bakubombsâ:
âYouâre about as cool as a rock on a summers day in the middle of July.âÂ
Bakugou was staring blankly at Present Mic. An emotionless stare âand you always pick terrible B rated horror movies.âÂ
The high pitch screech of indignation was loud enough to be heard across the campus, and that was without the use of his quirk.Â
âEx-cuse you, Listener, The only reason you get B-rated movies is because last time I played a real horror movie half your class was practically crying in my classroom. Aizawa said you all refused to sleep in your rooms and built a makeshift pillow fort in the common area.âÂ
He crossed his arms, frowning down over his shades at the unruly child. âAnd I am way cool! The coolest! ...You just have no taste.â

haltquirkâ:
[ Zashi // voiceheroradio ]
Shouta is acutely aware of his cheeks brightly burning, two glowing spots that are currently broadcasting his feelings to everyone around. âEveryoneâ in this situation happens to be his longtime friend and the man he has strong feelings towards. Itâs definitely less than ideal. His usual talent for compartmentalization has mysteriously vanished and left him at the mercy of his emotions.
It looks like Hizashi is embarrassed too, though his natural caution just attributes that to how goddamn awkward their situation had been.
The Erasure Hero chews his lip as he leans against the counter, keeping his eyes fixed on the bland tiling of the floor beneath their feet. While he nods along to what his friend is saying, itâs clear enough from how he crosses his arms that he doesnât agree.
âJust because youâve had worse doesnât mean that you just have to ignore it.âÂ
The rambling is just as endearing as ever- Shouta has to struggle against the smile that wants to rise on his face, instead exaggerating his scowl.
Then he sees Hizashi stumble and before heâs even thinking, he reaches towards him, one hand settling on the other manâs arm in an attempt to settle him. That doesnât help their situation at all, of course- the sugar is safe, but now theyâre uncomfortably close again, and itâs a too obvious tell for how much he cares about him. Theyâre close, and that just brightens the color on his face.
âAh- sorry,â he says hastily. He withdraws his hand. âI thought you were going to fall, andâŚâ There, he lets himself trail off, not sure exactly how to explain himself without looking overly sentimental. âAre you sure youâre alright? You should sit down.â
Shoutaâs hand on his arm is almost enough to make him drop the sugar again in surprise. Itâs an accumulation of things, of the still very present thoughts in his head and the scenario theyâd been in not ten minutes prior, of the intimacy of the gesture and how Shouta is now right there and blushing and are they having a moment right now because itâd be so easy to just lean forward and-
And then Shouta is pulling away, leaving Hizashi practically scrambling for air. His arm is surprisingly cold where his friendâs hand had been, and thereâs a feeling of regret deep in the pit of his stomach for not acting on his thoughts. He shoves it back down.
âI, ah, yeah...â The words are flustered and unintelligent, but itâs really all he can manage at the moment. It was ridiculous that after 15 years Shouta could still have him stumbling over his words with a little shared space, but here he was.Â
He might need something a little stronger than coffee at this point. Unfortunately itâs still the middle of the school day so thereâs no chance of alcohol, and heâs pretty sure he chugged the last of his energy drinks this morning with his breakfast.Â
âIâm, um, good. Peachy keen!â He gives a double thumbs up with the English phrase, wincing slightly at the overly energetic movement. â...but youâre probably right, I should get some ice.â The last thing he needs is to be sore during patrol later.Â
Plus it gives him something else to distract him as he heads to the freezer in search of an ice pack. Luckily the school is well prepared for minor injuries and he finds one quickly, wrapping it in a towel off the counter and pressing it against the bruise. At the very least itâll hide the flush that had been crawling up his neck since he entered the kitchen.Â
His gaze falls back on his best friend- the friend heâd almost kissed a minute ago, holy shit he needed to get these feelings under control NOW-Â and he gave him a bright smile. âSee? All better! No need to worry. If anything I should be worried about you- howâs your head? Youâre looking a little better than when I walked in- did the massage help your migraine?â Time to employ his number one strategy; deflection.

