Reorganising the Republic, Revolutionising the Republic. ACCRA as an ALPHA CITY,  the Ceremonial Ecumenopolis of AFRICA -   FIRST PAGE.
IF YOU’RE READING THIS, THERE IS A POSITIVE REVOLUTION ABOUT TO SEIZE THE WAVE AND SOBER THE VIOLENT TIDES WITH PEACE & LOVE - IT SHALL BE WORK AND HAPPINESS FOR ALL!   I have infinite belief in the art of possible. I consider myself a centrist and a pragmatist by default. It has been a 119 years since the establishment of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) and the Government of Ghana, at this very hour, continues to deny Citizens of the Republic the constitutional right to self-determine their preferred Metropolitan and Municipal Chief Executives - the real avenue of transformation.
Six decades after our most famed conquest of Great Britain, fulfilling our pursuit of political independence, our due rights and privileges as free women and men remain limited. Yet the sound of the cockerel reminds us every morning of a revolutionary and conscious youth — and soon the chickens shall come home to roost!
The Executive autocratically withholds the freewill of millions of Ghanaian households across our various provinces. There is an ever-widening gap of rhetoric and reality between the officially sanctioned lines of local authority within public institutions and the influence of informal networks. Government must respect the individual liberty of citizens wherever it is not proven destructive to the common freedom of the Republic - our independence to elect a mayor, nananom, enhances the value of our vote!
The District Assembly, which is the basic unit of our democracy, deserves the autonomy to ascertain its exclusive objectives as a community, prioritise socioeconomic and cultural issues on the basis of consensus and instruct the relevant Provinces to construct - the Republic being the Architect and the Provinces the Contractors.
This is the future of an all-inclusive vibrant democratic fraternity.
Hence, Ghanaian citizens deserve to scrutinise, at regular open District Assembly summonses, regulated by quorum, the allocation of Metropolitan resources and the management of these resources in achieving District objectives.
Thus, maximising the contribution of both civil and, or, entrepreneurial citizens to nation building even in the remotest of the interior. I shall put the crafts of The Citizenry to work - Accra is an unfinished job and, therefore, no City Resident must sit on the fence.
Unfortunately, the warmhearted lamentations of the youth, the most decisive bloc of political power, on boiling point issues of these caliber, have consistently fallen on the deaf ears of the age Old Guard.
Our natural resources are consistently exploited for the Civilisation of the Universe while the mass of our citizens continue to dwell in the inferno of hunger; poverty and disease, amid the wealth of the select political and bureaucratic elite.
The political order of local of government is in no way representative of the City Residents. And silences public opinion on issues concerning the City purse -this is inimical to the best interest of the community.  Governments are mandated on the basis of confidence in their ability to meet the aspirations of the nation, expressed through the voting class at the ballot box.
Ghana must democratise the District Assembly beginning with the Capital City and the Mayor-elect is to be duly tasked with the establishment of a National House of Assembly within the first term of office. This puts an end to a system of governance which absolves Government from accountability to The Citizenry.
In this era of nation building, we choose to consolidate our economic independence.
And the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) is fundamental to the realisation of this ambition. V. L. K. Djokoto
