Only Three Days Away

It's hard to believe we're here again, but we are. Vindaloofest is just three days ago. It promises to be an insane time. Two stages, free entry, standup + improv, acoustic + hiphop, rock and roll, punk, artists from all over the Midwest, and our headliner traveling all the way from New York City.

Round #2?

We're starting to discuss putting together round #2 of Vindaloofest, making it an-every-few-months fest which could be a fun thing. There's a lot in terms of logistics to discuss and measure but just know that this is something we're currently working towards.

Last Minute Addition: Jason Wornoff

Jason was one of the first guys we met in the open mike scene of Columbus a few years ago. He's a talented musician whose recently graduated from the Ohio State University and is in the process of forming a band. Oasis tinged influence abounds. You will enjoy this guy. 5:30pm tomorrow at Vindaloofest, in Donatos Basement on High across from The Ohio State University main campus.

8 days until Vindaloofest!

The lineup is actually still expanding, we'll get the Leathersmiths instead of Whiskey Maggie, and D.Vocal and Donnell Woods have come on board.

This festival celebrates one year of Yawning Rabbit being around, whilst also playing birthday party to Sandeep and Anita of YRP as well, turning 27 and 23 respectively.

The show is free to enter, held in Donatos Basement on High. 4/19 from 5pm-1am.

Zachariah J Smith

Zachariah J Smith runs On the Wall, a local photography & promotions co. If that weren't enough, whilst also co-hosting Monday AND Wednesday open mikes at Scarlet & Grey Café, he also is a talented singer and guitarist in his own right. Zach has an eclectic set of old school and new influences, and has an awesome voice. You can catch him hosting the first half of Vindaloofest.

Local Standup Comics

All of these guys are open mike regulars, many used to hosting their own shows, and are pillars of the community. The open mike scene in Columbus Ohio is very vibrant, with at least 5 stages a week available for joke-telling, and all often packed with guys willing to hack it.

Whiskey Maggie

Whiskey Maggie is an Irish duo, guitarist and piper, whom recently formalized their alliance of Celtic fare. You can catch these guys on stages all around the city, I most recently saw them at Bernies Distillery a weekend or two ago. They always have a great time playing, and you can expect some awesome fluting, accordion, and hearty emerald isle balladeering.
