Please read this as if you were a member of your

family. Perhaps your brother, sister, or friend, imagining that my family, which is now under threat of death, is your family. My name is Mahdi. We used to live a peaceful life in our home, which was destroyed by the bombing in this war, destroying our present, memories of our past, and shattering our future. My house, built piece by piece, contained every drop of sweat I shed while working to provide my children with a decent and peaceful life. In an instant, a missile struck and destroyed it, but praise be to God in all circumstances.

After this destruction, I couldn't find a livelihood inside Gaza, nor could we find suitable work, education, or healthcare for human life. Because I care about my children and grandchildren, I want them to live a peaceful life, safely, and in the best condition possible.

So, I decided to create this link to ask for help to leave Gaza for Egypt. The cost is very high, and I cannot afford it. Then, move from Egypt to a foreign country. However, the financial cost of traveling from Gaza is too high for me, estimated at $6,000 per person. Also, my living expenses in Egypt to move to a foreign country also need funding.

My family consists of (Mahdi the father, Elham the wife, Mohammad the son, Saeed the son, Ahlam the daughter, Shareen the daughter, Sandus the son's wife, Ahmed the grandson, Saleh the grandson). My family is all I have in this world, and I fear for their survival in Gaza. Asking for your help is the only way I have to save my family's life and future. Your assistance may become our hope when hope is far from us in these circumstances. Every dollar you can donate may save a life, bring hope to weary hearts, and save the future of this family.

Please do not read this story as a tragic tale. I'm here to ask you to prevent it from becoming more tragic and to help us start our lives anew. I'm here to ask for your help, not your sympathy, to ask you to take action, whether by donating or sharing this with anyone you know who can help. It's with a heavy but hopeful heart that I watch Palestinian families fundraiser on here, slowly accumulating the precious little money to go around that they need to survive. However, not everyone is so lucky. A lot of Palestinians that have not had that kind of luck, that did not get early verification, that did not get massive platforms behind them from large bloggers, have approached me in my inbox, asking me kindly to do what I can for them. It kills me that I have so little to give myself, but I've seen this platform collectively raise enough to change someone's life. I've made a list of Palestinian fundraisers that are extremely low on funds, in the hope that drawing attention to people who have not been lucky at all can help turn that luck around. I know most of us can't possibly give enough to get all of these families safe in one go. But please, reblog this list. Pick one or two fundraisers, give what you can, and then keep track of it. This fundraiser belongs to Sujoud, who is a mother of 4 from Gaza. Sujoud’s eldest son has recurring cancer for which he receives treatment in Egypt. In September 2023, Sujoud and her son went to Egypt for his medical treatment, leaving her husband and 3 younger children in Gaza. After the genocide began in October, Sujoud was unable to return to Gaza and has been separated from her family since.

In December 2023, Sujoud’s husband was killed in an air strike, leaving her 3 younger children without care or a guardian in Gaza. Sujoud and her son are still separated from her 3 younger children now, as the cost to evacuate them was too high for her to manage on her own.

Sujoud’s fundraiser is legitimate and it is extremely low on funds, with only $372/45k (CAD), less than 1% of her goal. Please reblog, share her fundraiser with others, and give whatever you can, no matter the amount!

I've been messaging back and forth with @mohammedalanqer after he shared his fundraiser with me, and very quickly into our conversation I offered to draw a comic about him to help boost his gofundme. he was incredibly excited about the idea and shared so many lovely pictures of his family for reference. the text is based off his story of him and his family living under constant bombardment, which you can read here.

he has been able to raise €50,403 out of €58,000, meaning he only has €7,592 left to be able to evacuate. please share this comic as much as possible so that he can reach his goal!

I mean, insofar as decades of politically-motivated sanctions can make necessary an impossible amount of self-sufficiency, such that the country's fleet of aircraft consists in large part of units past their typical service windows kept running on cannibalized replacement parts... it's not necessarily not an assassination depending on the cause of the crash and for a temporally wide-enough use of the term.
