they do, people continue to consume their work and cannot stop looking, which benefits their image—a key aspect for Chitra. The juxtaposition of chaos and crafted beauty aligns with Chitra’s inherent duality. Olivia Rodrigo, with her Chitra ☽ in ♍︎, draws influence from Courtney Love, especially in the themes of heartbreak, angst, and vulnerability in her album Guts.

Olivia even references Holes live through this album cover album cover. I’ve observed similar imagery in other Chitra natives, like Adriana Lima Chappell Roan and Olivia Rodrigo. Pageants, which represent women performing beauty also reflect the themes of Chitra. Contestants in pageants focus on discipline, individuality, and performance as they compete to “stand out” from the other participants, which can lead to insecurity and pressure. This mirrors the drive for perfection and the complex balance between self-expression and external expectations that these natives often navigate.

Doja Cat, with both Chitra ♎︎ ☉ ↑, is a prime example of Chitra’s dynamic, ever-changing image and artistic experimentation, paired with controversy. As I’ve mentioned before, Chitra natives thrive as rappers, and Doja Cat is a versatile artist who both raps and sings (as Beyoncé also does in some of her songs). Doja’s constant experimentation with different music genres and fashion is a key aspect of her image. Her bold fashion statements and risk-taking on the red carpet and in everyday life reflect’s the nakshatra’s drive for reinvention and creativity. She continuously renews her style, which is reminiscent of Chitra♎︎☽ artist Grace Jones, known for her unique beauty and artistic expression in both fashion and music. Doja’s controversies have followed her since the beginning of her career, but she projects an idgaf attitude when called out. Much of her trolling, Chitras tend to lean into, is not meant to be taken seriously but instead aims to provoke a reaction. Chitra natives do this in order to get others to reveal hidden truths, pretending to hold offensive or oppressive views, even though they don’t actually agree with the controversial things they say. Doja Cat reference this in her song “Demons” which chitra nakshatra is Rakshasa Gana (Demonic). Doja’s experimentation with music and visuals can be seen in the work of other Chitra artist , like Chitra ♎︎ ☽ artist Santigold, who was prominent during the indie sleaze era. Another notable example is Chitra ☉ in ♍︎ Arca, known for their electronic sound and enigmatic visuals.

Chitra ♎︎ ☽, actress Jodie Turner-Smith, is more widely recognized for her beauty than her film work. Chitra, at times, can be reduced to just aesthetic appeal, reinforcing the balance between their artistic expression and physical presence.

Alexa Demie, with her Chitra ♎︎ ☽, is widely known for her beauty, fashion statements, and the memorable way she delivers lines in her acting, which has even led to her being memed. Claire Nakti mentioned in her Chitra exploration video that both Jyestha and Chitra are used as memes due to their Mars-Mercury energy. Alexa is also a designer and singer-songwriter, with a highly unique creative vision and influential style. While in high school, Alexa created a pair of sunglasses called Mainframe, which became so popular that Nicki Minaj wore them in the “Massive Attack” music video. Alexa has said that she made them simply because she liked designing things. She also mentioned styling celebrities, which shows how her creative network within the industry has helped her grow. Chitra natives gain opportunities through their networks, as Libra (which rules Chitra) is associated with partnerships and connections, with the 7th house ruling how we relate to others. Chitra is referred to as the “star of opportunity,” and Alexa mentioned that she got her role on Euphoria through a director she had befriended beforehand.
Another observation I’ve noticed among some Chitra women is their troubled relationship with their fathers, that tends to be distant or strained, usually due to the father’s actions. Alexa Demie has shared that she wasn’t close to her father, only seeing him during family therapy visits at rehab. This pattern is also seen with other Chitra women For example, Anna Nicole Smith, a Chitra Moon and Ascendant native, didn’t meet her father until adulthood, and when she did, he tried to sleep with her, despite knowing she was his daughter. Beyoncé’s father, Matthew, was instrumental in her success as her manager, but his controlling nature and infidelity created a rift between them, ultimately leading to Beyoncé firing him as her manager and having a strained relationship for a while.

