Soooooo... it's been a hot minute since I posted here, hasn't it?

Don't worry! I haven't given up on VRChat. In fact, I've been far more active there than I've ever been. I just hadn't found the creative spark yet that I needed in order to put my avatar to good use. That has changed earlier this week.

In a few days, I'll have something very special to show you. It's possibly the most ambitious video I've put together so far, and I think you'll really love it.

Just a few days ago, Jar introduced a new VRChat game world: Audience Anarchy. It's an improv-esque game where actors have to perform a script that's filled in madlibs-style by the audience. For my first ever gig on the stage, I got to be a game show host, and the end result was... interesting, to say the least.

As you can probably tell from the prompts and the heckling in the background, the audience's sense of humor wasn't exactly refined. But hey, that's VRChat for ya! xD

(If you're wondering why the video looks slightly askew, it's because this was recorded off of an in-world TV monitor.)

For context: I was hanging out in a public group instance of the Midnight Bar and ended up making a bunch of friends, with some of them having complimented my voice. One of them asked if I could say something funny, so I recited a copypasta somebody posted on a Discord server I'm in.

You'll probably have noticed that things have been a bit quiet here, and certain photos had been deleted from this blog. See, it turned out that I wasn't quite satisfied with the shading on the avatar, so I got into the weeds of the avatar SDK and tinkered with the shaders on the materials in order to achieve a more toon-like aesthetic. New pictures will surface here in due time.

In the meantime, I have a few videos of me in the avatar recorded by a friend. You can expect to see them posted here within the next few days.
