Log#8 - Looking forward for it(week 8)

We were able to submit chapter 1 and 2! But without a slight of worry since on the day of passing the chapter 1 and 2 we had a last minute change and it made us print it late. 2 of our group members had to sacrifice their time just to be able to print the papers. But all is well and ends well.

During this week was also the seminar that is connected to this subject and it is interesting even though I was assigned for backend I am also curious what UI/UX developers do. So during the Figma seminar I was just going for the fun and just did what I can from what I can understand, although there really times where I had to look it up online since there are parts where it was too fast but it should not be the presenter's problem since they are allocating their efforts to everyone. Still, it was fun and I am really looking forward on the Laravel Seminar that they said since that is my part on my group.

Log#7 - Missing Papers(week 7)

On week 7, is mostly just a discussion but the one factor that stood out that time was we haven't passed the chapter 1 that was suppose to be submitted that time. Thankfully, we already started on the contents of it, since it is a assignments that our teacher made us to do and we only need to place it into the template and do some adjustments and write the other missing parts. We also grateful since our professor allowed us to submit it next week.

Log#6 - Unexpected Quiz(week 6)

Despite that being the title it was mostly is our fault for thinking that we wont have a quiz on our face to face classes. It may have been that we might hoped too much that there wont be a quiz or it may be because that we are exhausted from the assignments last week. Still when we were at the face to face class it was then did we really realize that our teacher did said something about the quiz during our last meeting. Annnddd I guess I can't hope much but just tried to answer as many as I can.

Log#5 - Work, work, work(week 5)

Aside from the typical classes and discussions, most of what I can remember during that week was mostly assignments that its almost like it was a project for a PIT. Since aside from other subjects giving assignments here and there and there are also quizzes. The assignments that was given was much than what we expected and we were in a rush on hopefully completing the job that was given to us. There are some difficulties but we can only hope that we completed it but if there is really something that was a miss or wasn't suppose to be there then we really did try at the very end.

Log#4 - Back to work(week 4)

For this week we finally began on the discussion for this subject, learning about software engineer's way to solve problems, how they view the problems, and ethics. Though, what really got my attention was when the discussion began talking about applications that is being used by software engineers since we (as students) really do have limited knowledge what applications that is really suggested in our line of job, there are suggestions in the internet but we are not sure if it is reliable or not.

After the discussion our teacher gave us our assignments and our group held a meeting picking Google as our company of choice and youtube as its product, although its only because google bought youtube.

Log#3 - Intrams(week 3)

Nothing much has happened this week but one of our subject gave us a option to answer the bunch of assignments in advance for that subject and since its better to finish it in advance so that it wont hinder my progress with other subject so that's what I did. As for what I did for this subject(SDE) I can only read and watch videos in youtube to see how backend works, its actually more confusing for now that I haven't yet begun and I'm just hoping that it will be clear to me once I begin working on the backend. As for why I haven't yet start on working on it I was still waiting for my upcoming loptop as to not make myself setting up everything again on the new device that I will have since my younger brother will take over my previous device.

Log#2 - Projects Presentation(week 2)

In today's week we are about to present our 2 projects that we want to to take on, although we already have a project in mind that we want to take, and as you may have it, we were allowed to pick on which project we want, and all is well and done, with a great advise from our teacher and senior since there are also holes in our plan that needs to be covered. Before and after the presentation, we had a group meeting in Google Meet so that we can review everything that will and already happened, especially to the one that wasn't there in the face to face presentation due to sickness, we need to keep him up on the progress that has happened.

During this week after the presentation we held a face to face meeting, all 4 of us, to see the progress of our project. Its still the beginning and more challenges are still in the horizon and I can only hope that there won't be too much conflict in the future.

Log#1 - week 1 of Software Design and Engineering

1st day of the semester and it so happen that the first face to face class that I have is the SDE(Software Design and Engineering). I was shocked for the sudden work that was place upon us but I should also have expected it at the very least. But it doesn't compare to the shock of my mother of why I was not home despite it to be late(since its still a 1 hour travel home), the reason is that I still haven't gave her my sched due to the schedule still bound to be changing. I mitigate the problem by just sending a quick photo of me still in class and the problem was solved. PS. its just a quick photo soo not necessary to smile

Moving on, our group then held a online meeting to discuss how we are going to move forward in the project that we planned during the face to face meeting. There are some conflicts and also agreements about the topic that we have, still it gave us a deeper insight on the possible outcome in the future. I was then assigned for the Backend : Laravel part of our project since I was taking into account of my changing of device in the future. Due the discussion that we have, I accidently forgot to take a screenshot of our meeting and then have no choice but to ask help from my groupmate Ralph Emprestito who has a screenshot of our meeting with me on it. I asked for his permission and all is well.
