    To reach the surface only to be greeted by one of their banishers only a few short weeks later left an awful taste in the monster’s mouth. It wasn’t hard for her to remember any of their faces - in fact, it was quite the opposite. 

She didn’t know any of their names or who they were as people, but that hardly mattered to her currently. No, what mattered now was the increasing anger she felt. 

“ Now in this twilight, how dare you speak of grace ? “ 

⥛ | His intention had not been to end up where he was now---the surface home of the monsters. In fact, just a short while ago, he’d had no idea where he’d ended up. Spatial magic was a tricky thing, after all, and hard to predict at times.

⥛ | But now he knew. And an overwhelming sense of guilt began to eat at him. Not that he wasn’t already used to it.

⥛ | He hadn’t meant to upset the Queen. He was merely thinking aloud. But it’s quite clear his presence is making her agitated. He did his best to appear neutral and polite without being apathetic.
