it‘s actually kind of wild to bring your son and aunt and a home cooked meal as an ENTIRE APOLOGY to your best friend for arguing with him

no matter how many fics there are of it, i will never get tired of buck looking for apartments, eddie catching him and saying "i told you that you can stay as long as you need" and all variations thereof (EDDIE YOU DOPE THAT IS NOT THE SAME AS ASKING BUCK TO STAY), and buck replying "yeah but i gotta go, i can't stay, i gotta get outta your hair so you and chris can get back to normal" (BUCK YOU DOPE NEITHER OF THEM WANT YOU GONE), and eddie proceeding to take that so so so personally that he either panics and blurts "OKAY BUT I WANT YOU TO STAY" or he just bluescreens and lets buck move out even though he hates it so so so much and then a week or more later he's throwing rocks at buck's window in the middle of the night and holding up a boombox playing "come back to me" by vanessa hudgens or yknow however the author goes about it bc i'm frankly not picky

when Buck and Tommy break up I want a New Girl style post-break-up scene where Buck is like yeah sorry it didn't work out you're great I don't know why I just couldn't get serious with you and Tommy's just like, yeah you do. And Buck is like. What? No I don't? And Tommy's just like Buck come on. It's Eddie.

8.17 kind of feels like. ok so the trajectory of the season was absolutely heading towards buddie canon, or at least some feelings realization before the end of the season. we all agree after he’s a renter and he’s straight there was no going back from that. and then tim decides to kill bobby because the spider in his ear said so or whatever. and so they blew up the rest of the scripts and then tim was like oh lol forgot about making my barbies kiss. better throw in an episode framing them as spouses and film their argument in a completely different style and lighting from the rest of the show, and also make sure the actors put as much tension in the scene as physically possible before making up in the warmest most romantic lighting we can get. and then we don’t need to address it again. that should do it

my favorite way that possessive eddie shows up is when he just drops random buck lore in conversation. he is like buck is my best friend. i know him sooo well!! but it isn't even in a condescending way. it's just like yeah, this is MY special guy :) what do you want to know? what is his favorite day off activity? taking my son chris to the zoo. they have the place memorized! how long his heart stopped beating for? 3 minutes and 17 seconds, i counted every second until i restarted it :). oh you don't know the who's who of our found family? let me interject while he tells his story, so you can see how well i can finish his sentences. 😊 yay. oh he is spiraling? yeah, you gotta call me, his ~ platonic ~ bestie so i can talk him off a ledge. 😌 (<- secretly smiling like this) eddie diaz takes his role of buck understander VERYYYY seriously, and he lets the world know.

which is why i think it could have been SO FUN if natalia came back. because buck implied she saw him in a way that no one else did. and i think THAT could have really pushed eddie.... alas.... what could have been...

I so desperately want a josh and eddie team up next season. a very grudging accidental and unwilling team up. like idk they run into each other at the bank, try to pretend they didn't see each other, and then there's an armed robbery