dupli6â:
The Voice Hero nodded at Shojiâs words, reluctantly agreeing with him. If this was a prank it made sense not to tell the teachers- theyâd only put a stop to it before the staff could have their fun. And that was exactly what Mic was planning to do as he reached the lobby, marching towards the counter and ringing the bell harder than necessary.Â
The sound echoed through the empty lobby. Nobody appeared from behind the counter or came running from the staff room off to the side.
Well that was odd. Despite the annoying pranks this was still a business. Hizashi tapped the bell again, hitting the button a few times in an attempt to draw somebodyâs attention. The results didnât change however, the room remaining empty besides him and his student.Â
âWell, thatâs weird-â Mic didnât get to finish his thought as the radio behind the desk started up, the old-fashioned song more static than music. It grew in volume as the lights flickered, a strange waltz filling the air and at ridiculous volumes. The sound had Mic scrambling for the headphones around his neck, tossing them to Shoji to protect his studentâs hearing as much as possible.Â
Then, as suddenly as it started, the music cut off and was replaced with the voice of the radio DJ. Except-
âHEY Listeners, weâve got some special guests tonight! A PRO HERO and a HERO IN TRAINING! Thatâll be really exciting, eh? Well Iâve got a secret for you- YOUâRE GONNA DIE TONIGHT!!!âÂ
That was impossible- that was his voice! But heâd never said those words, so how were they playing on the radio? That terrible music was back, louder still, and the furniture was starting to rattle with the volume. They needed to get out of here, and they needed to do it yesterday.Â
âShoji, get outside!âÂ
Even with the force of his quirk he barely heard himself over the music. Luckily the door was nearby, and surely whatever this weirdness was couldnât follow them outside. All they had to do was escape, and theyâd be fine.
The music was just loud enough to cover the sound of a chain snapping as the large chandelier over the door broke free, careening to the ground in an attempt to block their exit.
#dupli6#((OOoOoOohh SpoOoOoky))#((I am 100% operating under the assumption Shoji has a normal set of ears as well))#((Because when I started thinking about it I tried to look at pictures to make sure and his ears are always covered))#((Or at least where his ears would be if he does have them))#((Otherwise those headphones Mic gave him ain't doing jack squat lol))

The Voice Hero laughs, shaking his head. âKnowing you nothing can keep you out of trouble, Tensei! Iâm glad to hear things are going good though.â His grin softens into something more genuine. Itâs a smile he reserves only for his friends; he really was happy to hear Tensei was doing better. There had been a terrifying moment when they thought theyâd lost him. Hizashi didnât know what heâd do if that were the case.
Probably join Tenya in his quest for vengeance if he were being honest.
But Tensei was still alive and well, so Mic focused on the here and now. âThe kids are great this year! Honestly Iâm not used to having so many of them- Shoutaâs usually expelled half the class by now. But the extra workload isnât too terrible, although I think Iâve developed an actual dependence on caffeine.â Heâs only half-joking; between the school, hero work and his radio show he doesnât have a lot of time for sleep. Red Bull and Espresso have become his new cocktail of choice.
voiceheroradioâ:
âYo, Tensei!â Hizashi is practically bouncing in place as he grins at his friend. Itâd been a while since theyâd talked face to face- and of course his first concern is his little brother. Mic chuckles at that, giving the older Ida two thumbs up.Â

âHeâs doing great! He could stand to loosen up a little and give me a âheyâ every so often, but his English is fantastic!â He switches to English for the compliment, spinning slightly to give the word a little more flourish.Â
Of course he holds nothing against Tenya for not responding to his usual in-class commands of âEverybody say hey!â considering most of the class stays silent; first years are often the shyest, and Tenya is one of the more serious in the class. By their third year heâs confident theyâll all be shouting along with him, pumping up the classroom.Â
âHow about you, my friend? Are you staying out of trouble?â
Tenya? Needing to loosen up? Yeah, that sounded like his brother all right. âJust give him some time. Heâs always been such a serious kid. Iâm sure if anyone can get him to loosen up, itâll be you, Mic,â he says with a grin, then shrugs slightly at the questions about himself.Â
âCanât get into too much trouble nowadays,â he admits with a wry laugh, indicating his wheelchair. âBut Iâm doing good! Therapy has been going better than expected so thereâs that.âÂ
âAnd you? Howâs teaching going? I canât imagine teaching a bunch of teenagers on top of hero work.âÂ
#ogingenium#((Yeeeeeesss they are 100% friends!!))#((He's the same age as Hizashi and Shouta so honestly it only makes sense they'd be at school at the same time))#((And yeah Vigilantes is super awesome!! I have so much more love for Tensei after reading it and I'm happy they gave him more attention))

