Some of the tweeks are made by me according to my own head canons, so it ain't 120% accurate. (Except the missing quills on the back, there's 3 sets not two, fully my mistake that I just didn't see before and don't really have the time to fix it)

Oh, this definitely happened. Multiple times with multiple people. Sonic's been heroing for way longer than we think he has.

Since Sonic was always usually following Tom around before they met, do you think he looked out for Tom too? Tom’s on a ladder cleaning out one of his neighbor’s gutters, reaches too far, feels the ladder wobble and tip back. He’s about to fall, he knows he’s about to fall, making a desperate grab for the roof and missing, and then suddenly he’s not. The ladder is fine. Leaning against the house like nothing happened. Tom’s heart is still racing, but he chalks it up to luck. Maybe he did reach the roof. Maybe he blinked and missed it. He doesn’t know about his little blue supersonic guardian angel watching from the tree line.

This scene gets absolutely slept on because Tom gets hurt right after, but oh my God, that poor kid. Just being held helpless like that? What must have been going through his head right then? Fanfic writers where the fuck are you?!

Imagine being the fastest thing alive, and being alone in a cave for so long, but you finally found a family.

Imagine being the fastest thing alive, and you and your said family found themselves glued to the floor, and you couldn't move your feet, your legs. You just couldn't move at all. Except your hand. Barely.

Imagine being the fastest thing alive, and you see chunks of concrete being pulled from above, preparing to smash against the floor, where your family is, and you can't move.

Imagine being the fastest thing alive, and you can't move your legs and all you can do is reach out your hand to your family, who seemed so close yet so far away, and is about to get crushed by concrete.

Sonic, of course, saved his family from the concrete boulder, thankfully, but I often think about the moment before he saved him.

Despite being stuck onto the floor, it didn't stop Sonic from curling into a ball, managed to dash off from the high gravity floor with a burst of speed, and smashed the boulder to bits to save his family. He was not ready to witness another family member get injured, or worse.

He was not ready to lose another family again. He won't. He's not going to let it happen. He lost Longclaw, he's not gonna lose anyone else. And because of his will to make sure it won't happen, he managed to get unstuck and save them.

Everything about the small little moment with Sonic drives me insane watching the movie a second time. And you wanna know why?

Because someone close to him got hurt anyways.

Then in movie 4 when Amy is introduced, someone calls her 'pink Sonic' and her response is "It's Mrs Sonic, actually." Then Sonic's the one not laughing.

Looking for Sonamy fic recs!

I'm looking for high-quality, completed, Sonamy fics. Au's are ok as long as they aren't humans or gender swapped or something so off the wall that they're basically ocs with the names Sonic and Amy just slapped on. I want fics where they are reasonably in character. Spiciness not required, I'm all about plot and character interaction, but it's not a deal breaker either.

Ya know, I wondered about that. It seemed off to me that he would act so comfortable about being left and neither Tom or Maddie seemed particularly worried about how he'd feel about it. Tom talked about being worried that he had no friends but didn't worry about him being alone for apparently the first time? I wish there had at least been a line from Tom like "Are you SURE you're ok with this? Rachel hates me anyway, I can still skip out just say the word." And Sonic's all "Dude, I was alone for 10 years in a cave, I can do 48 hours in a nice house with wifi."

And then they could have turned it into a cute running gag where they're texting each other like:

Tom: You ok? You cried yet?

Sonic: How can I miss you if you won't leave me alone?

Tom: Seriously, if you need me I can be there in 6 seconds.

Sonic: Are you sure I'M the one with separation anxiety? You've been gone less than an hour.

Tom: i know you well enough to notice you looked nervous when we left

Sonic: Lies. I was the very picture of dignity and grace.

Tom: I just want to make sure you're ok

Sonic: I'd be more than ok if you Doordashed me a pizza right now.

Of every great thing in the Prequill comic, this part stuck out to me nearly the most.

Abandonment issues. Plain and clear. Kid can't last seven minutes alone without people after finally getting adopted. After being alone and isolated for ten years. 🥲

"Crushing loneliness" is what he calls it (albeit while in denial).

The novelisation of the second movie plays around with this a little, too. Obviously, we saw him behave seemingly just fine for hours on end after Tom & Maddie left for Hawaii—heck, he threw a party. 🤣 But according to the book, he was nervous during the entire send-off scene, and had to inwardly reassure himself that they were going to come back, that he wouldn't be left alone again. Someone pointed out how even though this isn't outright said in the film, Sonic's expression and smile still look rather strained and forced as he's giving them the ring to use for the return trip. 🥺💔

Needless to say, I'm glad my lonely little boy finally has a family who loves him very much. 🥹💙💛❤️

Can you imagine stepping on one of those quills? It's probably like stepping on an electric lego.

Yeah, yeah, Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles are absolutely baby and adorable living with the Wachowskis basically adopted and treated like family.

But, wait until those kids start shedding. Then it won't be cute anymore.

The next Sonic movie or TV series gonna have arm & hammer pet products

Speaking of gushing. That first pic where he's in the window sill, look at how soft his expression is. He's looking at Tom and Maddie. He loves them so much and doesn't even know yet that he's going to get to have them as parents. I'm dying.

I still can't get over how freaking SMALL Sonic was in the 1st movie.

I know that for production purposes, they used the height of his original design after they redesigned him, which is why his height is noticeably different in the sequel versus the first since they used a updated model.

But the inner-fan in me loves to think that he just got a random growth spurt in between films, and he is in a major babey height, perfect for carrying around and giving lots of hugs to.

Collided my fandoms and got a headcanon out of it

So I was drawing Yakko, and I like to put the Warners in street clothes when I do. I wound up putting him in a Taylor Swift t-shirt since I'm a Swiftie and that's what I was listening to while drawing and it led to the following headcanon:

Wakko can not pick Taylor out of a lineup to save his life. Complete disinterest.

Dot is an extremely casual fan. Has a few songs on her Playlist, but no more than any other popular artist. Doesn't follow her personal life at all.

Yakko is a mega-Swiftie. Knows every word to every song, who each song is about, knows the lore, collects the vinyls to mount on the wall, goes to concerts, the whole deal. Dot once dared Wakko to misquote the line "It feels like the perfect night to dress up as hipsters" as "It feels like the perfect night to dress up as Hitler" and Wakko's response was "No thank you, I'd like to *live*"

I said 'other' but really it's a combination of the reboot with the original. Basically, I like what the reboot did with them from the neck up, but hate what they did with them from the neck down. So I picture the reboot head on the original body. Like this:

Scratchy is a psychologist. If the Warners acted normal they wouldn't need one. Going out of their way to annoy him keeps him in their lives. They don't seem to have anyone else, so why wouldn't they do what it takes to keep him even if it pisses him off sometimes. They probably figure a mad Scratchy is better than no Scratchy.
