#WeCanDoIt
Tumblr media
For an issue that affects 75 million people in our country, our conversations and perception around mental health are almost non-existent. From being shrugged off as a ‘phase’ that someone is going through to being blamed for ‘not having the will and courage to face life’ – the stigma and lack of understanding around mental health prevents many from getting the right help and a support system. The Mental Health Bill, passed in the Rajya Sabha is also not as ‘historic’ and ‘progressive’ as one might think.
More than 60 million Indians suffer from mental disorders; 10-20 million have severe mental disorders like schizophrenia and bipolar disorder while nearly 50 million have been facing depression and anxiety.
In 1990, suicide was not among the top 10 killers in India. Today, sadly, it is. In 5 years (2015-2020), over 7 lakh people committed suicide. India has three psychiatrists per 1,000,000 people. 0.06% of India’s health budget is for mental healthcare.
Task in Hand
You, as an entrepreneur, must grasp the opportunity to solve the issue. Come up with a business (product or service) that caters to solve the problem faced by people suffering from such mental disorders.
Deliverables
You are to make a PPT of not more than 7 slides, including but not limited to the following:
Executive Summary
Operational and Phase Wise Implementation Plan
Marketing Campaign
Financials (Fund Allocation and Revenue Generation Estimates)
Extra Deliverables

Camp-a-cola
Tumblr media
Campa Cola was the pioneer of the Indian soft drink industry. It was a market leader in the Indian soft drink market in the 1970s and 1980s in most regions of India until the advent of the foreign players Pepsi and Coca-Cola in the 90s after the liberalization policy. Following the return of foreign corporations to the soft drink market in the 1990s, the popularity of Campa Cola declined. In 2000–2001, its bottling plant and offices in Delhi were closed. In 2009 a small amount of product was still being bottled in the state of Haryana but the drink was hard to find.
The brand's slogan was "The Great Indian Taste", an appeal to nationalism. It subsequently marketed an orange flavored drink called 'Campa Orange', with the logo "Campa" on its bottles. During the 1980s, Campa Orange and Rush were the two main orange soft drinks in India, with large bottling plants in Mumbai (Worli) and Delhi.
In 2022, Campa Cola was acquired by Reliance Industries for Rs 22 crores. The acquisition of Campa Cola is said to be part of a bid by Reliance Industries to expand its FMCG business. Those plans were set out by Isha Ambani, director of Reliance Retail Ventures, at the company’s recent AGM.
Task in Hand
You need to develop the re-launch of Campo-Cola to the Indian market. You must come up with a new product line for the brand and strategies to penetrate into the market despite the presence of multiple Indian and International beverage brands available in the market. Remember while pitching to Ms. Ambani, that you will be crafting the beginning of a potentially massive FMCG business of Reliance Industries.
Be ready with your presentations by 11:15 AM, today.

Innovate it up, your mind!
Tumblr media
An entrepreneur is many things including someone who is open to new ideas and is creative. It is a fact that 9/10 start-ups fail. Why? Because a very optimistic entrepreneur needs a dose of reality now and then. Ideas that may be creative are not necessarily feasible as well, when entrepreneurs push aside the feasibility aspects of a business is when most start-ups fail even before they launch. A good product idea and a strong technical team are not a guarantee of a sustainable business. One should not ignore the business process and issues of a company because it is not their job. It can eventually deprive them of any future in that company.
A lot of factors come into play while starting a new business including the idea, the capital, the timing, the marketing, the plan and the execution. The key point to understand is that the majority of start-ups do not have a huge initial capital budget and hence are majorly restricted financially.
Task in Hand
You as an entrepreneur have to come up with an innovative idea keeping the cost of production per unit of the commodity under 100 INR. The product must aim at solving one of many issues that people face in their day-to-day lives. There is no restriction on the industry that can be chosen.
Deliverables
You have to prepare a tangible prototype of your product along with a minute-long elevator pitch. No report or PPT is required.
Be ready with your presentations by 11:15 PM, today.

