Graham had opted for them to be here instead of at his place because he wasn’t sure if Lauren was going to have Jackie over or not. And he knew that she needed to move on but it was hard to see his mother with someone else. Especially with the drinking and everything but hopefully everything will change with Jackie around and just maybe he would get one of his mother’s back at least. This was nice though, just holding Sadie like this close to him. It did help a lot. Being here and relaxing with her. Kissing her head now, as he held her closer. This was his own heaven and he wasn’t going anywhere not any time soon.
But then his phone started ringing, sighing a little bit he took it out of his pockets seeing that it was Lauren. That was when he decided to answer it, listening to her that was when he hung up the phone and sat up this time. ‘I have to get to the hospital actually. It was my mom, she didn’t say much besides get to the hospital.” There was concern in his voice because he wasn’t exactly sure what it could be. “Will you come with me?”
.
Sadie smiled softly as he kissed the top of her head, curling into him even more until the phone rang. She tucked her long red hair behind her ear, not trying to eavesdrop but she could tell something was up by the way his face fell. Her brow furrowed as she sat up, fixing her jumper before nodding at him. “Of course I’ll come with you.” She promised, leaning up to kiss him gently. “Let me just run to the bathroom and put on some shoes and I’ll be ready.”

@l0stxpieces: Closed for Christian
Setting: Kings Head
Day: New Years Eve
Lynn had been stopping by the Kings Head a few times a week for the past few months to see Christian and it didn’t seem like things were going anywhere. Now it was New Year’s Eve and Lynn was going to find out one way or another if there was actually something between them. She walked into the Kings Head, spotting Christian behind the bar. She was glad to see that they were doing well, a good sized crowd that didn’t seem to be too rambunctious. She moved to her usual spot at the bar before waving Christian over. She leaned in, giving him a small smile. “Kiss me at Midnight?”

@l0stxpieces: Closed for Verity
Setting: Penny’s flat
Day: New Years Eve
Penny had tried to distract herself from the holiday and all the romance and couples that seemed to be surrounding her. She’d hoped that Trevor could help her but after stopping by the bar and finding out that he hadn’t come in, and was ignoring her texts, she had to assume he was spending the night with Louise.
She sat on her couch, staring at Verity’s phone number before opening up her messages and sending her a text asking her if she could come over. She took a sip of her whiskey, smiling at the familiar burn as she closed her eyes, remembering a week ago when Verity had come over and given her, her Christmas present. She could remember the touch of her skin against hers and she downed the rest of the alcohol in her glass, not sure that she’d be able to make it through the night alone.

@l0stxpieces: Closed for Graham
Setting: Baker-Ford residence
Day: New Years Eve
Sadie was curled up against Graham’s side as they sat on the couch next to the Christmas tree. As much of a mess things had been the past few years, things with her and Graham had been very nice. She knew there was still so much that he didn’t talk about it with her but she knew that he knew she would always be there for him when he was finally ready to talk. She closed her eyes for a minute, just letting herself relax against his frame. He always made her feel safe and warm and she hoped that she returned the feeling for him, even just a bit.
When his phone started to ring, she opened her eyes, sitting up a bit. “Someone calling to wish you a Happy New Year?” She asked, looking around to find the clock to see what time it was. CJ had gone out with his friend and her parents had gone to some party and she wasn’t sure where Simon was. She reached for her phone, checking to see if she had any messages but it seemed all quiet so far on her end. Noticing the look on his face, she furrowed her brow. “Graham, are you okay?”

suivantexmensonge:
Audrey smiled gently and nodded. She had a quite a few relationships in her past that she had fallen head of heels for. She would have done anything to have them, but now… with Anthony none of those relationships had mattered. She was wiser then she had once been and she knew better then to hang her heart on someone who obviously wasn’t in it. “Everyone goes through things and that is the real test of a relationship. If he moves toward you, then he is obviously yours. If he does not look straight to you in a room of chaos… he is not worth your time.” She clapped her hands together. “The only exception to this is when there are children involved, because your children are always the first thing you look too before your lover but you get my meaning…”
CJ thought about what she was saying. He knew it made sense and that she was only trying to make sure that he didn’t get hurt but it was hard. He knew how much Zander was going through with everything with his family and expecting him to want to talk about coming out as well seemed like too much. Besides, it wasn’t like he exactly had a line of people waiting to even be his friend, let alone throw him a romantic picnic on the roof like Zander had. “I’ll keep that in mind. Thanks, Aunt Audrey.”

