Tell me more about th slums!

The Outer City alone is extremely crammed and underfunded. Even outside the slums the Outer City is just better living trying to "store" droids and lower class citizens as cost effectively as they can. The company barely views the people who live in these areas as actual people; every service is run by automated low grade droids and anyone with an issue or complaint is likely to never even have the chance to raise it with a human person let alone an actual company official. The Outer City may house the majority of the Battery City populus, but it is so fundementally and culturally distanced from the Inner City that it's barely believable that they are only half a mile or so from each other.

The Slums, then, are the most ignored and poverty-stricken areas of the Battery. They are near exclusively inhabited by droids - the company recognises useful potential and the dangerous ability to free think of every human citizen, but droids can easily be written off as objects created by the company, posing no threat and having no life-dependent needs other than Plus, of which they are expected to attain for themselves. The Slums are the only area of the City where there is huge unemployment - mostly due to old models of droids being cast out for newer ones. This area of the City is characterised by huge imposing buildings, casting such shadows that daylight barely reaches the pavement, and a layer of grime over the standard Better Living white roads turning them dark grey. There are very few of the neon capitalistic high streets throughout the rest of the Battery in the Slums, and no plant life or public transport. It is simply made of huge bare minimum "apartments" with homeless droids scattered through the filthy street.
