Alright looks like I screwed up. I have a very old blog than I made years ago but haven’t used in ages. I just used it to lurk. So I created this blog wich is a side blog of that one thinking it would be a separate blog and work just like a main one. Apparently that’s not the case and now I can’t use this one properly. Wich means I just have to make another one but then I can’t use the same username so guess I need to think of another one. I told you I have no idea how any of this works. Anyway I’ll keep you updated

I just read the Defenders of the republic book which is basically the novelization of Clone Cadets, Rookies and ARC Troopers. It’s a kids book but I found it for 3€ on eBay so I just decided to get it hoping that I’ll get some more information about the Domino squad. And well I never thought a kids book would hurt me that much. I thought I could just talk about a few things I noticed in case you haven’t read it.

Changes

They did change a few things some minor some bigger. However I did read the German version so some of the changes might just be the translation

The biggest changes are that Colt’s and 99’s death aren’t in the book. 99 still dies but they just removed the scene where it happened. Kinda funny that they had to remove scenes from a ‘kids’ show to make the book kid friendly

Remember when Droidbait calls Fives by his CT number and he corrects him? Well in the book Droidbait struggles to remember the numbers of his brothers. Yep apparently he struggles to remember Fives’ number. Anyway he says his number correct once but then starts saying it again but Fives interrupts him saying he can just call him Fives because of all the 5s in his number. And while Fives explaining his name is kinda funny I’m pretty sure that they changed that scene to explain Fives’ name to the German kids who can’t speak English yet (but I’d need someone with the English book to confirm that)

They changed Droidbait’s CT number. And I have no idea why. It doesn’t make sense at all especially because all the other CT numbers are right

Some quotes were given to the wrong Domino squad member. That only happened a few times tho

Bric calls Cutup a clown. Wich I think is hilarious but it’s probably just to explain Cutup’s name. But anyway that quote aged incredibly well

The last battle in ARC troopers is described a bit different

Now the most important part and the reason I got the book. I hoped I would find small details that aren’t in the show so I can gather all the information I can find about my favorite character. And the book didn’t disappoint.

It’s Fives who says “Next stop ARC troopers” and Cutup is the one who says “How about we face some combat first”

Apparently Hevy wants to punch Echo when he suggested that they can learn something from Bravo squad

When Droidbait was shot they were supposed tho shield him from the droids so someone can check on him. That’s the protocol and that’s also why they failed

Cody gives Fives his blaster in rookies

Fives, Echo, Hevy and Cutup stare at the dead bodies of NUB and Droidbait because even though they knew from training that situations like that would happen they still weren’t prepared for it. Kinda obviously but seeing it actually write out does hit different

All the other details are quite depressing. Echo reflects on Hevy’s death. He thinks about how different they were at first and how it was difficult t to believe that they had the same DNA. That they didn’t like each other at first but became friends. And how Hevy taught Echo a lot on the Rishi moon, like how to be a good leader. Echo then decided to keep Hevy’s best traits (Yep they managed to make that scene even sadder)

Fives is the one who says “thanks to Hevy” when they see the separatists are on the run (I think you can’t really tell in the show)

Echo and Fives realized after the Rishi moon what it meant to be brothers. So my guess is that is when they got really close

There is a deleted scene of ARC troopers where Echo and Fives have to load boxes onto LAATs (it’s on YouTube if you don’t know it yet). Apparently they often were assigned to to take care of supplies when they had free time. Because that job was so boring Fives decided to start telling jokes because it reminded him of being back on Kamino with the Domino Squad. But he’s also bad at it because Echo just stares empty at him saying “it was Cutup who was good with jokes not you”

When 99 asks them about Hevy Fives doesn’t know what to say at first. He then thinks about how the chance to loose his life is just part of being a clone but that they usually try not to talk about it. Echo then continues the explanation but keeps it short because he doesn’t want to relieve the painful experience again. This is just really sad because of all the things it implies. I’ll probably make a separate post about it because I have a lot of thoughts about this. But yeah I’m sad now.

I would definitely recommend getting the book if you find it for cheap. It’s fun to read and the cover is pretty cool too so it’s a fine addition to your collection

Alright first real post here. Well it’s technically a recycled post from my Instagram story.

Fives being dramatic about carbon freezing. You might have noticed that he falls over when he gets unfrozen, but there’s more.

None of the others look that concerned. Guess he really doesn’t want to be wall decoration. What makes this even funnier is that there are scenes where he almost gets hit by a blaster and he doesn’t even flinch

Hello there

I thought I could make an introduction post first since I‘m new here so you know what to expect from this blog.

- I’m Sarah I’m 22 and she/her and they/them pronouns are fine

- I love the clone wars and especially the clones. I like other fandoms too but Clone Wars is what I focus most on atm

- I post video edits on Instagram but I think a lot about clones especially Fives and up until now I’ve been sharing those things on my Instagram story but obviously that’s not really the best place to post those things and Twitter is just scary. Which is why I decided to make a tumblr.

- I also like playing Battlefront 2 (on PC) so if anyone wants to play just tell me

- some more personal stuff, I’m going to start studying philosophy in April, I love dogs, queen and meteorology and I have social anxiety so if I’m trash at social interactions that’s why

Anyway I hope I can meet some new people here that I can talk about clones with
