Chris: Three Men in a Boat is a British tv movie drama with Tim Curry and Michael Palin, based on a novel but quite dry if not vapid, and failed to capture me, may interest Curry fans so Watch: When Free.

Chris: Deadly Hands of Kung Fu aka The Dragon Lives Again is a martial arts / comedy / fantasy from Hong Kong about Bruce Lee in Hell running into Dracula, James Bond, Popeye the Sailor, and others, low budget but fun, Watch: When Free.

Chris: The Return of Dr. Mabuse is the West German sequel to The Hands of Dr. Mabuse including actors from the previous film, about Dr. Mabuse brainwashing criminals, the copy I saw was badly in need of a restoration and probably because so it bored me, so only for Mabuse fans, Watch: When Free.

Chris: Heavy Metal is a British 1981 fantasy / sci-fi anthology animated film, voice work includes several actors from SCTV, the film is now a bit dated but significant, Watch: When Free.

Richie: Every time I see I still think it is weird, it is an animation classic, it just goes off in all sorts of directions, Watch: When Free.

Chris: Heads of State is an action / comedy with Idris Elba and John Cena, about an assassin after the UK prime minister and the US president, the film works despite low plausibility and kept my attention, Watch: On Subscription Service.

Richie: This was a very silly movie, it had a couple of effect shots that were not very good but it was still entertaining, Watch: On Subscription Service.

Chris: Race with the Devil is a 1975 horror film with Peter Fonda, Lara Parker, and Loretta Swit, about two couples on vacation in a camper and they run into a nightmare, a classic vacation horror film, Watch: When Free.

Richie: This was a campy horror film about a cocktail party on wheels that runs into an evil cult, Watch: When Free.

Chris: Fantastic Four: First Steps is a Marvel superhero film and a fresh and new one at that, one of the better Marvel films in years with a good story and effects, and it felt like it had the right feel and scope for a feature film, Watch: Rent sometime soon, otherwise Watch: Theatre.

Richie: This was Marvel’s best film in many years, very entertaining, can’t wait for a sequel, Watch: Buy / Watch: Theatre.

Chris: The Diabolical Dr. Z is a b/w French horror film about a mad doctor with a hobby for human experimentation and how his daughter carries out his work using killer poisonous steel fingernails, visually interesting with some interesting scenes, Watch: When Free.

Chris: The Life of Chuck is a drama / fantasy with Tom Hiddleston, it was well made with a good cast and based on a Stephen King story but the artificiality of the story telling, the gimmick, didn’t thrill me and the film seemed long, so it seems overrated, Watch: When Free.

Richie: It was ok but not great, I would have enjoyed it more if everything was shown sequentially, this one didn’t work too well for me, Watch: When Free.

Chris: Jurassic World: Rebirth is the latest Jurassic Park dino film, this one with no previous actors from the franchise, not many dinosaurs and this one bored me, Watch: When Free.

Richie: It just didn’t feel fresh, it was not a bad movie but it did not feel fresh, it felt like the slowest film in the franchise, Watch: When Free.

Chris: Rectuma is a horror / comedy about a man’s behind that separates from his body and kills people, until it is enlarged to kaiju size, a wonderful delight, if only it was a Carry On film, don’t miss this feces-covered gem, Watch: When Free.

Richie: It had some very lovely songs, it’s very silly but fun, Watch: When Free.

Chris: Dead Talents Society is a horror / comedy from Taiwan about ghosts training to become more successful at spooking, amusing, Watch: On Subscription Service.

Richie: I thought it was fun, kept me amused throughout the entire movie, Watch: On Subscription Service.

Chris: Carry on Emmanuel is a British comedy in the Carry On series with Kenneth Williams, and we see quite a bit of him in this film as he is often disrobed, about a married French nymphomaniac and her disinterested husband, one of the more lewd Carry On films so best for fans of the series, Watch: When Free.

Chris: Blue Velvet is a crime / drama by David Lynch, it is about a descent into a small town’s seedy and criminal side seen by a hardware store worker, it gets quite weird and frightening mainly due to Dennis Hopper’s performance, considered to be a classic and a precursor to Twin Peaks, first time I saw this it scared the crap out of me, Watch: When Free.

Chris: The Indian Tomb is a German drama / adventure film directed by Fritz Lang, it is about a German architect hired to build a tomb for a living princess who is planned to left to die in the tomb after it is completed, so they run away together with his relatives coming to India to find him, odd seeing a German / Indian film, Watch: When Free.

Chris: The Singing Ringing Tree is an East German fantasy film based on a Grimm fairy tale, cast of characters includes a demonic dwarf, a big intelligent fish, and a bear man, low budget, colorful, a couple of odd practical effects, but not much else, thankfully a short film, would interest fairy tale enthusiasts, Watch: When Free.

Richie: I guess the fish was nice, very much made for children, I did not find it too interesting, Avoid.

Chris: War of the Worlds is a 2025 remake of the HG Wells novel with Ice Cube and it is utter crap, totally to be avoided, 90 minutes of 3 second brief scenes seemed cheap, without any value, and headache producing, Avoid.

Richie: I was looking forward to it and it was a torture to get through, every minute of that film was painful, Avoid.
