Why thin pillows are not good!
Are you one of those who is sacrificing his sleeping comfort by using a thin pillow? Just because you heard somewhere that one should use a thin pillow only!!
Not that thin pillows do not have their utility at all. Thin pillows are useful when you sleep on your back to fill ONLY your neck curve. They should never extend to, under the head.
So what is wrong with using a thin pillow?
1. Thin pillows are much wider than your neck length and reach under your head and beyond. So thin pillows do not only support your neck curve or cervical lordosis but also lift your head, changing your neck curve or cervical lordosis to a straight neck. This leads to friction between vertebrae or pinching of some nerves, causing pain or/and sensation.
2. Since no one can sleep for 8 hours only on the back, when you turn to your sides to relieve your back muscles from continuous pressure on them, you need a pillow that should match in thickness the broadness of your shoulders. When you sleep on your sides on thin pillows, your head bends down putting undue pressure on your cervical spine/neck and shoulders. Over time this may cause serious medical issues including cervical spondylosis.
Change to an ergonomically customized cervical pillow that takes care of these issues and lets’ you sleep maintaining and rejuvenating a healthy spine and overcoming neck, back, shoulder pains, cervical spondylosis/spondylitis.

Do you wear a T-shirt of just any size?
No?
You shouldn't be using a pillow of just any size, either.
Use a pillow matching to your DICOP or neck length and DEWA, or shoulder broadness and see the difference. You will be happy you measured your neck and shoulder.

Overcoming Neck, Back Shoulder Pain, or Cervical Spondylosis was Never So Easy
Neck pain, back pain, shoulder pain, or cervical spondylosis are common problems. Nearly 30% of the urban population suffers from these ailments.
The root cause of such pains is either not using a pillow or using a pillow bought due to its softness or price, thinness, or memory foam. These pains are further aggravated by working on computers, high mobile phone usage, long driving hours, etc.
Most medicines and physiotherapy are just means of temporary relief until the root cause of the spine’s wrong posture while sleeping is addressed.
Overcoming these medical conditions is as easy as saying 1...2...3... -
1.     Measure DICOP – Distance from C-7 vertebra to Occipital Protuberance, looking straight. This is your neck length.
2.    Measure DEWA– Distance between your Ear and Wall. This is your shoulder broadness.
Press side of your body including shoulder into a wall (so that your body               and the wall are at 900). Keep your wall side hand in front or onto the other         shoulder. Do NOT tilt your head left or Right.
 3.    Check DICOP in the inner circle, DEWA in the middle circle, and Your Neckfit Size in the Outer circle.
