SYNOPSIS: After 10yrs since VJ Mandala and Zen Paradox (Steve Law) had collaborated live at the Psy 20th anniversary club event, they came together once again in a live-stream event to celebrate the 30 Sonic Years anniversary of Psy-Harmonics. One of the tracks within the Zen Paradox 1:20hr mix, a masterpiece titled 'Clathrate Gun', was extracted and audio restriped to be represented here as a standalone music-video piece.

The VJ mix to track was predominantly created using an animation sequence of a outlined square zooming in. This animation was triggered to continually restart playblack using midi note triggers placed alongside the audio track playback via Ableton. Animation was then manually augmented live using various effects, complimenting Clathrate Gun's intense sonic onslaught by creating the stark graphic shards aesthetic.

Zen Paradox is an electronic music artist, primarily involved in the production of techno as well as other more experimental electronic sounds, from Melbourne, Australia. It is the principle name under which Steve Law records and performs electronic music. He also uses the names Mr. Suspicious, and Mutagenic Mind, and collaborates with a range of artists under other names as well, such as The Sonic Voyagers, with Voiteck.

Law is reputed to have been one of Melbourne's principle live electronic acts since 1993. His first musical efforts were released in cassette form for the Melbourne Ambient Music cassette release in the mid-1980s, then in the early '90s he was a member of industrial music group Foil. He was also a principle act on local Melbourne labels Psy-Harmonics from the early 1990s, performing live throughout the 1990s, and on into the new millennium, at big warehouse rave parties like Every Picture Tells A Story, Hardware, Zoetrope, Omniglobe, Technofest and TransAtlantic, not to mention smaller, more esoteric gigs around Australia, and throughout Europe.

THIS IS NOT A TEST is not a test!On Boxing day holiday we initiated this spontaneous final 2021live stream via Twitch, Youtube and Twitter streams.

This was a opportunity via the live Techno mix and DJ set by local Melbourne artist Sharul Ariff .

After Atmos failed to record, the Twitch stream version was downloaded then remastered in Premiere where mix was trimmed and slates added top and tail.

SYNOPSIS: THIS IS NOT A TEST is not a test! After the 6th extended CONVID19 totalitarian lockdown ended we initiated this spontaneous live stream via Rumble.

This was a opportunity via the live Techno mix and DJ set by local Melbourne artist Sharul Ariff .

The live mix was mastered on an ATMOS Shogun recorder, then taken into Premiere where mix was trimmed and slates added top and tail. Audio was taken from the Rumble recording as audio drop out at my end and lack of recording at remote end.
