i didn't like how this comic turned out so i'm not going finish it but here's the whole thing !

This is a redraw of a very old drawing but I remember that my line of thought was "if Remus can rip off his ears can he rip off other parts of his body?"

like sure, maybe there's stuff we haven't found out about yet, but as of right now, i feel like virgil's deep hatred of janus actually has nothing to do with janus at all, and everything to do with virgil's hatred of his past self. and his past in general. in his mind, he's reducing janus as a side down to a representation, a symbol of everything he wants to forget about. it's pretty simple: as long as he can perceive janus as an unquestionable evil, he doesn't have to consider the actual complexity of what he did by leaving them.

and i think janus understands all of that, which is why the hatred is mutual. not only is it "you left me", it's also "you left me, and are now using me to absolve yourself of any responsibility. you left me for something better, and are now fighting to deny me that same better. you can't even give me the dignity to hate me like you mean it, you just hate me on principle alone."

and i think that janus' most closely guarded secret, the one that keeps him up at night, the one that makes him physically sick to even think about, is that despite all of that, he still wants virgil back.

Janus Week Day 4 - Name Reveal

For @darksideweeks Janus' week! I've had the draft thumbnails for this comic sitting pretty for three years and today's prompt was PERFECT for me to blow off the dust and actually draw it!

(I have many ideas of how Janus shared his name with Remus but this is by far the funniest.)

ok, so i’m crocheting each of the sides as animals cause i can and i’ve just finished the first one and wanted to share :)

janus as a snake (obviously)

the lighting is different but the stretched out one is closer to the actual color

Janus and Virgil being in a secret relationship throughout the entire series and only pretending to hate each other, Virgil is the one that wants it t be hidden cuz he doesn’t think everyone will react right and stuff, Janus hides it cuz he thinks it’s hot funny and likes the idea of doing a big reveal/silly