luckyherocopycatâ:
Present Mic might just barely be able to make out the wrinkle on the bridge of Miuraâs nose, the only evidence of the smug little grin hidden under her mask. She tries to be annoyed at cat puns, but some of them still get her.
âNah,â she dismisses casually with a lazy flick of the wrist, âtoo much work. Iâd never get back on the field, myself, if I took that up. Iâm cool just pouncing around when I can and helping out. Kinda old fashioned.â CC glances off at that, sounding a bit embarrassed while she idly scratches at her black ear.
The returned pun gets a laugh out of him, his posture completely relaxed now. Heâd already decided he liked this hero. Not only was she laid back and friendly, but she liked puns! Plus her feline physique was super cool- Shouta would love her if his behavior around Sansa said anything. He was always staring the officer down with the same gaze he gave particularly antsy strays, itching to pet them but respecting that they wouldnât like it.Â
Maybe Copy Cat was related to Sansa.
And maybe he should stop letting his thoughts stray so much. The Voice Hero redirected his focus to the conversation at hand, nodding at her answer.Â
âI mean it depends what sort of agency you start- with mine I dictate a lot of the paperwork and management to my most trusted sidekicks so I have more time to do hero work. And radio work. And school work. But thatâs besides the point- I have the overall say on the bigger decisions, but I let other people worry about the small stuff.â He moved his hands as he spoke, his constant energy presenting itself with every word.Â
âItâs cool if thatâs not your thing though! I think the only real benefits to an agency are that it makes it easier to get paid and lets you build a good team. Ingenium was always really good about that! But I bet itâs nice to be able to do your own thing without worrying about the extra scheduling and paperwork.âÂ

âBackflipping onto a table would be absolutely useless,â Aizawa says. âIgnoring the fact that it would be incredibly difficult and you would have to jump a lot higher to accomplish it, itâs completely useless.â He fixes Hizashi with a withering glare as he continues. âAnd I highly doubt that you have any parkour skills.â
And of course the fucker continues poking and prodding at him. Aizawa groans, head lolling back so he can blink up at the ceiling as if to ask why me? âYou mean manx cats? Or Japanese bobtails?â Thatâs not the point. He looks back at his friend. âYouâre seriously not dropping this. I donât want to put paint on my face.â
âOkay first of all, how dare you. Just because I donât swing from the rooftops on a scarf doesnât mean I canât parkour with the best. I am the reigning âFloor is Lavaâ champion, and that game is 90% parkour!â The way this conversation is going theyâre going to end up having a parkour competition in one of the training fields, and that would completely distract from his mission.
Speaking of distractions, Shoutaâs next question throws him completely for a loop. He opens his mouth to respond, then closes it again as he thinks. Then his phone is in his hand as he googles the two cat breeds, knowing he wonât be able to focus on the conversation until heâs sated his curiosity.Â
âOhhhhh Shouta look at the bobtails! Itâs just a ball of floof! Theyâre like bunny rabbits!â He shoves his phone towards his friend, attention completely steered away from the Halloween party.Â

erasedassassinâ:
Bloodshot eyes narrowed towards the babbling from the other man. The differences from his husband were obvious from the moment he saw the newcomer. Hair was up. Body posture was far more fidgety and, in a way, less confident. The nervous demeanor that jumped through his body like an electric pulse. But, by far, it was the eyes. His Hizashiâs eyes were often alight with a glint that was missing from this oneâs, even noticeable from behind those outrageous shades.Â
Obviously not the same man.Â
Hizashi never lied to him. Of course, Shouta knew about his Micâs little encounters with the dimensional hopping doppelganger and, in some dark part of the Eraser Villainâs mind, he had been itching for an encounter himself. Seemed today was his lucky day. His relaxed posture and facial Kabuki mask hid the rictor smile that had crossed his lips. He was sure that such a look would have sent his âfriendâ skittering through the darkness like a bug.Â
âI know who you are.â He said, tone dry. âI was simply making an observation. No need to spout.â The villain huffed as he waved his hand in front of him. âYouâre the one who canât âget his ballsâ, as my partner likes to say.â The dryness did not leave his voice as he stuck his hands into his pockets and proceeded to move forward, not caring of the diminishing pace between the two of them. He finally stopped, dark eyes meeting Hizashiâs own.Â
Instantly, he was going through the different scenarios this could go. The sadistic side of Shouta was starting to rear its ugly head, but his Mic had made him absolutely promise not to permanently harm his twin.Â
          âHeâs mine to break, baby.â
âMic told me not to kill you. Suppose I should honor his wishes. He wants that pleasure himself.â

