I don’t even care if it’s macaroni, ramen or those little bowls you stick in the microwave. Please, I need reassurance that most of the population on tumblr WOULDN’T STARVE TO DEATH if their parents couldn’t fix them food or they couldn’t go out to eat.
Ik we haven’t been on here in ages but if anyone who follows is an anti-theist (NOT atheists y’all are cool I’m talking about the people who act like all religions are evangelical Christianity and get weirdly anti-semetic about it) please unfollow and block us lol thanks
Honestly, society has lost something unbearable when they started putting ads on “Never Gonna Give You Up”. It used to be you clicked a link, and you heard that synth music and you just groaned. Nowadays, you see a link, go, “that might be Rick Astley”, then you click it, Youtube plays an ad for dog food and you see below that is indeed Rick Astley. You go, “ah, yes, that was indeed a link to that music video. Do I feel like watching the video today or not? Probably not, but I have the entire ad time to decide”. It’s essentially a global “do you really want to get Rickrolled?” filter.
This is really one of the best and most important reasons for using an adblocker: So you can get the proper rickroll experience. Here are some good ones for your platform.
Those who have unusual or highly specific triggers. Who weren't traumatized by abuse. Or who were traumatized by abuse, but not in the "beaten half to death" way people think. Who aren't sure if they're allowed to call what happened to them terms like assault, trauma, or abuse. Who gained trauma from the things that seem so little to everyone else, but were a big deal to you. Who had people who cared about them, but couldn't provide them with what they needed. Who watched their caretakers fall short. Who are triggered into rage, delusions, or otherwise "strange" reactions by triggers instead of breakdowns. Who have difficulty eating. Who hoard or are excessively minimalist. Who suffer from intrusive thoughts. Who remember the details of their trauma at the worst possible time. Who can't trust those around them even when those around them are kind. Who got trauma from the ignorance of those around or discrimination directed at them. Who don't know what they want to do in life because they didn't think they'd get this far.
Not having trauma that perfectly fits the conventional mold can make you feel alone. But you're not. There are people out there who have gone through similar things and understand. There are opportunities out there for you to recover and find a life where you're satisfied. Trauma is hard to face, especially when it's not what people expect, but you're not a bad person for having "weird" trauma.
Life was tough on you. Don't join its side and help beat yourself down.
@vicroc4 poor behavior? poor behavior? NOTHING about what OP said is poor behavior. A little strange and outside the norm, but nothing wrong with it. In fact, it helps autistic people function better and live happier, fuller lives without harming others at all. The only one showing poor behavior here is you acting like autistic people even need an excuse to have harmless differences. I’m gonna exposure therapy you into not getting burned when you put your hand on a lit stove smh
@bagheadchronicles deactivated their blog so I can’t go off on them too but lmao “like a sane person” as if that’s the goal of coping mechanisms. The point isn’t to force yourself to function like a neurotypical person, the point is to live a happy life while doing no harm to anyone else (which these two fuckwads sure aren’t achieving).
I wish neurotypicals understood that autistic traits aren’t just a series of bad habits to get over. That the reason I stim or the reason I don’t make eye contact 24/7 or don’t like certain textures of things on clothing or any of that deals is how my brain is simply wired to work. Its not just something you can simply supress over time and not end up mentally stressed trying to mask yourself constantly.