“Hey, I am just being honest but you’re welcome.” Marshall looked back at her and gave her a small smile. “That is always good to know and I thank you for that completely. When can I get started? Or should we head to your place this way I can drop off my bags?”
.
“We should probably get you settled in first.” Phoebe mused, knowing than there wouldn’t really be any point in her staying at the Church and trying to get more work done with the way her thoughts were swimming through her head. “Do you have all your belongings with you?”

“You aren’t but its been awhile since someone has told me.” Which was true, he had been back and forth between here and Mexico until Anthony came here and it actually made his life better. “Yeah, maybe.” He teased lightly.
.
Isla smiled at him again as she looked him over. “Be honest, it’s just because my accent makes you think of home, isn’t it?” She mused. She had to admit, it was nice to hear on his lips as well, even if thinking about Mexico did make her feel more than a bit sick to her stomach.

“You have not been called to my house in eons. I’m fine. It was a joke.” she said shoving him playfully with a roll of her eyes
.
Ollie laughed as she shoved him. “Yes, that might be true, but the vision of what you managed to do to that oven...that’ll never leave my mind.”

Alexandria sighed a little bit, she could use a cigarette but she had people in here. Even though some were getting ready to leave which was fine with the brunette. She didn’t like working this late due to what happened but that wasn’t something that she talked to with anyone. But maybe Robin, cause she was there but the two of them hadn’t exactly spoken for a bit well since the affair ended.
Grabbing a glass, she started wiping it out, trying her best to focus on that. She had to figure out who she was planning on taking home tonight. It helped her not deal with what was going on in her own mind. The brunette knew that she should probably talk to someone about it, cause that was the healthier way but not everyone understood. Seeing the blonde walk in once she heard the bell, her thoughts were broken and she offered her a small smile and then put the glass down. “You got it.” She made her the margarita and then placed it down in front of her. “Did you want to open a tab or just one tonight?”
.
Penny looked down at the drink before looking up at the bartender with a small smile. She reached into her bag, pulling out her wallet and sliding it across the bar. “Let’s go with a tab.” She reached for the drink, taking a sip as she allowed herself to get a good look at the bartender. She was pretty, that was obvious, which she supposed made it easier. It wouldn’t be the first time she had a one night stand. But she couldn’t help but feel guilty about it.
She wondered if she should lean into the thoughts that she shouldn’t feel guilty after all, Verity went home to Robin every night, didn’t she? She knew if she allowed herself to have those ugly jealous thoughts that it would make this easier but she was worried she’d mentally end up in a place she couldn’t get out of. She took another sip of her drink before smiling. “I’m Penny, by the way.”

“Oh umm..he’s retired now but he was a private investigator but before that, he worked for the police.” Christian really didn’t mind answering the questions. He was proud of his father, but he didn’t really have it in him to keep up that legacy.
.
“Oh, that seems like it probably takes a toll on your spirit. I can’t imagine the things that he’s seen.” Lynn offered, giving him a small smile. “Not that I think your job is easy. I can’t imagine the stress of owning something like this. I can barely pay my rent.”

@l0stxpieces
Penny watched the video of her and Verity before quickly deleting the message. She wasn’t sure why someone would care about what they were doing and she certainly wasn’t sure what someone would get out of her flirting with some bartender but she knew the video couldn’t get out. At least not until Verity was ready to come clean about everything.
After changing into something a bit nicer, Penny walked into Danny’s looking around at the patrons. There were a few people but it seemed to be a fairly quiet night. She walked up to the bar, sitting down and giving the bartender a small smile. “Can I just have... “ She knew she wasn’t really supposed to be drinking and she usually tried not to do it unless she was with someone she trusted but she was pretty sure she couldn’t do this sober. “Can I just have a margarita please?”