Re:Style
Tumblr media
Hyundai Motor Company has launched the third annual iteration of “Re:Style,” an upcycling fashion project that uses materials discarded during the automobile manufacturing process and illuminates the company’s sustainable enterprise beyond the automotive industry.
The Re:Style 2021 is launched in Seoul and Paris by partnering with fashion select shops L’Eclaireur and Boontheshop. The unique collaboration involving the three companies highlights Hyundai Motor’s ever-growing commitment to eco-friendly manufacturing, creative outside collaboration and engagement with the environmentally conscious consumers. In particular, Hyundai Motor’s partnerships with L’Eclaireur and Boontheshop reflect the two fashion companies’ shared commitment to eco-friendly production and offering of easily accessible and wearable fashion items.
The Re:Style 2021 collection focuses on ‘one mile wear’, which is comfortable but stylish unisex indoor clothes that you can wear within a one-mile radius of your home including sweatshirts, hoodies, shorts, and jogger pants.
The collection is aimed at conscious fashionistas from the millennial and Gen Z, who prefer ‘kind consumption’ and luxury goods that are not too heavy or damaging to the environment. The collection comprises 12 different items and there will only be 300 pieces available to buy.
Hyundai Motor Company continues its dedication to facilitate the ‘progress for humanity,’ its brand vision and objective,” said Thomas Schemera, Global Chief Marketing Officer and Head of the Customer Experience Division of Hyundai Motor Company. They are stepping up collaborations steadily with various industries around the world to usher in a sustainable future.
The Re:Style 2021 is one of them, and this project serves as a focal point for young consumers worldwide to understand the impact of manufacturing leftover materials on our shared environment and how it can creatively and practically reutilize them. At both the online and offline shops of L’Eclaireur and Boontheshop, twelve fashion items comprising track jackets, sweatshirts, zip-up hoodies, short pants and long pants are on sale in limited quantities.
For this year’s Re:Style, leftover materials from car manufacturing, such as airbags and seatbelts, have been used. In addition, eco-friendly materials incorporated into the Hyundai IONIQ 5, such as Bio PET and recycled fibers, were also used, enhancing wearability and demonstrating the potential for utilizing bio materials in fashion and beyond.
Task in Hand
As a strategic consultant to Hyundai, you are to develop and market the brand strategically, pushing its reach all around the world.
Deliverables
You are to make a PPT of not more than 10 slides, including but not limited to the following:
Phase Wise Implementation Plan
Global Sales and Location Strategy
Pricing Strategy and Model
Customer Acquisition and Growth Strategies
Supply Chain Model
Brand Ambassador and Related Campaign

Food for thought
Tumblr media
The conventional way of how businesses worked back in the day to how they are now are poles apart in almost every aspect. Previously, the success of the business would be measured by the bottom line, profits. However, with rising awareness, and irresponsible exploitation of nature, profits are just a factor now. Now, business success is measured with a concept of a triple bottom line, where social and environmental factors are considered along with economic ones.
Triple bottom line thinking holds that a company should combine standard metrics of financial success with those that measure environmental stewardship and social justice. It is sometimes called the 3P approach -- People, Planet and Profits. In each case it requires thinking in three dimensions, not one.
Although the phrase was coined over 25 years ago, the triple bottom line approach, it still is hardly in practice due to the complications and conflicts of interests in the plan. While some big business houses feel triple bottom line is a far fetched idea, an unrealistic dream and impossible to balance, some are doing it.
For example- DHL — By their very nature, shipping companies are large consumers of oil and gasoline. After all, those packages don’t move themselves. DHL is taking shipping back-to-the-basics, enacting a revolutionary delivery program to illustrate that shipping can be more efficient. How? They now use couriers on bicycles in many European countries, including Germany and the Netherlands. DHL estimates that this change alone will reduce their carbon dioxide emissions by 152 metric tons per year. In doing so, they cut down on the express profits, maybe even lose edge over competitors in Europe but its for the environment and the society at the end of the day.
When it comes to furniture and home goods, a heavy plastic or wood dominant industry, leaders like Ikea have been adopting and planning on this triple bottom line. In 2016, a year when the company sold over $37 billion in goods, it saved $1 million by recycling waste into its products. It has created a goal of sending zero waste to landfills globally, and 98% of its home furnishing materials are already made of renewables. This makes sense not just from a sustainability standpoint, but from a cost reduction one.
One of the challenges that companies with this approach face is how best to measure the "people" and "planet" aspects of their bottom line. They must consider what metrics to include. For example, when it comes to the planet, a company's impact spans its greenhouse gas emissions, its energy usage, its water consumption, how much waste it sends to landfills, and even how the end product it creates is discarded. Profit can be measured in dollars, for example, but is there really an ethical way to measure sustainability or employee morale in monetary units?
Food Retail Industry
The world’s growing hunger is expanding food retail’s carbon footprint. Once again, the ever-growing population levels across the globe have led to an increase in food consumption. Shamefully, we’re wasting more food than ever before. In fact, 1.9 million tonnes of food is wasted every year in the UK. One of the most harmful features of supermarkets, and other food retailers, is the packaging waste that it produces. There has been research suggesting that 800,000 tonnes of plastic waste a year come from retailers alone. This would be enough waste to cover the whole of Greater London to a depth of 2.5cm. What does this do to our wildlife?
Globally 100,000 marine mammals die every year as a result of plastic pollution.
It’s estimated that 56% of the planet’s whale, dolphin and porpoise species have consumed plastic.
After ingesting microplastics, seals (and other animals) may suffer for months or years before they die.
Sea animals often eat microplastics that contain toxic chemicals, which can increase the chance of disease and affect reproduction.
Task in Hand
You are a relatively new startup that operates in the following industry. Come up with a product and a way to operate the process, from procurement of raw materials to the delivery of the final goods that has the perfect balance amongst these three factors, profits, the people and the environment.
Deliverables
You are to make a B-Plan Report and a PPT of not more than 10 slides, including but not limited to the following:

