Having Ivy be emotional & opening up more fully about bad experiences is so always weird, cause she's not that kind of character, but also so good. I'm devouring it like ice cream.

She nodded just slightly. "She was. Once you got past her appearance, it was obvious she had a great heart & passion for life." Ivy paused again, letting her fingers brush against Yua's knuckles. "I... I didn't know her very well, or for very long, not like the other Scions did. So her... death didn't effect me much at the time. It's... only now, looking back on it, that I realize the cycle of... me losing people... began with Moenbryda."

As Ivy continued speaking the air became heavy, subconsciously making a small breeze to clear the air, easier for her to keep calm. Lost in battle, gave up the last of her energy so that a foe, that was otherwise unbeatable, could be slain. Despite her end, it was also clear of how near and dear the good memories were to her. "It sounds like she was an amazing person."

"... Moenbryda was... a Roegadyn, & very intimidating when you first saw her; her choice of weapon being an axe didn't help that much but... She was so friendly, & out-going... & flirty. A bit like me really. Though first glance at her frightened me a bit, not to long after first meeting her, she greeted Urianger to brightly, & gave him a hug that lifted him off the ground; a swear I heard his back crack too."

She's speaking a little slower, letting the memories gather of her former friend in her head. And pausing every so often to take a breath of air to keep herself calm.

"She was so smart too. A Sharlayan student. She helped us track down primals when we otherwise had no means to reach them. She gave us so much, her muscle... her knowledge... her... life. Moenbryda... gave me the last of her aether to defeat an otherwise undefeatable foe...."

She didn't speak, letting Ivy get her thoughts in order, staying silent even after her girlfriend started to speak, only squeezing her hand again to let her know that she was listening. She had never experienced a loss, at least not like this, the best thing she could do right now was listen, let her get it off her chest, whatever she was willing to share with her.

"Thank you." Ivy feel silent for a while, collecting her scrabbled thoughts. She's usually quite the open book, willing to share her experiences & adventures, but the losses, those are things she keeps close to her heart.

"I think... I think the first person I lost was Moenbryda... gods it's been a long time sense then."

"Take all the time you need, I'll be right here." Keeping her voice soft, and closing her eyes to relax. "Do you want to talk about it? Maybe it will help?"

Her fingers curl to squeeze her hand back, & she rests her head on top of Yua's to try & relax. "I'm okay. Just remembering a lot of people I've lost."

Taking a seat next to her after she sat down, Yua took one of Ivy's hands into her own, giving it a gentle squeeze. "What's wrong? I hope everything is okay."

"I'm getting better about it." Muttered quietly as she shuffles over to the bench & sits. Finding the right places & people to be vulnerable with is difficult when you're a hero, but she trusts Yua.

"No need to apologize, I'm glad that you're being open about it." Released from the tight hold she gave Ivy a soft smile before gesturing to one of the benches nearby. "Of course we can sit, I never mind."
