yeah, the bw2 hydreigon haaates ghetsis :( while the "premature evolution" isn't something i personally read much into, as it's been an established game mechanic since i believe gen 2, allowing the main character to battle strong trainers and fully evolved pokemon while maintaining the level gradient of the gameplay, the very unusual choice to have it run max power frustration is definitely a meaningful one. that dragon is Not having a good time. contrast that with antagonists in previous games who had crobat, a pokemon that evolves through friendship, hinting at their softer side. and then also keep in mind the way ghetsis's bw hydreigon has a moveset that allows it to deal massive super effective damage to all the pokemon on N's final team! lots of intentional details here.

by the way, it's been established in later pokedex entries that hydreigon really aren't vicious angry creatures by nature, they just get a bad reputation, and unfortunately tend to lash out due to that prejudice and mistreatment. they're not easy to raise, especially with how energetic and bitey deino and zweilous can be, but supposedly hydreigon mellow out a lot and are naturally just playful and curious. love their happy wiggles in 3d games :)

i'm excited for johto as well, it has some of my all-time favorites! i need to get back to the hoenn dex first. i've been sitting on the sketches for upcoming entries because i tend to prioritize commissions, and stuff keeps kinda coming up in the meantime (between irl stuff and things like the fact i actually have a wholly separate non-pokemon big artwork commission queue that's been on hold for a hot minute -_- been veeeeeery slowly chipping away at it and its kind of always on my mind) but the thing with art is that no matter how much energy you have to spare, if you never make anything for yourself then after a while you stop being able to draw anything decent altogether. at least that's how it is for me.

Hey so um. I'm not sure how you feel about people reposing your art but just in case you don't know, there's someone on TikTok reposting your art there. The @ is ace.eli and they have over 7,500 followers. They have you credited in their bio but many commenters don't realize the poster isn't the artist.

ah, i guess it is kind of on me for not including a signature of any kind on my stuff--a bad habit on my part! the way i see it at a certain level of exposure stuff getting reposted without asking is inevitable and theres no use stressing about it. it doesn't hurt me yknow. its generally easier to do big numbers on tiktok than on here, so the 7k followers isnt surprising. so long as they dont claim the art is theirs i think theres ultimately no harm in it, as i mostly do this stuff for fun/practice and its not like i get any kinda revenue from views or notes. i dont have a tiktok account nor plan to make one, so i guess i'll ask someone to ask that user on my behalf to please credit me in the post captions, just to avoid confusion and to let people know where they can find my work if they wanna see more of it. mutually beneficial arrangement yknow. and maybe a disclaimer in bio that they run the account independently and are not affiliated with me? again, to avoid confusion, cuz i don't know them and what else they might post is their business and doesn't have anything to do with me. and i need to starting signing my work obviously! i dont know why i haven't been, but it's just unwise on my part to omit an extremely standard practice. anyway, thank you for letting me know and looking out for me :)