InFractural Heritage
Tumblr media
Bishop Cotton School, Shimla, (Himachal Pradesh, India) is one of the oldest boarding schools for boys in Asia, having been founded on 28 July 1859, by Bishop George Edward Lynch Cotton. Bishop Cotton also founded the Bishop Cotton school, Nagpur. Not to be confused with, the Bishop Cotton Boys' School and Bishop Cotton Girls' School in Bangalore which are founded by Rev. S.T. Pettigrew. The alumni of Bishop Cotton School, Shimla are known as Old Cottonians. Bishop Cotton School, Shimla celebrated 150 years of existence in 2009.
The school has produced numerous Army Officers, Ambassadors, Judges, Ministers and Politicians like General Dyer, Ruskin Bond, Ratan Tata, Montek Singh Aluwalia, etc. Heritage is deemed to mean those buildings, artifacts, structures, areas and precincts that are of historic, aesthetic, architectural or cultural significance and should include natural features within such areas or precincts of environmental significance or scenic beauty such as sacred groves, hills, hillocks, water bodies (and the areas adjoining the same), open areas, wooded areas, etc. It must be recognized that the 'cultural landscape' around a heritage site is critical for the interpretation of the site and its built heritage and thus is very much its integral part.
Being declared as a heritage site by the Govt. of Himachal Pradesh, the school, although still considered as one of India’s best boarding schools, needs some infrastructural renovations and needs to be preserved as a heritage site.
Task in Hand
As the head of Robinson Constructions, you have to preserve the heritage building and organize a press conference in the school with the notable aluminis.

Expo 2030
Tumblr media
World Expos, officially known as International Registered Exhibitions, are a global gathering of nations dedicated to finding solutions to pressing challenges of our time by offering a journey inside a universal theme through engaging and immersive activities. World Expos welcome tens of millions of visitors, allow countries to build extraordinary pavilions and transform the host city for years to come.
The first World Expo – the Great Exhibition – took place in London in 1851. The concept became popular and was repeated across the globe, demonstrating an unparalleled power of attraction and a record of world-class legacies. Since the BIE (The International Bureau of Expositions) was created in 1928 to regulate and oversee these mega-events, World Expos have explicitly been organized around a theme that attempts to improve humankind’s knowledge, takes into account human and social aspirations and highlights scientific, technological, economic and social progress.
In the modern era, World Expos are unrivaled among international events in their size, scale, duration and visitor numbers. They are large-scale platforms for education and progress that serve as a bridge between governments, companies, international organizations, and citizens. The World Expo 2020 is currently taking place in Dubai, hosted by the United Arab Emirates from 1 October 2021 to 31 March 2022. Originally scheduled for 20 October 2020 to 10 April 2021, it was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The theme of the Expo is "Connecting Minds, Creating the Future". The expo also has three subthemes: opportunity, mobility and sustainability.
The forthcoming World Expo, Expo 2025 will be held in Osaka, Japan for a period of 6 months in the year 2025. This will be the third time Osaka hosts a World Expo, having previously hosted Expo 1970 and Expo 1990. The projected visitor count is approximately 28 million. The theme for the expo is "Designing Future Society for Our Lives", with sub-themes of "Saving Lives", "Empowering Lives" and "Connecting Lives".
Task in Hand
You, as an entrepreneur, have to pitch to the BIE to host the Expo 2030 in India. Other countries like Russia, South Korea, Italy, Ukraine, and Saudi Arabia have already submitted bids to hold the event. You must come up with a report that distinguishes you from the rest and enables you to host the World Expo 2030. Plan for the future, in accordance with where India will be in 2030.