However, there had been no rule that Aizawa couldnât PLAY with his husbandâs twin.
âHey! Donât be rude!â Mic knew this wasnât his friend- there was no hint of amusement in his eyes, no fondness hidden under the indifferent tone. His movements seemed less relaxed around Hizashi and more like a predator stalking itâs prey. That didnât make it any easier to stop himself from slipping into the usual playful banter he had with his own Shouta.Â
It took a lot of willpower not to step back as the man suddenly moved into his space. Heâd be lying if he said he wasnât intimidated by the behavior- but then again that was probably the point of it. Hizashi himself was very bad at understanding the concept of personal space, but this man was a villain. The closer he was the more dangerous he was.
Still, his grin widened ever so slightly at the other manâs words. His twin had said not to kill him? Maybe there was a bit of good in him somewhere after all! Sure the part about keeping that pleasure for himself was concerning, but the double hadnât done anything permanent yet, so maybe there was still hope there.Â

âOh, well thatâs nice of him!â The Voice Hero swung his hand up with a thumbs up, barely avoiding smacking the other in the face. It was Eraserâs fault for getting so close- youâd think heâd know better than to get within arms reach while he was talking. âI mean, not the wanting me for himself, thatâs a little ridiculous. But itâs nice heâs not actively sending my best friendâs clone to murder me! How is he, by the way? Still doing the whole âvillainâ thing?â

"Plastic isn't food."
Mic quickly pulled the end of the pen out from between his teeth, startled at the familiar voice. Heâd honestly thought he wouldnât run into his double this time; heâd already been here for a couple hours, long enough that heâd grabbed a table in the back of a nearby coffee shop. His logic had been that no hero or villain would be searching for his twin here- it didnât seem like the manâs scene.
Apparently that thought had been wrong.
âWell hey, Double Trouble. I didnât think Iâd see you here! I pegged you more for a âseedy barâ kinda guy.â He gave the man his trademark Present Mic grin, but it was definitely strained. His double was a wild card. The man went from trying to kill him to completely ignoring him from day to day depending on his mood, and it was almost impossible to tell which way he was leaning until he made his move.Â
Hizashi was really hoping today wasnât a fighting day. Previous to his abrupt relocation heâd been in the middle of his living room with Shouta, silently grading papers together- the last thing heâd seen was his best friendâs eyes flashing red in panic, unaware until now about Hizashiâs tendency to slip between worlds- which meant he didnât have any of his hero gear on him. There was no way heâd win in a fight without his speaker or his ear protection. It also meant heâd still been holding his folders with the papers he was grading, which were scattered on the table in front of him. He really didnât want to risk losing all this work.
In fact itâd been Kaminariâs butchered essay thatâd reduced him to chewing on the butt of his pen, a habit that only showed itself in times of deep focus or distress. This case was a little bit of both- he knew boy had potential, but his poor grasp of conjunctions mixed with randomly misplaced words was enough to cause a familiar pounding in the back of his skull. The three cups of coffee heâd had in the time heâd been there probably werenât helping with that.Â
#manicvoice#((Sorry if this is slightly scattered- my brain is being difficult))#((Also out of curiosity would your Mic know my Mic is a teacher? I hadn't thought about it until now))

âIâm trying to take a picture of you, please stop moving.â
Hizashi pauses mid-story, hands still out in an enthusiastic gesture that had just barely avoided knocking a lamp off the end table. It would be an odd request if he wasnât acutely aware of the shaggy grey cat perched on his shoulder. She did this often, somehow unbothered by her ownerâs constant movements as she let herself be carried around his home.Â
âOh- okay!â He answered in English, laughing softly as he brought his arms down in a less wild pose. He was sure by now Shoutaâs phone had to be filled with pictures of his cat, but she was always happy with the attention. Riff was a ham for the camera- sheâd always roll on her back or wiggle her tail at Shouta the second he turned his phone in her direction, soaking up the underground heroâs soft words and gentle pets.Â
Hizashi was pretty sure his friendâs frequent visits were mostly for the cat, now that he thought about it. It was endearing seeing them interact though, so he wasnât complaining.Â
#tiredcatman#((My grandparents' cat actually used to perch on my shoulder whenever I visited lol))#((Cats are wonderfully ridiculous))
