I’m curious what you guys think about BP’s infrequent comebacks? Personally I know it’s annoying that we don’t have a full album but I feel like the infrequent comebacks is a clear marketing tactic and the nagging for comebacks just hurts BP more since they can’t do anything about it 🥺. I’m terms of them producing music, it seems like YG has spotted that BP have been successful so far and I feel they’ll have opportunities to produce when they’re in a more stable position... thoughts on this?

As far as comebacks go, I really don’t think it’s a marketing tactic. I just think that YG are so unprepared for their artists comebacks that they don’t plan things out very well. It clearly does effect the girls, unfortunately. I remember when Jennie did a vlive where everyone was asking for a comeback back in 2017 and she made it clear to everyone that she’s struggling with the infrequencies as well. Hopefully the girls do gain control over their own music soon! Right now they rely on Teddy, a YG producer, to make music for them and that’s honestly difficult because not only does Teddy produce for YG but he also produces music for his own label so that could be why BLACKPINK take these very long breaks from putting out music...