SpiceJet's Dubai-Madurai flight was delayed on Monday after the Boeing B737 Max aircraft's nose wheel malfunctioned, Directorate General of Civil Aviation officials said.
Monday's incident is at least the ninth incident of technical malfunction in a SpiceJet aircraft in 24 days.
On July 6, the DGCA issued a show-cause notice to SpiceJet following eight incidents of technical malfunction in its aircraft since June 19. The aviation regulator said the budget carrier had "failed" to establish safe, efficient and reliable air services. The engineer therefore decided to ground the aircraft, the officials noted.
The airline sent another aircraft from Mumbai to Dubai to operate the return Dubai-Madurai flight, they stated.
Asked about the matter, a SpiceJet spokesperson said, "On July 11, 2022, SpiceJet flight SG23 operating from Dubai to Madurai was delayed due to a last minute technical issue. Alternate aircraft was arranged immediately which brought passengers back to India."

E-Vent-i-Lation (EDxMKT)
Tumblr media
Making art is, annoyingly, only a tiny part of being an artist. Networking to find clients, promoting your art and chasing down payments make up the everyday realities of being a creative professional.
If you’ve come to the realization that you can’t do it all on your own—or you feel like your art career development has hit a plateau and could use a little professional muscle–you might want to consider hiring an art agent.
An artist agent is any professional who works on behalf of an artist to represent, promote, and sell their work. In many ways, they represent the business interests of the artist, whether by pursuing individual sales, licensing deals, publicity, or opportunities like teaching, events, or commissions for artists.
Not just the academic courses but students across India are learning unique extracurricular activities at home. The online market has extended the demand for such courses.
The extracurricular market is projected to reach $5.8 billion in India in 2021 and set to rise in the coming years, reveals a study by IIM-Kozhikode students. It also projects the internet-using population to reach about 80 percent of 1.4 billion Indians by 2025 and is estimated to lead to 9.23 percent growth in the extracurricular market.
Hence, at this rapid pace, artists and their requirements are bound to increase over time. Not just this, this will also give rise to various artist managers and agencies to play a bigger role in this perspective. That would be a stepping stone which would ail the boom of the digital economy.
Task in Hand
You are the Head of Marketing and Strategy and you are supposed to come up with a plan to launch your own Artist Management company. For this, you will have to be a part of the auctions to onboard some artists who will be in a contract with your firm. Post which, you are tasked to devise a strong plan to help them out to help yourself.
Deliverables
You are to make a Report and a PPT, including but not limited to the following:
Executive Summary
Company Details - Vision, Mission, Logo and Artists
Plan of Action
Strategic Plan of the next 2 years - Artist Tours and Agency Branding
Operational Plan
Backward Integration - Event Management
Marketing Campaigns - Artists and Company
Financials - Sources, Allocation, Revenue Model, Pricing Strategy, Break Even Analysis, Cash Flow Analysis
Public Relation - Strategy and Press Release

Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder
Tumblr media
The art market today is an interactive and complex global machine consisting of moving parts in the physical and virtual spheres. In its essence, its functioning requires an interested buyer, a willing seller, and the offered art object. This cannot be possible without the valuation of the art piece. Identifying the value of a work of art and the value which the market is ready to pay for, is both a financial and aesthetic concern. Art valuation is a tricky skill to master and is even considered an art itself. There are a variety of professional services that provide appraisal and valuation of art with comprehensive market analysis that help you make better decisions.
Description of the Piece
The 19th-century piece is an ornamental arrowhead belonging to a secluded tribe.
The coming of age ceremony is a ritual that celebrates the transformation of a boy into a man. The boy is to kill a man of the neighboring tribe and drive this arrowhead into the man's skull, in the space between his eyes.
The piece is made of iron with a thin layer of cloth on which designs are painted. The designs differ from family to family, and it is passed down through generations.
Dimensions: Height - 25 cms, Width - 5 cms, Weight - 300 gms.
Task in Hand
You are the Art Director of a well known Museum and are required to value the given piece of art and provide a justification for doing so. This needs to be very realistic in terms of Value Quotation and Market Scenario.
Deliverables
You are to make a PPT of not more than 7 slides, including but not limited to the following:
Create a Tender for the acquisition of this piece by using the appropriate techniques
Justify the purchase to the board of directors of the museum
Strategies to promote the piece, post-acquisition
Extra Deliverables
Be ready with your presentations by 3:25 PM, today.
