in hindsight I actually think the Birds of Prey movie got Helena a little more right than I thought they did, because a solid half of Huntress: Year One is just Helena being blunt and rude and a little off-putting and generally threatening powerful men into doing what she wants them to do

Directors have issues making someone the bad guy without making them SA or rape someone

Take for instance Birds of Prey, they could have made Roman a bad guy without that SA scene. He literally killed a family for money, that was pretty fucking evil. He was going to gut a kid for fucks sake, he DID gut a kid.

Stop with the whole SA bad guy trope it’s unnecessary and fucking triggering for so many people. And honestly it’s bad writing.

Look, I can understand where Birds of Prey had its flaws, but it still was an enjoyable movie and I don't really get the hate even to this day.

I do feel like the main storyline should have made it a solo Harley film (because that shit would have gone hard) because although there was a slow setup of the actual group itself, we never really got to see much depth from the other characters.

But despite that, I did love the way it was done. Margot and crew did really good. I mean, look at the costume design, the soundtrack, the set designs, the props! So much went into that movie and I don't think anyone really appreciates that.

It's a shame we won't get a follow up.

Disappointed With Genshin...

I just watched the Natlan teaser and I am SO disappointed—but not surprised—because of the designs of the new playable characters like the hydro one would have looked MUCH better if she had a darker skin tone like that would have matched her outfit more imo (contrast is nice sometimes). Also, isn't Natlan supposed to be based on Latin America and some parts of Africa (maybe West Africa idk), if so then why aren't there more people of color??? it just doesn't make sense and atp I'm starting to believe that they are afraid of diversity even if it makes the game better (more realistic + WAY more prettier in design and aesthetic + adds to the atmosphere of the region + more rep). Like this isn't even a representation or a colorist problem anymore, the characters designs IN GENERAL would have looked much better if these characters weren't that pale imo, they just don't feel like THE Natlan characters you know. There is no way this could make sense. No excuse they—or their fans—can come up with will make this make sense. None. #ColumbinaPleaseSaveUs #HOYOVERSEDoBetterPlease lol.

Oh what we could have had... They love your culture, your art, your aesthetics, your spirit, your stories, your homes and lands and the rich history they hold, but they do not love you. I also want to mention that I wouldn't have posted this if I didn't adore the game, the lore (because I'm intrested in gnosticism) and the characters and wanted it to improve so... yeah.

Ignoring the fact that the areas around Volcanos can be some of the most colorful areas in the world, I'm begging some people to consider how bad it sounds when you say Natlan should have been an uninhabitable wasteland. Like I realise it's not their intent, but the 'black and brown people should be living in a fiery hellscape' is wrong on so many levels