Chitra’s have a distinct sense of style, including a love for animal prints particularly cheetah print, bold patterns, and dramatic makeup, influenced by the nakshatra animal yoni the female tiger, a feline with vibrant orange fur and black stripes. They also tend to favor updos, as Chitra is associated with form and beauty. Updos are elegant and highlight the face and neck, drawing attention to these features in a way that aligns with this nakshatra aesthetic focus.
Chitras are in the process of constantly crafting their identity, much like a pearl, through patience and brilliance, as you’ll see in my examples. This mirrors their need for perfection, as pearls take time to form—slowly, with persistence. However, pearls are also formed through the irritation and pressure within the shell, which is why people with chitra placements tend to create their best work under stress. Chitra’s possess versatility and a natural flair for aesthetics, performance, and reinvention. They are multifaceted, able to embody multiple aspects of creativity that often influence both their personal and professional lives.

Sufjan Stevens | Will Anybody Ever Love Me?
Chase away my heart and heartache Run me over, throw me over, cast me out Find a river running to the west wind Just above the shoreline, you will see a cloud Tie me to a tiny wooden raft Burn my body, point me to the undertow Push me off into the void at last Watch me drift and watch me struggle, let me go Cause I really wanna know Will anybody ever love me? For good reasons, without grievance, not for sport Will anybody ever love me? In every season, pledge allegiance to my heart Pledge allegiance to my burning heart

a collection of my playlists highlighting black artists in multiple genres of music. a little late for BHM but better late than never <3 enjoy! suggestions and additions are always welcome.
black people created rock: a forever growing playlist of various sub - genres of rock made by black artists and musicians; from classic rock, pop punk, rock rap, metal, post hardcore, etc. from underground bands, popular artists experimenting with their sound, artists from other genres collaborating with rock stars, and more!
a southern gothic tale: country / folk / blues / bluegrass; there are some rap / pop songs that include country elements in them but for the most part it's what you think.
black alternative: black artists that make music outside of the expectation. alt [rnb/pop], hyperpop, indie [pop/rock], dream - pop, bedroom pop; you name it, it's probably in here.
black g!rl pvnk !: similar to my black people created rock playlist, except it's just black women. this playlist also includes rap that takes heavy inspiration from alternative subculture.
juicy fruit, certified bubble yum: [bubblegum] pop by black artists. oftentimes our music gets categorized as rnb / urban / hip hop even when it's clearly not! there's been a historical record of black music being put in the wrong categories by reviewers and the academy trying to box black music into a box. while some songs may have rnb elements, it's clear that they're classic, well-made, and respected pop songs!

motaz azaiza just posted a video of israeli officers indiscriminately shooting at civilians (and him) as they tried to run away. he and bisan and all other on-site journalists are living in a nightmare simulator just so they could be the ears and eyes of gaza—and yet we still have people who’re “considering whether this is any of their concern” “uninformed so they refuse to speak” “choosing to stay neutral.” motaz was one of the journalists who basically posted their eulogies earlier this week. this can’t get any more horrifying and dystopian. we need a ceasefire.

1:17 PM on November 15, 2023:
The #Gaza Strip is just hours away from a complete cessation of communication and internet services (irreversible), following the depletion of the necessary fuel to operate the main distributors of the network in the Strip, which are currently running on "batteries" that will be emptied within hours.
5:00 PM on November 15, 2023:
Before the communications are cut off, I have a very personal request from everyone who knows me from outside #Gaza. Please, keep spreading the word about us. Do not tire of sharing. Talk about the massacres, destruction, displacement, and starvation. Speak about every clash and tank explosion. Let the whole world remain ashamed as they witness what is happening to us and, in return, what we are doing. and Insha'Allah (if God wills), we'll return

please share Gaza is losing power once again!!!!

[ID: tweet from Yara Eid (@/yaraeid_) on november 15th, 2023 that reads: “The Palestinian telecommunication company has announced that they've run out of fuel and they are only relying on batteries that are shutting down as well. They have also announced that this will lead to complete media blackout. I am already unable to reach my mother. In the next hours l'Il lose touch with everyone in Gaza again. I won't even be able to call them intentionally as networks are cutoff. Every time they cut the telecommunications, they committed the most horrific crimes. Urge the international community to stop this blackout!!! Now! #KeepGazaConnected” End ID.]
